I find other people's jobs quite fascinating.

So how are you currently filling your time? Give us a flavour of how you earn your keep.

I've moved on from Technology reports, and now I'm ranking year 9 boys by their predicted Key Stage 3 results so they can be streamed more effectively.

Not terribly interesting though

My husband keeps me:D

My last job was in Florida where I was a charge nurse on a 40 bedded medical/surgical ward. Used to work nights and look through a hell of a lot of patients charts making sure all the orders that had been written that day had been done.
When I wasn't in charge I'd be looking after 6-8 patients who had just had bowel surgery:D

That's still illegal in some parts of the country!

I am just about to look into our company database, and see how many leads we have had in over the last few days. I then sort them, and distrubute them depending on their location.

I am supposed to be writing a hypnotherapy script for a client's appointment next week, I've done about half of it so far!

I'm trying to buy some China Development bonds for a hedge fund in London.

He wont pay the right price, and all I've managed to find so far are 2 other buyers.

Strong employment numbers in the US have finally galvanised the buyers into action.

I've just finished writing the last of about fourteen different guides for various businesses on the new Licensing Act 2003. This has involved ploughing through 350 pages of the Act, 500+ pages of the Regulations and 178 pages of Government Guidance.

No wonder I have a headache. :(

I have had a very stressful day, trying to get a firm of solicitors to deal with a particular matter so that some clients of mine could move into their house today. I also had a somewhat easier matter complete this morning, and I believe some other clients are now moving excitedly into their new home even as I type.

I tied up a probate file first thing this morning. Not a huge estate, and lots of debts, but a HUGE amount of work, and some very nice beneficiaries who it has been a pleasure to work for. Very pleased to be able to send out some large cheques to them.

On top of that, I have dictated various letters, solved some computer problems, and spent a lot of the day on the telephone. I am now off to the hospital to see the boys. That short sort out my stress levels. :)

Normally I would be speaking to customers about their accounts *boring* but today - I have the day off, so I am chatting to who ever is out there listening :wink2:

Today at work I unpacked and packed the same cupboard 3 times looking for something that wasn't there, helped some children write numbers and letters, sang 'I've got 10 little fingers', and cleaned the toilets. Very glamorous.

Had a meeting to discuss the implementation strategy for the new Licensing Act 2003, came back, organised some training I have to provide for the admin staff, and devised some forms for them to use when applications start coming in.

Really am VERY bored of this piece of legislation now.

I did very little of use at work today as our network is still down.

Instead I ordered myself a new phone for my birthday, and e-mailed rude stuff to my friend.
