What song or line from a song inspired you or touched your hart

Of course there is the classic I will survive which is every girl or gay chaps favourite

But there must be some more out there that did it for you

For me its two out of three ain't bad by Meatloaf

It reminds me of a girl called Alison who was almost Mrs Cockney number two but the line from the song was so right

I want you I need you but there ain't no way i'm ever gonna love you so I left

What’s yours?

One that instantly springs to mind is for an ex boyfriend of many moons ago who would not take the hint after six months and became a real pain the ****...so to him I dedicated...

"Thorn in my side" by Annie Lennox.....

I actually taped it and sent it to him aswell!!!!!"

I may even gone as far as dedicating it on local radio too.... :boxing:

'Tempted' by Squeeze
I still get feelings of guilt when I hear it - and I didn't even do anything bold!

I thought about it tho......

Madonna - "Dont go for the 2nd best baby, put your love to the test" from the song "Express yourself" This song inspiried me when i was in junior school to go after a lad I had fancied for ages LOL

A song that has touched my heart has got to be "Missing you" by Puff Daddy and Faith Evans........ a beautiful song.........one which I would like playing at my funeral should the worse ever come to me.

SQUEEEEZE I love them...Glen Tilbrook, come to me baby. I actually sat on a swing next to him at Highfields Park in London about 6 years ago...he smiled at me in fancy you way. Hugh Laurie was in the park at the same time funny enough.

Squeeze's album reminds me off my wanton youth, I was about 16/17/18. A certain beefy chap who was a rower comes to mind. Not that he was anything special he just introduced me to Squeeze.

What was the song about the old lush and the whiskey bottle.....

NB...Next CD to buy.

PS Bags I sit next to you at the meet and we can sing together.

That was labelled with love Cat.

I have to agree, the lyrics on Squeeze's songs are tremendous. Up the junction is like a mini soap opera played to music.

One that is special to me is

'Could It Be I'm Falling In Love'

It reminds me of a short but very sweet (whilst it lasted) relationship a while ago!

I think thats a great line too Cockney...

Lyrics that really touched my soul are pretty much the whole of Wicked Game by Chriss Issac

"What a wicked game to play
To make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do
To let me dream of you
What a wicked thing to say
You never felt this way
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you"

Practically all of 'How Soon Is Now?' by the Smiths gets to me if I'm in that kind of mood, but the real killer is..

"You could meet somebody who really loves you
So you go and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home, and you cry and you want to die"

Anyone who feels unlucky in love is by now sobbing into their pilllow.

Great choice KittenCat - i love that song so so much.

I think the ultimate line from that song is " I am human and I need to be loved, just like everybody else does" it just gets me!

In an unrelated incident i was out in dublin the first week of jan and i ws in a pun about 8.30 on thurs night and who did i see in the corner of the pub only Morrissey! He was all decked out in a suit and looked great - i saw in the paper the next day he had been at the Alexander premier, i really wanted to go up adn say hi as i love his music... but i didnt in the end because he is such a private person.. ah well!

I don't think I have heard that smiths song kit but I have a greatest hits of there’s somewhere I will have to dig it out and have a listen

Do you have one that puts you on top of the world?

Err can I get you a drink I am a big fan of yours or

Can I have your autograph are ok

It’s the ones that by you a drink and then talk to you all evening like there your best friend and you don't even know them that that gets on there nerves

Emm i was kind of respecting the fact he was out with mates and is a renowned recluse!

The place where we saw him is a really really quite bar (drink is for nothing tho!) so he was obviously shunning fans
