View Full Version : *Potential Spoiler* I cannot guarantee these are correct
Sylvia in Stilettoes 05-11-2004, 05:45 PM Found this elsewhere so it may not be right.Songs for tomorrow MIGHT be
Tabby - Addicted to Love (Robert Palmer)
Voices with Soul - Amazing Grace (Judy Collins or Sinead O'Connor)
Cassie - Say a Little Prayer (Aretha Franklin)
Rowetta - Over the Rainbow (Judy Garland or Eva Cassidy)
2 to Go - (I've had) The Time of My Life (Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes)
Steve - Smile (Nat'King' Cole or Robert Downey Jnr)
G4 - ...Baby One More Time (Britney Spears)
:shock:to G4
Voice of reason 05-11-2004, 05:51 PM Slyvia I have added *potential Spoiler* to the title of your thread just in case folk would rather not know :)
Hummm, I wouldn't be surprised if they were right though, Rowetta sang 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' in one of her auditions and the other's seem to be about what you'd expect. Sadly there's not a great deal of difference from the styles they have chosen other weeks either. Except G4...and that's just mental!
Disappointing :(

Sorry......I wasn't thinking properly.
G4's is just ludicrous and I cannot imagine what VWS would do to theirs. It could all be very wrong anyway. :)
Voice of reason 05-11-2004, 06:10 PM Sorry......I wasn't thinking properly
It's ok, don't worry :)
I'd really like to see them all doing something a bit different really. I liked it in the last pop idol when they were given themes because it really sorted out who could sing and who could only sing one style.
floopy 05-11-2004, 06:28 PM Hmm, not sure about Cassie's choice either - I've never heard anyone out-do Aretha.
I think Simon said it once, on Pop Idol, that you just dont mess with the classics.
Scooby 05-11-2004, 09:36 PM 2 To Go will actually be gone.
cheerio!
Sylvia in Stilettoes 05-11-2004, 10:04 PM I heard a bit of 'Amazing Grace' by VWS.It was horrendous.I shudder to think what G4 might be like also.
Sylvia in Stilettoes 05-11-2004, 10:05 PM btw.....that list of songs, much to my amazement, was correct. :)
Dolores 06-11-2004, 09:44 AM I cannot wait for G4!! do you think they will out crass Darius!
I have got tears in my eyes just thinking about the HUGE embarrassment factor! How could Louis let them!!!
The songs are all naff.
It should be hysterical tonight!!
Previously didn't they all have to do a particular theme? ie. Beatles songs, ballards, musical numbers. it is much more controlled that way in judging the style and talent (although I have to say there is precious little talent in any of them). They will be lucky if they end up doing cabaret at Butlins.
Based on the above my predictions for tonight is final two:
G4 and 2 to Go
It will be a tie and both of them will go.
Groucho 07-11-2004, 11:10 AM Great inside info Sylvia.

Hardly Groucho  I only copy/pasted from another site.
Coastie 07-11-2004, 05:07 PM Yes but you did it with such grace and style SiS I for one am suitably impressed! ;)
Voice of reason 07-11-2004, 06:08 PM Yeah great info Sylv :) I was hilariously able to baffle my whole family by correctly predicting what each would sing before they started! My son even bet me a tenner that G4 would NOT sing 'Hit me baby' hehehehe. I let him off though ;) Mind you, I fell down on VWS who didn't sing Amazing Grace after all, good job I didn't have the bet on that!

In the preview programme VWS did sing 'Amazing Grace' and it was horrific.Since the info was reliable I'll go to the same site next week and you can tease your family again.
Minklemar 08-11-2004, 01:57 PM I heard them rehersing Amazing Grace on the Friday show and their voice coach said they weren't very happy with the arrangement. They mustn't have had much time to practive the song they ended up singing.

Ahhh, mind you, 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' wasn't much cop either, 'Amazing Grace' must have been really bad if they thought that was better!
I'd love to hear what they will be singing next week, though I think the family are on to me now :wink2:
