I'm not getting the security prompt, I used to get asked to accept some bit of kit (Flash plug in or summat) but that doesn't happen now. Tis dead sad all alone out here *Cue great wailing and gnashing of teeth* Scooby 05-11-2004, 09:47 PM This thread raised my hopes to an imperceptible level, and only a silent ILS was present. How rubbish. cheerio! Andrea 05-11-2004, 09:52 PM I just got in and did get asked to accept that whatever it is, and got in. Must have just missed you Scoobs. I remember the first time I got asked to accept that whatever it is, I thought NOOOOOO, its going to give me a virus! I think we missed the big party earlier on. floopy 05-11-2004, 10:07 PM This thread raised my hopes to an imperceptible level, and only a silent ILS was present. you turn up 3 hours late and expect to see the show? Voice of reason 05-11-2004, 10:11 PM Andrea can you tell me the name of the thing it asks you to accept please? Andrea 05-11-2004, 10:21 PM Sorry for the delay Voice, I've just been watching Gwen Stefani on Jonathan Ross. I've just tried to go back in there and now I just get straight in, it doesn't ask me now and I can't remember exactly what it said, sorry. Andrea 05-11-2004, 10:24 PM Hold on Voice, I've just signed off then back on again and it asked me this time. It's "jIRC applet" that you have to accept, a security prompt, whatever that is. Voice of reason 05-11-2004, 10:24 PM No problem, thanks for looking. I have downloaded the micromedia flash plug in but that has made absolutely no piggin difference whatsoever. So my life as an outcast has now begun *Cue violins as Voice walks slowly away, shoulders slumped looking totally defeated* Groucho 05-11-2004, 10:31 PM Are you in the right chat room......we're having a huge party in here! :drinking: secrets 05-11-2004, 10:55 PM I can put a chatroom on my site if you want, it is not 'out there' for any one else, and if it means anyone can chat you are most welcome to use it.:) jaycee 06-11-2004, 08:25 PM No problem, thanks for looking. I have downloaded the micromedia flash plug in but that has made absolutely no piggin difference whatsoever. So my life as an outcast has now begun *Cue violins as Voice walks slowly away, shoulders slumped looking totally defeated* You're not alone Voice - I can't get in either. I get a blank screen with a small white square with a red cross in it in the corner - I've tried clicking it but nothing. We'll be outcasts together  sheoque 07-11-2004, 10:09 AM With BT I can use chat. Have been telling a few pals about the site and not all can get in. Not so easy with aol and when I have been elsewhere and used other service providers. I do have to individually enable the pop ups for the chat room, and the computer gave me instruction to do that. I too accept the box even though the do not accept is highlighted. Interestingly Chat has always worked on daughters Dell laptop. |
