I don't like to insult people based on their looks, but(!) Sasha reminds me of a giraffe, it's becasue she is so tall and she seems to lean over.
I'm sure the actress in real life doesn't do this (just in case you're reading)

Well I won't miss them - never really took to either of them. I can't see Phil and Grant fitting in anywhere now either. That show is a shambles at the moment isn't it. Is anyone really interested in any of the storylines at the moment?

The Millers - boring
Chrissy/zoe/Sam - boring
Fererras - boring
Ian and Jane - boring
Stacey - boring
............ no I am going to stop there because they're ALL boring!

What on earth was all that about last night with Billy and Sasha? What was the point of the "quick sh*g with Weasel Mitchell before I leave" storyline? It was hardly worth doing !

Personally I cant wait for the awful Ferreira's to leave. Adi with his "kick me, now" puppy dog look, Ash who does nothing, Ronnie who seems to have been sucked into the bermuda triangle, the hideous wet lipped weasel that is Tariq, Kareena with her great big face, rubbish acting and a sudden cocaine habit  - pity Sasha went really, she was the only one in that group that had a bit of get up and go about her. Im sure they could have gone places with her character.
If only they'd take Nana Moon and Stacey Slater with them. Stacey is STILL doing her Artful dodger-cor blimey-ave a banaaaaannaaaa put on accent. Badly. All she ever says is "Oh Unca Charleyyy, it wern my fawwwwlt"
There again, all Little Mo ever says is Alllfayyyyyyyyy or Billayyyyyyyyy or Freddayyyyyyyyyyyy.

There was a time when I never used to miss EE, now I can go a week without seeing it.

With Sonia suddenly deciding she would like Chloe to come and live with her and Martin, without a seconds thought for his feelings and all the angst ridden, hand wringing its going to bring, I doubt Ill be tuning in anytime soon either.
Incidentally, whatever possessed Sonia to have a boob job? She now looks about 18 stone. With 10 stone of that being her chest. There was nothing wrong with how she looked before !

Little bit of a spoiler coming up ....

Johnnys young daughter (Ruby) has run away from boarding school and was startled when she saw that her dad had called his new club "Scarlet".

It seems that Johnny's wife and daughter, Scarlet, were killed in a housefire, possibly started by rivals in a gangland feud, which is why Johnny has had to come back to Walford.
Ruby doesnt know about Johnnys mistress/girlfriend.

They mustve liked the colour red, eh, with all this Ruby and Scarlet business. I wonder if Johnnys late wife was called Rose?

I have a small questions regarding Eastenders. Whose house is Johnny living in ? I assumed it was Pats - but if it is, why has he now got it ? (i missed a few episodes last week).

Also, when are the Ferreiras going ? Will Johnny go balistic about the cars and kill them off ? And as for Sasha sleeping with Billy ..... AS IF :wink2:

Isnt Johnny in Dirty Dens old house - they all moved into the Vic didnt they?

Glad to see the beginning of the end of the Ferrairas - about bluddy time!!!

So is Sam going to move into the Vic and become Chrissies business partner? ........................

SPOILER below (most of you probably know this already).................

I read at the weekend that Kim Metcalf is leaving, and that she will only have a few months working with Babs and Steve McFadden when they return.......I can see her getting a record deal to be honest - she is a far better singer than she is actress :p

Johnny is DEFFO living in Dirty Dens old house, and when the Ferreiras have to hand over their business over to him in exchange for "losing" the cars (which Ive no doubt he has arranged to have nicked), he will move his mistress into their flat.

It does look like Sam will go into partnership with Chrissie. Thank God, I cant stand their stupid stand off anymore.

I reckon when Sam leaves EE, she will go into musicals, although it wont pay as much. Expect to see her back then within the year

Only in EastEnders can a whole family just disappear and move away without any money and without worrying about where they're gonna go....

So who bought Dirty Den's old house then? Cos the Watts' just upped and left overnight didn't they? We never heard anything about a sale, and of course with Den missing, no such sale could go through could it?

And is it just me, but is the bird who plays Johnny's bit not that good looking? I can't understand what all the fuss is about!

And what are Walford Police doing exactly? Let us have a look at their recent track record:

Barry gets murdered. The Police can't prove it.
Laura has an accident. The Police arrest Janine for murder, who must still be languishing in custody somewhere, as she doesn't seem to have been tried for the crime.
Melanie skips bail and runs away. The Police don't even bother to look for her.
Phil escapes from prison after Minty pretends to be him. The Police do nothing to Minty, and make only very casual enquiries about Phil.
Den is the mastermind behind the bank heist. The Police do not discover this.
Grunt and Phil nick a load of drugs money and Grunt flees the country. Despite crashing his car in to the Thames, the Police never even realise anything is wrong.
Dirty Den gets murdered. The Police haven't even discovered it yet.
Andy Hunter is killed. After making a few rudimentary enquiries, the Police leave the matter alone.
Paul Trueman is murdered. The Police ask some vague questions of Andy Hunter and then forget all about the matter.
Spencer Moon climbs through a window. The Police are immediately on the scene and he spends a night in the cells.

Well, I don't know about you but I think they really ought to hold an enquiry here - it seems to me the Walford CID are thoroughly inept!!

Yeah sorry Dol but we have known for about two weeks that Keith Miller is illiterate. He had a big scene with Rosie where he explained how many times he used to say to the kids that he had lost his specs so he couldnt read their report cards etc.
The lady at the job centre seemed to realise he couldnt read or write; its gone quiet on that front at the moment, but Im sure we will have Keith attending literacy and numeracy classes soon.

Bye bye Ferreiras you definitely won't be missed and did Kareena leave all her clothes behind when she made her sudden decision to go with them I thought for one horrible moment she was staying. As to the Walford CID we are always being told how overworked the police are as they don't sem to be able to solve simple car crimes and burglaries I'm not surprised the rest is beyond their capabilities.

Oh dont Tiggs.......I can see me turning EE off again as well as Corrie :sleepy:

Mind you, its amazing what little gems you find hidden in the TV schedule which you would normally miss cos of the soapland dross we persecute ourselves with!!!!!

As for Karinna leaving without her clothes and makeup, it AINT gonna happen is it......

Scriptwriters you really must have the GBP down as a bunch of brain dead muppets - and sometimes I think I am, because I sit and watch this drivel........

I like soaps to have humour in them...... Terry and Irene were my favourite characters in EE and Roberta whatsit is acting her socks off in The Bill now....

and we have the delights of Phil Mitchell back in the Square - BORING!!!!!!! with his big red "im heart attack material" head on him! grunting and growling at everything in sight......

I just hope the scriptwriters dont insult our intelligence further by having him up against Johnny Allen and Phil winning, cos that just wouldnt happen in RL - Johnny Allen is, as last, a proper East End Gangster - like they were in the old days.....he would have Phil Mitchell propping up a bridge on the M25 just like that if he crossed him  now surely THATS the way forward

And as for Grant, I read an interview Ross Kemp did a week or so ago, and he has no plans to go back so far, he is doing another series of Ultimate Force (which he is great in!!!) and has a couple of other projects lined up, although if they have to bring back one of them I would prefer Grant to Phil

What's with the Mitchell's return? Apparently both Grant and Phil are set to return. The guy that plays Johnny Allen is superb. He makes Andy Hunters rubbish gangster look, well rubbish lol ..... Johnny Allen is all smooth, charming and polite - but is a right evil git, and its played to perfection by Billy Murray.

Ive read that Grunt was due to come back - the beeb offered him mega bucks - £500,000 for a years contract (and hard graft) and so ITV upped the ante by offering him the same money to make a 8 episodes of Ultimate Force, which means half the work for the same money - you can guess which offer he took  .
Phil the beetroot headed hard man is apparently only in two episodes before the Police "pounce".... which means he will be swanning around in broad daylight until someone (Ian  I bet), grasses him up.

There has been such a kerfuffle from the fans of EE though, they have now softened the blow a little and said that "the door will be left open" .......

Anyone noticed the scripts have suddenly improved a little? Small touches of comedy appearing? Stacey Slater actually being forced to act a bit? Its improving folks. Danny Moon said tonight, "Who? that Stacey, the Bride of Chucky?" .... we have also had one or two "bleedin's" creeping into Alfie's dialogue, which makes it more realistic. I mean, nearly everyone says bloody dont they, except in Albert Square lol. Even Stacey took it to new levels the other day when she said, "Oh, go and poke yerself....." and "Id rather wet meself than use your karzeeeh" ...... Okay, its not shakespeare, but there IS a touch more realism in the soap these days.

But, can someone tell me why Keith hasnt got a job yet? You dont need to be able to read or write to be a labourer, or a street cleaner. I presume he can count and recognise money? So why doesnt he help out at a market stall?:bored:

And why didn't he give out the leaflets. He didn't need to be able to read them to do that.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I actually do like Stacy and I am really enjoying that storyline.

Oh I dunno. If I had a Keith Miller living near me, lying about in bed while I was getting up in the cold and dark to go to work first thing in a morning, Id find a way to dob him in !! And balls to people like Big Mo, shouting, "oi, grrrrrrahhhhhhssssssssssss", Id give her a poke on the snout lol.....

Staceys acting has improved but I think its the scripts that are better, therefore Im liking her more.

Can anyone tell me, is Jonny Allan renting Dens old house? If not - when did he buy it? Where were the estate agents, solicitors, signing of contracts and six week waits that us mere mortals have to go through???

And wow at sonias acting tonight - she really did give you the impression that she was teetering on the edge when she thought Martin wasnt going to go along with her plan to see Chloe for one last time. She is superb. I just wish the wardrobe people at EE would take pity on her and give her some flattering clothes to wear...

Dolores

I quite like Stacey too ... it's just that sometimes she reminds me of a recycled Janine. I think they could make her a more rounded character by having a nicer side or at least one that's got some friends! I worry that they are going to use the character to depict teenage suicide, which would be a shame as Stacey could potentially become a much better character

However in the case of Katie on Corrie I condone teenage suicide ....anything to get her off our screens!

Im enjoying Eastenders again, now that the boring Chrissie / Sam / Zoe storyline is over. That was really tiresome, and the acting appalling (apart from Chrissie who was ok).

Im not a fan of Stacey, but she might grow on me if she continues to show her sensitive side occasionally. I think it helps that the character is becoming a little more two dimensional, and isnt just evil 100% of the time.

The Martin and Sonia storyline bores the pants off me im afraid. I really couldnt give a knats fart if she reunites with Chloe / Rebecca or whatever she is called.

Im just waiting with baited breath for Kat is return, and see Little Mo muscling in on her Alfie. She is filming now, so she should be on our screens fairly soon. I love Kat, and think she is a brilliant character. Its a good job she came back to the square and didnt quit to be a full time mum. Eastenders needs fruity colourful characters like her. And Alfie needs her too - they make a good pair.

As for the Brothers Grimm, im really suprised they have been given the chop already. I really took to them.

I missed last night due to having a life sometimes, could someone fill me in please? Well I havent really noticed the boobs being a funny shape. I did notice that shes banged on a load of weight while shes been gone from the soap though, all on her hips too, so its a good job shes got those bosoms to even her out a bit.

The Chloe/Rebecca storyline is yawnsome, I agree. Its been done before and no doubt when all this kerfuffle is over and done with, the storyline will crop up again in about three years in the vain hope we've forgotten we have seen it all before.
Im still annoyed that Rosie hasnt sussed that the useless Keith doesnt need to know how to read or write to be a labourer or be a Pot Man at The Queen Vic. Im sure he could do something to earn a bit of spare cash ....

As for Little Mo becoming the village idiot as soon as she gets into a three yard range of Alfie - grrrrrrrrrrrrr! She is so aggravating. And has she forgotten that he is married to her sister (estranged or not). For Gods sake.

I have to go against the grain here because I can't stand the Moonies and I like the Sonia/Martin/Chloe storyline except that they are doing it to death as usual. It's Martin's "angst" that is getting on my nerves most. For a bloke with a reasonably nice face he can look really scary at times. Are they going to get the kiddy back? I would guess that grandma is going to get suddenly too ill to look after her.

Little Mo and Alfie - yuk

Stacey - still boring

Bonus - Nigel Harman is coming back in June - hoooray. Don't care about his storylines - he is just eye candy :)

I know it would be out of character but if they could just clean him up a wee bit I might find him quite watchable. Maybe when he has learned to read (as he is surely going to do) he will have a bit more self-esteem and smarten up a bit - I look forward to it ;)

If we have ONE more limp, uncalled for, totally stupid storyline involving Nana bloody Moon, I will scream ! The actress herself must be gagging for some decent lines which require her to do more than whine "awwww Alfffffayyyyyyyyyyy" while batting her eyelids.

They really need to weed some of the chaff out of EE, starting with Nana, Gary, Big Mo, Charlie Slater, Sam Mitchell and Gus (what the hell does he do? he is worse than Nana for zero storylines!)

Phil comes back next week. He's on the run. The police are seaching for him everywhere. He rings his old house and gets Pat's answer machine  then rings the Vic, expecting to hear Sam, and gets Chrissie's answer machine  and he's lurching around avoiding the federales and desperate for money. So he breaks into Ian's house and beats him up. Well, sounds fair enough to me. Anyway, he's only in for two episodes but they're alleged to be rivetting. He's caught and banged up again, but will come back properly in the summer.

And breathe...

Your joking think she is stunning! Isn't she suppsoed to be 40? I hope I have that figure when I'm 40 (I've never looked like that -so not likely!)
Agree though, the story line is pants.
Why all the sneaking around, Jonny is kidding himself if he thinks he's protecting Ruby, he can't wait to get rid of her most of the time and doesn't seem interested in a word she says. I'm sure she'd accept his bit on the side if only he'd give the poor lass a hug every so often.

It's old Ma Harris that is getting on my boobs, FFS, get rid of her, it's not funny to see her sexually harrassing poor old mintie, it's vomit inducing. Did you see her sliding her feet between his legs. Oh puke puke puke

No, Den and Marcus the dodgy solicitor stitched Samantha Mitchell up between them - conning her out of the Queen Vic and a load of money.

Long before all that, after Phil escaped from custody, he turned up at Angie's Den, on the run, his arm in a filthy sling, gunning (literally) for Den Watts. Den gave Phil £200,000 that he had nicked from the warehouse raid (remember Den ran off with a holdall full of money after leaving Phil trapped). Phil took the money and slung his hook, however he is now back and is skint for some reason.

According to Steve McFadden who plays Phil Mitchell, he returns to the soap for good in the Autumn ! So somewhere along the line, Phil gets off with the warehouse armed robbery, escaping from custody and being on the run, demanding money with menaces and assaulting a number of coppers ! The mind boggles !

Beale the Squeal's face will be a picture though when he realises his squealing has come to nought ... lol.

Phil made me laugh tonight when he was in his old house and switched on THE most tasteless lamp, paused, looked at it and said, "Never let Pat Butchaahh into yer 'owse....."

Incidentally - I hope the gutter press are going to make much of the fact that the bearded beetroot has put on about three stone and could barely run. After all, they practically crucified Jesse Wallace for doing the same. :mad2: Dont hold yer breath though....

Honestly, tonight's episode just beggered belief. Billy, having just seen the cops going door to door goes bursting into Pat's waving a fist full of money.

yes it is Critique - pushing someone off a flyover is a very old fashioned and gentlemanly thing to do, as is giving some one a concrete overcoat and chucking them in the Thames.

However it is very modern and rude to just stab or shoot your enemies - there's no romance or charm in that is there?!

Apparently Alfie is definately leaving the show now, and (although this might change) the rumour is that he will get little Mo pregnant !!! What a bore, hasnt this been done before ?

Just to give my tuppence worth on Alfie - i think when he joined the soap he was desperate for the money, but it gave him a huge fan base again and he won 'Most Fanciable Male' etc at the soap awards. It kinda all went to his head a bit. He then ploughed fortunes of his own money into a dodgy film he starred in which crashed and burned. Probably now though he is believing his own hype and recons that he can leave the show and gets tonnes of work - but the reality is often the exact opposite. Why dont these soap actors learn ?

Or i could be talking out of my ar*e and he might be fed up with the way his character has changed from a cheeky chappie to a right misog.

El Dorado was great wasnt it? MARCOOSSSSSSSSSS. I was really sorry when they took it off and didnt really give it a chance.

I used to love El Dorado, and then when my parents bought the place in Spain, we discovered the nearest resort apparently is the one where El Dorado was filmed and its GORGE!!!!

Can someone tell me when old quivver lips has gone again and I may tune in........I know I have said it before, but sexy Dennis wouldnt look TWICE at Miss Piggy!!!! Very true. The same with Jamie and Sonia.... (where IS Sonia by the way?).

Sadly the utterly and totally CRAP storyline re the rapidly becoming charmless Alfie Moon, gormless twittering Little Mo and Kat has made me decide I no longer want to watch this show.

The scriptwriters have run out of ideas. It is on too many times a week. The actors (you can tell) dont have their hearts in it anymore and with the return of the godawful actress that is Barbara Windsor next month - I am turning off.

Hurrah - someone else who doesnt like Barbara Windsor and her character Peggy. I have read various forums, and people seem to treat her like a demi god, and believe she will bring the show back. But she wont - she is rubbish. All she does is shout in a dodgy accent and walk in that odd kinda way on her high heels.

Also the Demi storyline was a bit weak. BUT im looking forward to Den being dug up and seeing Chrissie getting carted off to the nick. I hope she gets away with it though as she is a great character. Unfortunately i have heard she is leaving the show, so i think she will be getting '5-10 in the pen'.

That thing with Ian's specimen was gross. I thought they were going in for a close-up when he was walking in the hospital

I agree that it should get more interesting with the Chrissie/Den storyline. Shame is she is leaving, she's one of the characters I've liked most. She's a good actress but lately seems to have really bad scripts that only give her the chance to sigh, raise her eyebrows or look evil. She's worth more than that.

I wonder why the Martin/Sonia/Chloe storyline fizzled out. I thought they were going to get her back.

I missed the last 10 days, Bobski, but I know that Leo died from a drugs overdose, thinking Demi had done the same, a la Romeo & Juliet (yawn). Rosie was letting his Mum see Aleesha, but you sense that might be a no-no. Sharon uncovered nothing in Spain and that's all I know.

The Police questioned Chrissie who told them Sam Mitchell was the last to see Den.
Sam was brought in for questioning and blurted out that she saw Den get into a black cab (which, of course, the Police could easily track down, except it wasnt true, and they know that now). The Police dont believe Sam, and although they released her, they basically said they had their eye on her.

She is rapidly losing the plot and drinking too much. Ian sacked her for being incompetent and rude in the chippie. Everytime she hears a siren she jumps guiltily.

Kat and Chrissie are both happy for Sam to take the rap. Kat because she wants Zoes name kept out of it, and Chrissie because she has an escape route to Argentina planned, just as soon as Sharon and Dennis's wedding is over.

Dont miss Sharon and Dennis's wedding day - there's an uninvited guest makes an appearance in The Vic - and he doesnt smell too good......

Personally I would have like the univited guest to turn up at christmas dinner- that would hve been a corker, but I suppose next week will have to do.
I wonder when Peggy phones her daughter {from Brazil?] that she isn't surprised to hear Pats voice on the other end of the phone? Or Chrisse's if she calls the pub.
Why dosn't Sam just run off to Brazil, its not as if she has a job, home or family to keep her in Walford

Yes Bob, bit a big plot hole there isnt there? Has Sam suddenly lost all communication with the family that is notorious for avoiding trouble with the Police? One phone call to Peggy or Grant and theyd send her a one way ticket to Brazil wouldnt they? But no, instead we have Sam working at a chippy, being sacked, losing the plot and acting like she hasnt a soul in the world she can count on to get her out of her mess.

Honestly, its a load of rubbish. I now watch this about once a month, and its so easy to catch up.

I still cant believe we have the prattish Alfie trying to make his mind up over the horrifyingly simpering Mo and the frankly scary Kat... talk about dragging a bluddy plot on for too long ! I dont care about the Millers because I hate them all..... Sharon is now officially terracotta in colour and her and Dennis's acting is so appalling and their dialogue so awful - you can almost see them getting their running shoes on to leave.

Id be surprised if this programme is still on this time next year, and if it is - I reckon it will be down to two days a week rather than every half an hour - like it seems to be at the moment.

Well talk about stretching the imagination a bit far (I know, I know, I'm always telling Mr. C off for nit picking on technicalities - "it's only a soap" I snap at him) but the drunken Sam digging up the concrete with a pick axe? I don't think so!

When Chrissie chucked Den in the hole I'm sure it was a very deep hole because didn't she put a layer of something on top of him before the contractors came in and filled it with cement properly?

I really didn't expect her to uncover him that easily - I thought the police would investigate and they would dig him up! Oh well, it's only a soap.

And yeah, where is all Sam's family? And do you think her top lip looks a bit like Donald Duck these days (wonder if she's had collagen or Botox?)

Poor old tango-ed Sharon has put on so much weight - she looked quite matronly. I still think Dennis is a bit of alright but even he didn't look that good - perhaps I prefer him in the rough :)

There's a murder enquiry going on - correct?

Stacey has provided an alibi for both Chrissie and Zoe for the night of the murder. However, the Police know that Zoe was at the Vic on the night of the huge fight that Den and Chrissie had.

And yet..... the Police havent even bothered asking where Zoe is (a) staying (b) if she is contactable (c) asked her family to contact her to get her to ring the station or (d) checked the families phone records to get a number for Zoe - should she phone the house.

During a murder enquiry - no matter WHO has been charged with the murder, they question everyone involved on that night. Zoe would be tracked down and either interviewed in Ibiza by the Police or told to report to the Station at Walford.
But... Zoe is being kept out of it all???? Have I missed something here? Admittedly I dont watch this all the time, as Alfie and Mo make me puke, but for gods sake, give the viewer SOME credit !

Pat was sent down for knocking over a child, Janine is due to be sentenced in December (she's going daaaaaaahhhhn), Sam is in prison for Dens murder etc....... and yet we have Johnny Allan swanning about after having murdered Andy, Frank Butcher had a hand in the deliberate fire at the car lot years ago and got away with it, Phil is due to be swanning around after setting fire to the car lot years ago and killing a tramp, committing armed robbery and escaping custody - and possibly murdering Johnny Allen in the near future it seems !!!!!

EastEnder hit by brain infection

Joe Swash's character Mickey (far left) arrived in the Square in 2003
EastEnders actor Joe Swash, who plays Mickey Miller, has returned home from hospital after being diagnosed with brain infection meningoencephalitis.
The soap actor was taken ill last week and was taken to a London hospital.

A statement released by his agent said he had a "mild" form of the virus and was "on his way back to a complete recovery with no lasting effects".

Swash, who has featured heavily in recent storylines, is expected back to work at the soap in time for Christmas.

Encephalitis is an inflammation of the brain tissue and is extremely rare, affecting four in every 100,000 people in the UK each year.

When the virus also attacks the linings of the brain (meninges) it is called meningoencephalitis.

The condition begins with flu-like symptoms and in some cases can be life-threatening.

The statement said: "Joe Swash returned home over the weekend following a brief spell in hospital.

"Joe wants to thank everyone for their support during the last few days. He has asked that he be given some time and privacy to relax and recover before he gets back to work."

The 23-year-old actor requires further rest, the statement added

Can Sonia go too please - and that odd friend of hers, who seems to have no friends other than Sonia ?

I personally think there should be a deep fat fryer accident for Ian Beale, which would be rather fitting. Maybe Sonia could try and save him, and get fried too ?

Ooh yes Sonia. I cringe when she calls Marting Fouler, "babe", her new breasts also seem to be permanently overflowing out of her tops now too...

Can someone please get rid of Peggy Mitchell. She has only been back 5 minutes, and she is irritating the life out of me.

Also - why is she suddenly the 'all knowing eye' when it comes to Johnny Allen. Im sure when she was first introduced to the square she was living in a flat, totally broke and wearing dodgy clothes. So how comes now we find out that she has always known Johnny Allen and acts like she is a member of the mafia ?

I have never been able to stand Peggy Mitchell, she is one evil over-rated tart who thinks she is way above everyone else. In the real world she'd be under concrete by now, but then, no one in the real world could be like that - such a fake personna.

You been on the voddie Bonsai??

Peggy wasnt in Eastenders when Johnny Allen was first introduced to the Square.

It was Pat Butchaaaaaaaah who was living in a squalid flat, wearing dodgy clothes (as she still is). Pat knows Johnny really well. She used to be one of Johnny's prostitutes then was "promoted" to Madam.

Peggy Mitchell's husband Eric used to be a boxer who Johnny Allen managed when he was young, but Peggy has only just realised that Johnny is living in Walford again.

Saying all that, like you, I really wish someone would put one on Peggy and pull her down a peg or three. Unfortunately this isnt going to happen as Gwarrrrrnt and Phowl are coming back soon, so Peggy will be worse than ever, strutting about saying, "Ve Mitchoooools are back !!!!!!"

Can hardly wait. :sleepy:

I know, i know .... but when the character of Peggy was introduced to us years ago, she was living in a flat (or a small house) with a weird wig on. She looked dowdy and broke.

I cant remember why, but the boys (Grant and Phil) either asked her to move to the square, or she was kicked out of her house - i cant remember which but she was living on a dodgy council estate.

After a while the wig was changed to something more stylish (well, if you're over 65) and the new Peggy emerged.

Blimey you are going back a bit. Yes, I remember Peggy coming into it. Phil had been beaten up badly by Gwarrrnt for porking Sharon (pun intended) and Peggy appeared at his hospital bedside looking rather worse for wear... and as you say, living in a dingy flat. I think she is the "all knowing eye" about Johnny Allan though, from when they were young and after Ewwic her husband died, Johnny had no further contact.

Funny how some EE characters suddenly change from being dowdy down and outs with nowt to their name and become millionaires with thousands seemingly at their disposal, although they still live in a dingy EE square isnt it?
As you say Bonnie, Peggy went from having nowt to suddenly being able to afford designer clothes, buy a part share in the Vic and have a son who seemed to have an endless pot of money enabling him buy the other part share of The Vic, the snooker hall, the arches, the car lot, the caff etc.....

Gwarnnnnt disappeared off to South America with his daughter, with nothing but his passport and suddenly Peggy reckons he can get the money to buy the Vic from Chrissie in "weeks".... errrr we are talking at least half a million or more here, at todays London prices !!!

Ian Beale seems to have two hundred thousand quid at his disposal to "not" lend Peggy..... Only two years ago, he didnt have a pot to pee in !!!!!!!

Any money that beetroot faced Phil had from Den to sling his hook (it was a lot, I remember that), he spent as he came back to the square on the rampage, demanding money with menaces from Ian - he flushed his head down the loo didnt he? So the money Gwarrrnt is coming up with, CANT be that.
Its just so unrealistic.

Yes, but the original Peggy is not the one we have now, that was originally played by another actress, who's name I can't quite remember. That was the dowdy one, then when this 'madam' took over PM suddenly became all glam

I do remember the original Peggy (who barely featured) but when Barbara Windsor first turned up to play the part for good, she too was DEFINITELY a down at heel, old fashioned, middle aged frumpy type who was down on her luck. Within a few months, she had a new wig, new wardrobe, completely new personality and pots of money and now she looks like summat out of Dynasty !
