Working?
Playing sports?
Washing the car?
Vegging out with the papers?
Going to church?

A combination of the above?

Just being nosy really. ;)

Sunday is my favourite day of the week!

We usually get up quite early (although that is dependent on what we have done the night before), have breakfast and coffe and lounge around reading the papers.

Then, we usually go to the gym mid morning (am off in a minute actually), and after exercising do the whole pampering thing: Sauna, steam room, jacuzzi etc. We both feel very relaxed and virtuous afterwards. We both have a few mates that go to the same gym, and if we see any of them there, we sometimes go for a coffee in the gym bar after the sauna etc.

Then we go out for Sunday lunch - its a bit of a weekly ritual. There are several really good country pubs within easy driving distance of where we live and they are the usual venue of choice. Sometimes we go on our own, other times we arrange to meet friends at the pub, and I look forward to it every week.

Sunday is also the day where, if we need to, we do joint shopping. Not supermarket stuff more householdy type things. E.g. this afternoon we are going into Croydon to get a picture framed for a fantastic Govinder painting that we recently bought.

Evening is spent doing whatever - normally watching a film whilst having a light dinner (too stuffed after lunch to have anything havey). Then, early night!

God - reading through it, I've just realised how much of a routine we have! But, I wouldn't change it for the world.

I spend Sundays listening involuntarily to some noisy thoughtless little s**t of a wood pigeon outside my bedroom window - 'cos he obviously seems to think that I find it therapeutic! And so, now the ****** refuses to let me sleep, I jump on the pc, log on to the old forum here and the moment im online, said pigeon thinks it's humorous to then fly off, as he knows that I know he has a sixth sense for knowing exactly when he's taken his amusing little task of p***ing me off to its limits. As he's flying to wherever his next port of call may be, I know that there's a contented birdie grin on his beak......the feathery little b***ard!

Like Karen and her hubby, Mr V and I got to the gym. We got there at 8am this morning and did a 2 mile road run from the gym and back before going in to do weights etc, I also did a yoga class which was lovely. Usually we'd come home, shower and have a lazy day with full Sunday roast, but we are off to a Christening this afternoon so it's a bit different. The evenings are usually spent getting things ready for school/work the next day and doing the ironing etc.

I love Sundays!
I usually get up and go to mass (if I haven't been on saturday)
Then I come home, do any work for uni that needs to be done, laze about for a bit and eg come on here!
Then me and the gf usually go this lovely little restuarant which is just 5 mins away from me and have lunch.
Then we go to the pub and there's usually a bunch of our friends in there. Have a few drinks then I go home, watch TV etc.

That's it!
Actually reading that back, I sound like an old man but I wouldn't change my Sundays :)

In a winter I chill out at home, help with the sunday dinner & the washing up.
However in a summer my partner and I go to "Thorsby Market" to look at stuff for our cars (usually stereo gear) then we come home for the dinner and then spend the afternoon fitting or playing with what we have bought. Usually finished off with a pint at the pub with some friends :)

Sunday is a family day.

We generally go to Church, followed by coffee or sherry with firends at someones house.

Then it is home, I make Sunday Lunch [mostly Roasts], I then tidy around the house, sort school uniforms, homework out. Mr F potters around outdside doing something useful and we always take the dogs somewhere for a walk.

Sunday evenings I get the Tiddles bathed and ready for bed early 6.30pm, we then have a light supper [quite often egg and tomato sandwiches] - then Tiddles to bed and we watch tv.

I love Sundays although just lately Mr.B has had 101 jobs to do around the house so i dont see him as much as i would like.

BUT normally we get up early and then chill out for an hour reading the paper. Mr.B then goes and plays with his remote control cars for a few hours doing gowd knows what with them in his shed

I tend to read a magazine, prepare the dinner, clean out the animals and dance like a loon to cheesy music. Although this morning i actually braved the elements and went out and washed the car

In the afternoon we like to spend time together. We often like 'film' afternoons and try and record a few good ones in the week. We settle down and spend hours watching them, having a few bevvies and munching on nibbles.

Then in the evening we eat dinner and normally have a bath. We then cuddle up on the sofa and watch TV or chat over a bottle of wine.

Nothing wrong with routine K, I'm a bit of a creature of habit myself.

The pampering sounds lovely, we have a gym in a hotel close to where I work but I refuse to pay their extortionate prices.

I can't remember the last time I went for a pub meal on Sunday, it's usually roast chicken courtesy of my mum and then pretty much vegging for the rest of the day. :D

What a disciplined lot you are, and I feel all self-righteous if I spend 15 minutes on my mini-trampoline.

Hope the Christening went well. :)

Would you like to borrow my cat for a few mornings?

Very reasonable rates, and if the 'hit' is unsuccessful you get a full refund. :D

LOL, you don't sound like an old man at all, it sounds lovely.

It's amazing how much of Sunday seems to revolve around food..going out for lunch, roast dinner. Not that I'm complaining. :D

That's a good point, winter and summer Sundays are so different.
I'd probably be out by a river with some friends having a picnic if the weather was warm, but I tend to be cocooned inside during winter.

Hi Bonsai

Sounds like you have a pretty full Sunday, what animals have you got?
And I like the dancing to cheesy music thing, I have some trashy (but good trash!) 80s electro pop on right now. :D

I seem to curl up with a film in the afternoon too. Can't decide what to watch out of my vast DVD collection though...

Sunday mornings are normally taken up with watching my youngest son play football. We then come home and have some lunch and then the boys go out and play more football with their friends.

I normally spend the afternoon ironing and making sure all the school uniform is ready for the next day whilst catching up with what I have video'd during the week.

The boys normally come back about 5.30pm and we have Sunday Dinner before we watch Corrie together! The boys then have a shower get their bags ready for school and have an early night.

Sometime during the afternoon or evening miss ils will phone and we catch up with each others news!

Another busy Sunday :)

I did some ironing this morning, I try and put it off until I have a nearly empty wardrobe as it's something I hate doing.

Hmm, I may have an idea for a thread here..:D

I like to read the Sunday papers. And eat toast.

Next Sunday, however, I will most probably be on a building site. Working. IT'S THE SABBATH!

My work ethic isn't great.

cheerio!

Toast is good, very good. Are you a Marmite or jam person?

Excuse me while I contemplate the idea of you getting all sweaty on a building site...

OK, I'm done. :D

I always like to have a day of idling about and doing nothing in particular on a Sunday.

Usually take the kids to sunday school, on the way home buy a paper and then once home potter around, read the paper, cook a roast and maybe do some ironing.
But it can change from week to week. In the summer we go down on the beach if the tides are right during the day when Mr A. is fishing.

Today we picked up Cockney's son, drove to Broxborne, poodled about and then went swimming at the leisure pool (wave machine etc). Then we all went for a huuuuuuge lunch, then fell asleep :cool2:

If I'm with the family it's mass in the morning then pub, then home for bacon rolls and plenty of tea. Usually a walk out and get together with as many family as possible.
If I'm at my bachelorette pad, I go swimming, then to church then home for bacon rolls and plenty of tea and do housework with music on loud and sort out my internet banking and stuff. Washing and drying and re-organise the ironing basket, it never gets done but I make sure the important things are near the top.
Sunday goes too quickly. I wish I could wake up and start again.
