We are lovers has joined making our membership 1995. With just five more members to go until we reach the 2000 mark, I suggest we appoint an offical welcoming commitee.

I know Cat is a dab hand with the old dance routines, so can I ask her to organise some maracas and pom poms and a troupe of dancers. I was thinking something along the lines of the Maori welcoming dance but with less tongues, or at least better use of tongues.

Flip is in charge of catering and will be laying out a sumptuous buffet, she just doesn't know it yet.

Coastie has offered, unbeknown to her, free drinks at the bar so the celebrations can continue all night.

Is there anything else we should be offering our 2000th member?

If this became an official offer, then would there not be a stampede of apocolyptic proportions? - thus rendering the determining of the 2000th member a logistical nightmare. Would it be rather impossible and unfair to try and ascertain who was the 2000th when one considers the event of thousands all crossing the line at once in order to claim the membership incentive?
