Apparently his breakfast show was listened to by 8 MILLION people yesterday, and a Sun poll pitting him against Jonathan Woss resulted in a 98% victory for the toupee'd one.

I put it to the board that those figures are false!

Old people are notoriously forgetful - the listening figures can be halved, nay thirded, when you realise that the old folks that listen to Wogan turn the radio on upstairs when they wake up, potter downstairs, turn the radio on, then go into the kitchen for breakfast and turn a third radio on, forgetting to turn any of them off as they go.

So you see, one listener, three radios = three listeners.
