We seem to have lost all our other TV threads during the move, which is a shame, so Im starting a new one up on here.

Little Mo is back, and seems to have lost her Frank Spencer impression, thank god. And Ol' David Radford/Graham the rapist must be quids in at the moment, with all this work he's getting !

Not seen Eastenders properly for ages, and being a Londoner I never felt that I would say this but........it is bloomin' pants!!

Still, if little Mo shakes off her passive demeanour, that can only be a good thing - and a return to some decent acting would certainly be welcome.
I may even start tuning into the Sunday omnibus again!

I love eastenders, but im fed up with Kat. Why oh why was she trying hard to save her marriage a few weeks ago, and then she turns up again an alcoholic ??? I would of thought it takes longer than 21 days to become that addicted

Its good to see Little Mo back in the show. I wish they hadnt brought in the new Slater girl though. She could give Demi a run for her money. They are both irritating.

The new Slater girl cant act her way out of a paper bag. She made Gary Hobbs, on Tuesday night, look like Laurence Olivier .....

Has anyone read anything about the guy who plays Spencer Moon allegedly trying to kill himself ?

My niece mentioned it last night while we were watching Eastenders - which I had to switch over in the end because it had the appalling acting of Spencer, the new Slater girl AND Micky and Jules on it ! Argggh ...........

Yes, I heard about that - the Sun have run a story saying that due to speculation over his sexuality he booked himself into a hotel, took an overdose of paracetemol and slit his wrists.

Is it me or is Sharon's hair getting more like My Little Pony every day?? Tonight it was just RIDICULOUS. All you can see of her now is the hair and the infamous Black Jacket (which features so often it was recently nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the recent soap awards).

Little Mo seems to have forgotten to talk in her usual squeaky voice and has gone all posh, Alfie has forgotten Kat ever existed, no one seems to have Kat's phone number so they can call her and ask when she's coming home, Ian and Jane have both been abducted by aliens, Chrissie seems to have forgotten all about her job at the nail salon, Sam is on the world's longest ever honeymoon, and no one has bothered to ask what happened to Sarah the Stalker after her arrest. Janine still hasn't been tried for the murder of Laura but is still locked up, no one ever wonders what happened to Lynne, and Pat has completely disappeared.

Oh well, just another day in the life of EastEnders.

I agree with you about sharons hair. It was very Farrah, and so blonde it was almost white. I think long hair suits her, but it looks very wig like.

I really like Chrissie as a character. I think she has been good for the show. I thought last night scene with them modelling the clothes was funny (which makes a change for Eastenders !!).

I cant stand the new Slater girl though - we have enough rough 'out for what they can get' characters in the square (the family that contains Demi, but i cant remember their surname either). Why did they feel the need to bring in another horrid scheming person ?

Im glad that Little Mo is back though. I love seeing her and Billy together. I just hope they remain happy as we need one good loving relationship in the show. And isnt the baby just adorable (unlike Traceys cabbage patch doll in Corrie).

So - Martin and Sonia are off to pastures new for a while, so i doubt we will see them for a few months.

And whats happened to Patrick and Yolande (sp). Have they gone on holiday in the show, and ive just forgotten ? They arent seen anywhere, and they were always regulars in the pub.

I think Patrick and Yolande must have been abducted by the same aliens that have taken Fat Pat, Jane and Ian Beale.

Just a few questions and one or two comments about the posts above:-

Why did Sonia have a two week in Bermuda tan last night, despite them not even getting to Florida yet? Its not even been explained away by her using fake tan or anything !

I agree there does seem to be a bit of a bermuda triangle in EE at the moment. Pat, for all her loud clothing, seems to have been missing from the square for weeks and weeks, with one token appearance (and one line) with Kat not long ago.

Why has no-one mentioned Sarah the Stalker since she stabbed Martin and why havent we seen the Police taking statements (or it at least being mentioned).

Why did Kat leave with the tiniest suitcase imaginable and non of her family seem bothered?

What is happening about Patrick and Yolande fostering that little boy, we last saw sobbing into his pillow at the childrens home?

What is the point of Jule and Micky? The bling bling stall storyline should be chucked out.

Who is looking after Martins stall while he is in hospital? We havent seen Derek, Pauline is always wringing her hands in the launderette and Sonia is about to become a Consultant at the hospital. (Ok the last one is a fib lol)

And if they HAVE to bring yet another scheming little minx into the square, could they at least ensure she can act? Stacey Slater is almost as appalling an actress as Demi Miller. At least the last minx, Janine, could act everyone off the screen.

Why does Nana Moon shut her eyes every time she speaks her lines (and I thought she had had a fall, which meant Alfie had to shoot back from Court to sort it), she was trotting around perfectly well the other day.

I agree with Ceri, Little Mo seems to have lost the Frank Spencer voice, but its good to see her back, shes a quality actress, as is Chrissie, who is very enjoyable to watch, unlike Sharon who is SO affected these days its ridiculous. All that pouting, eyebrows waggling, ludicrous hair arranged on the ever present black jacket that must be glued onto her back.

Bonnie, I agree that Sharon has good hair, in that for the amount of bleach used on it, its in excellent condition. Unfortunately Sharon is nearly forty years old and her hairstyle dates her dreadfully. She needs about six inches lopped off it, to bring it to shoulder level with a few layers put in. This alone would stop her looking like she has shoulders like an American Football Player.

Well, Sharon does look like an afghan hound at the moment ..... This Spencer Moon/Chris Park trying to commit suicide is all very odd isnt it? The Sun apparently reported it, but Ive seen nothing else about it, not on teletext or anything.
Apparently it all seems to have stemmed from a Sunday Mirror(?) report that the girl who kiss and told about Spence being a bit of a stud has now said that he allegedly paid her to say those things, to stop gay rumours  All very weird if you ask me. I couldnt care less (and Im sure most people will agree) whether he is gay or straight - he simply needs to sort out his acting !

Either way, if the report is true and he felt so down, he wanted to die, then I feel sorry for him and wish him well

I reckon the mysterious papers are the deeds for the Queen Vic, that somehow Den has managed to buy (maybe in partnership with someone) so that thicko Sam Mitchell doesnt hand it all over to Andy Hunter.

Anyone else think that Chrissie is like a breath of fresh air? I think she is a terrific actress.

Den was actually TRYING last night too ! Instead of sleepwalking through his scripts, muttering his lines and looking bored or smug - he actually remembered he had to play a part !

I think Chrissie is an appalling hairdresser. Both Karina and Dot went in last week, and came out looking exactly the same!! I mean for goodness sake, can't the producers even extend the budget to accommodate for a professional blow dry??!

And why is Charlie putting up with Stacey? It defies belief. You'd just tell her to hop it wouldn't you?

Oh well, I shall hold my breath for this year's festive offering of Paul being machine gunned to death by a gangland hit squad. Hurrah!!

Karina's "hairdo" that was so roundly admired by a horrifically chirpy Alfie Moon was just ridiculous. As you say Ceri, they could at least have tried to make her look different to fit in with the storyline.
And whats happened to the Nail Bar/Hairdressers? One minute they are doing EACH OTHERS nails because they are so slack, the next its packed to the gunnels with punters and Kate mentions that they have a "downstairs" bit too! News to me.

Stacey Slater, borrowing clothes, nicking everything she can lay her hands on and then telling Charlie he was a crap father, is ludicrous. I loved it when Zoe gave her a right smack in the chops though.

I havent warmed to ANY of the Millers, apart from the comic genius that is Keith Miller. He plays the part to perfection and its very very well written. Micky and Demi's acting is dreadful, the boy twin is a good actor but is given nothing to do apart from bunk off, Mrs Miller's shrill screech goes through me and Genghis the dog looks a minging fleabag.

Finally, I still cannot beeeeelieeeeeeeeeve that they are going to kill Paul Trueman off. He is a superb actor.

Bonsai

I cant stand the Miller family either. I have tried, tried and tried again to let them settle in, and get established - but i dont like them, and i dont think i ever will.

I wish they would bog off and drag Stacey with them.

I do like the storyline with Chrissie and Vicki's boyfriend. We have all seen in the press that Chrissie sets him up, and i cant wait to see him with his trousers around his ankles as i find him strangely sexy :ninja:

Can someone explain to me how Sharon has suddenly turned into the psycho hose beast from Hell? Apparently she wins Dennis back - but why would he be interested in a woman that acts like a stalker? Where has Den disappeared to? And did anybody else feel like they were gonna chuck up when Sharon was trying to be sexy the other night and seduce Mini Den with the power of her insanity??

Why does no one mention Kat or Lynne? How comes Pat accepted a date with Charlie, when the last time they went out she told him he had the wrong idea and they stopped seeing each other?

How come Zoe and Dennis managed to furnish a flat they didn't know they were moving into until the day before? And how many landlords let out property when they haven't even had a chance to get references?

What is all this rubbish about the football team? Are we really supposed to care what they do? And where have all the Truemans gone?

Lastly, why has no one reported Sam and Andy missing? Surely no one has a honeymoon THAT long?!

Pandora
29-11-2004, 10:06 PM
Watching Sharon do her "sexy, come hither look" makes me grimace and squirm with embarrassment, its so awful. She has suddenly turned into the bunny boiler from hell hasnt she? Most attractive trait.

Watching Mini Den and Zoe eyeing up the flat and getting all excited just made me hold my head in my hands. They found it, managed to get hold of the landlord, paid a deposit, moved in without references and managed to furnish it with furnishings from god knows where - all in 24 hrs ! This surely has to be a record for EE? It even beats the 48hr signing of contracts for the caff between Ian Beale and Sam Mitchell!

And why on earth dont the wardrobe people realise that someone with as much money and "style" as Sharon is supposed to have, would NOT wear the same black jacket in not only every single scene she is in - but for the last twelve months !!!!!
Make her wear something else !!!!!:mad1:

The Sharon / Dennis and Zoe storyline is really annoying me now. And Zoe's voice is getting more high pitched by the episode. She is severely peeing me off now. I know she is worried (and rightly so) but shouting at Dennis every 2 seconds isnt the best thing to do when youre trying not to make him scurry into another womans arms.

Give your vocal cords a rest Zoe, you're boring me :glare:

Apparently zoe gets pregnant and sharon goes off coz she cant bare the fact zoe is having denises baby and she cant have them.

Den gets the pub! dont know how thats gonna happen but this is apparently all over xmas and the new year!

Apparently Zoe is leaving soon. She has told her bosses (and i quote) that she is too beautiful to be on Eastenders, and that she has been offered loads of TV and modelling work."

So she is off at the end of her contract.

I have to admit i like the Sharon and Dennis affair being back on, and im glad Sharon and toned down her pouting / sex goddess act as it wasnt working.

I just wish Zoe would bog off NOW, and take that bratty girl who lives with them too. I really really hate the character. Is her name Stacey ???

I am starting to like Demi, but i think she will blow soon. She wants to look after her own child, but isnt being allowed too. Something will happen their soon.

I've noticed the similarity between Stacy and Janine, and I'm sure it's not accidental. There's another lookalike in the square - that kid who has just had a baby is very like an early version of Biankka, sad eyes and freckles and all.

They've been repeating the same story lines with different characters for years, and now they're looking for familiar seeming faces to put in them, too. It's laziness. Money for writing about old rope.

Does anyone notice the physical resemblance between Stacey and Janeen, also the behaviour, they are obviously trying to make a clone of Janine - not very inventive¬ As for Sharon looking like Miss Piggy, I remember seeing her in Oxford Street 10 or 12 years ago at the beginning of the series and how pretty she was with beautiful skin. The other thing that has been perturbing me this week is Sam's chin. The only place you can see valleys like that in the natural world is lovely North Wales. Why does she have a bottom on her chin? It really is horrible. It looks not entirely dissimilar to Normal1's avatar. I really wish they would fill it in with some modelling clay or something before she goes on the set.

And why, when the multicultural Xmas nativity was being discussed, did no one consult the Ferrieras? Why were Minty, Charlie and Jules at the meeting? They're hardly the types to get involved in a bloody community play are they?

And how come little Mo ALWAYS walks through the door just when Billy is saying/doing something he shouldn't? Is she a ghost? How can you possibly not hear someone coming in the door of an old house, it makes a right royal racket!!

Pandora
10-12-2004, 10:39 PM
Ah yes, Sams chin is very impressive isnt it? She is a relation of Desperate Dan I believe.

We had the ludicrous scenario of Lucy and Peters birthday cake tonight. One minute Pat was mixing some icing for a poor looking bit of old cack sponge cake, the next, (and only about five minutes into a conversation with Charlie), she said, "da daaaaaa" and lo and behold, a cake, fully iced, the icing dried, Happy birthday iced to perfection, a lovely satin bow around the cake, not a bit of washing up in the sink and about 59 candles on the top.

And if that wasnt ludicrous enough, we had the horrible sight of Ian trying to act and say his lines in an amusing fatherly way .... it doesnt work Ian, stick to being a snidey ferret.

Big Mo seems to have forgotten that Charlie is her son in law rather than her boyfriend (even they DO look the same age, something Ive never been able to work out) ...

Billaaaaaayyyyyyy and Mo are really annoying with all this on/off/can I/cant I love the baaaaayyyybeeeeeyyyyyy scenario....

and if the Zoe/Dennis/Shazza triangle goes on for much longer, I shall have to go round to Elstree Studios myself and sleep with him.

A difficult task, I know, but I shall do it for the Forum. ;)

I agree entirely with you about the Nativity storyline - but apart from all the politically correct nonsense, what an utter load of rubbish of a plot it is eh? Havent they got anything better for Derek to do?

As for Little Mo ........ arrghhhhhhhhhhh shes driving me mad ! First of all we have the "new, stronger Little Mo" turning up at Court for the rape case, speaking in a deep, normal voice, full of confidence. We now have her, for some unknown reason, talking in a Frank Spencer type warbly voice again, and saying either "Fredddayyyyyyy" or "Billlaaaaayyyyy" and just for good measure, "Alfffaaaayyyyyy". The whole story is ludicrous anyway. I mean just HOW many women would keep a rapists baby and just how many would not only keep the child, but expect their husbands to accept it?

Zoe irritates the hell out of me, her incredible shrinking/growing bosom is like a blow up comedy chest from the joke shop and the simpering coy, coquettish looks Sharon keeps giving Dennis at the club make me want to scream.

Apart from that the programme's fine ....

Hi everyone, I've been absent from this thread for ages now as not watched EE for over two weeks, but turned it on last night and couldn't believe my eyes!

Paul walking to his death in a black cab, for goodness sake I would have legged it out the back, and poor Sam :excl: did she realy deserve that? Foolish girl, but really who would you trust? I don't really get what happened, I know that Den was behind the Marcus set up, but what triggered it? Was it anything to do with those papers that Den showed Chrissie? Are they really so heartless as to see someone financialy ruined and homeless like that, Sam isn't that bad is she?
So Shazza and mini Den are set to do a runner boxing day, I'm guessing that they won't go now cos of mini zoe? (I read that few pages back)
EE is driving me round the bend with it's repetative story lines. How many times can Den win back the pub. Does he get to kep half the money too? Dirty scoundral:angry:

I moan about it too, boring characters, boring drawn out unbelievable story-lines, rubbish acting, garbage!! There's Den saying he wants to keep the family together, yet he played dead for how long? My brain is saying "tell him this Sharon..." and "ask her this Dennis..." and I get frustrated when they never say the obvious thing that anyone on their situation would.

How come everyone believes that Zoe is pregnant without one scrap of proof. No one has said that it may be a trick. Surely somebody (Dennis) would have thought of it. Grrrrr!

However, come 7.30 I am still tuning in and hoping that the phone doesn't ring  I think it's just a habit now.

What annoys me in these soaps is that wives just seem to get chucked out of their homes on to the street (Corrie and Karen as well) without any mention of the laws that says a spouse gets half in the event of a breakup.
Are these characters meant to be so dumb that they dont know this?

Yeah and along the same lines, how do they just manage to pay the money and suddenly they "own" a new pub, club or whatever. Haven't they ever heard of conveyancing and how long it takes to get the deeds changed, etc. and how did Den ever get a License so quick? Hahaha - Mr. C is always asking these questions but I just tell him to stretch his imagination a bit :)

Remember that Andy would be entitled to half the money from the businesses she sold as well, so I would suspect the house is the least he's entitled to keep under the circumstances!

But I do agree about the property sales - it's ridiculous! And also, the Licensing Magistrates only sit once a month (and certainly not at Christmas I can assure you!) so no way would Den have got his licence by now!

How is Zoe going to deal with having a period when Dennis is living with her? She can hardly hide it if they're having sex can she? And wouldn't there be some evidence about, like Tampax boxes? What about pre-natals and scans?

How can Sharon just decide to go and live in the USA? It's like Peggy moving to Columbia (or wherever it was). Surely you have to get a visa to start with and/or apply for residency (which would take months)? How could Vicky just take Dennis's plane ticket at a moment's notice? Surely they wouldn't let her board the plane with a ticket in the wrong name?

Oh well...

claire

I love Eastenders but the storylines have been ridiculous lately... I cannot believe that they don't think of the things that you have all pointed out!

How did Vicky pack all her stuff in minutes to get on a plane?

How did the have all the presents and everything under the tree the next morning after moving into the Vic, I mean if any of us have moved we know it is a nightmare!

Why does Dennis have to be with Zoe because she's having a baby? Staying together for that reason is ridiculous, and I doubt he would have let Sharon go that easily.

Alfie could have called the police when Dennis came to kick him out... and who would refuse 3 months pay?

Sam could have called the police when Andy chucked her out and who would stand there like a fool and pay up if your ex demanded £200 right away? I'd tell him where to get off. She's sitting there like a slob supposedly with nothing and she could just call her mum or Grant and they would fly her to be with them!

Ian has no right to demand that Minty and Gary work on a public holiday with no notice might I add! Plus- what grown ups would take orders the way he was giving them? Most people would find another job!

I forgot to mention, how could Christmas dinner for the whole of Wolford just appear when the shops are not even open!!

Please - get a writer with half a brain! :bye:

I would like to know how the writers think that Dirty Den is attractive to the opposite sex -yuk - he looks like a grimy, sleazy unattractive OLD man. I read somewhere he is to have a snog with Zoe. That girl is about 18 and looks like a model, it beggars belief she would be remotely interested (even with beer goggles on) in a nasty old git like Den!!!

I've completely lost the plot of eastenders.

Maybe these questions have been answered before but:

why are Chrissie and Kate friends again?

why is Zoe pretending to be pregnant?

who left over Christmas, was it just Sharon aka Princess?

why has Den suddenly got more hair - have a look at face on shots, he's deffo go more on top these days - and they seem to be going heavy with the make up cos he doesn't look as rough as he used to - still dog rough though!

why has Andy got nothing better to do that dress badly and sit in the bookies all the time?

what happened to the sensational Paul? did he get murdered by the "gangsters" - he was one of the few decent actors in Eastenders I hope he goes on to get recognition for his acting skills in a more deserving drama/comedy/whatever!

what happened to that awful Slater reject - the one who looked like Janine?

why do I care?

Maybe these questions have been answered before but:

why are Chrissie and Kate friends again? I think they decided it was less hassle than being enemies, and they actually like each other!
why is Zoe pretending to be pregnant? So that mini Den wouldn't do a runner with Shazza- it worked- for now, but I reckon she's gonna have to sleep with Dirty Den to get pregnant cos mini Den don't want to have sexual relations with her!
who left over Christmas, was it just Sharon aka Princess? Vicki went with her (yay!) she decided to take the place of mini Den and packed all her worldly goods in less than 5 minutes and apparently managed to get the ticket transferred into her name!
why has Den suddenly got more hair - have a look at face on shots, he's deffo go more on top these days - and they seem to be going heavy with the make up cos he doesn't look as rough as he used to - still dog rough though!
Probably trying to make him appear less of a pervert, not working is it?
why has Andy got nothing better to do that dress badly and sit in the bookies all the time? Cos they don't want to move him around too much in case his cardboard frame creases or his strings break
what happened to the sensational Paul? did he get murdered by the "gangsters" - he was one of the few decent actors in Eastenders I hope he goes on to get recognition for his acting skills in a more deserving drama/comedy/whatever! Sadly the superb Paul Trueman decided to just give in and go for a ride in a black cab with a gangster driver, he had no choice as he squealed to the cops and the bad lads found out  I still think he should have runwhat happened to that awful Slater reject - the one who looked like Janine? I know I can't believe this! last time I watched EE (before I started watching it again) she was going home and was at the bus stop, but then she saw shazza and mini Den getting out of a cab snogging, I suppose she came back to stir up more trouble, but don't know if she succeeded why do I care? Can't answer that one!

I know what you mean about nit picking, but I just can't help thinking the things I have mentioned because the storylines are getting worse and worse. God, yes ! But then Ive always found her irritating and a totally unnecessary addition to the cast. And just HOW ludicrous was it that within ten minutes of "Nana Moon being taken ill", she had the doctor call on her? It just doesnt happen !!!!

There again, there are lots of things that confuse me in Eastenders. How did Den get his name over the door of The Vic so quickly and his family esconsced behind the bar without anyone making a protest of it in the pub?

Apparently Sam needs to get a job as she has no money. She decides to bite the bullet and take a job in Ians chip shop. WHY???? She lives in London for gods sake! Do the entire cast feel it necessary to live and work within a twenty yard radius of their homes, as if no-one ever commutes or works in the city?

Why didnt Paul Trueman do a runner? He seemed to have practically the entire day to hop out of the back door, get on a ferry and get lost, considering all the crying, drinking of whiskey, smoking of fags that was going on.

How did Vicky get Mini Den's ticket changed so quickly (on Christmas Day!!!) in order to hop on a plane to New York? And - like Kat Slater - seemed to suddenly have all her wordly goods in a small bag.

How is Zoe going to hide the fact she is having a period from Mini Den?

Why wasnt it explained how Den found out Marcus has been fiddling the books re the Mitchells for years ? (or was it, and I missed an episode?).

Only one good thing happened over the Christmas /New Year break - they finally got rid of the abysmal actor that is Spencer Moon. Only Nana Moon, Sam Mitchell, Gary Hobbs, and the artful dodger - sorry, Stacey Slater, to go .......

Eastenders has lost the plot recently. Peggy isn't coming back you know because she thinks the show is crap, when they get some new writers she'll consider it (hark at her!) Would you sit there like Sam and not even phone any of your family. Not even her aunt (forget her name-croaky voice) How comes she never even spoke to her mum at christmas.
I don't find it convincing at all.

And yes I have to say- nothing personal against Spencer but he is most annoying and a terrible actor... I can see the script in front of him when he speaks. That expression he always pulls, mind you I don't think Alfies that great either but he seems to be popular?

What's with that closing of the eyes or rapid blinking that Nana Moon and Ann Widdecomb both do when they're talking? It's weird. Drives me nuts.

Is Zoe really going to get pregnant by Dirty Den? I think that would be stretching the imagination too far even for Eastenders.

Last week she was having qualms about lieing to Dennis, saying it wasn't fair, etc. but she doesn't see any harm in passing off his father's child as his own? What?????

How on earth does she explain a 10 month pregnancy? If she can't get Dennis to sleep with her so they can really make a baby, then going with Dirty Den a month later, when Dennis knows they are not sleeping together is going to take a bit of explaining eh?

Has Spencer gone? I must have missed that bit - where's he supposed to have gone?

Hmmm, now I have picked it to bits I'm off to watch tonight's episode :)

Billy Murray played Don Beech in The Bill and he was superb. He was the most bent, evil cop you could ever wish to meet.

The EE writers are a pessimisttic lot aint they - no one ever "does good" do they - its about DOOM and GLOOM all the time - dont know about anyone else, but I have enough cr@p in my REAL life, therefore when I escape into TV land, I do it for light relief and a bit of humour - as in Corrie and Emmerdale........They have PERFECT comedy double acts in EE with The Truemans and Jim and Dot - so come on you alleged writing muppets - MAKE ME LAUGH!!!! It doesnt take much to raise a smile for me!!!!

AND you would probably INCREASE your veiwers - lets see Mo, Billy and Freddie HAPPY, when they have a drama can it be a funny one and not a tragic one - how much does that poor woman have to go through before she has a happy life?!?!?!

I did an EE boycott on Monday night - the THOUGHT of that nasty, pervy, wrinkley, cyril sneer-like Den Watts having a go on Zoe Slataaaaaaaaaaaa makes me wanna puke!!!!!! They finally get rid of Quiver Lips Watts - to have her pervy old man take over to make me feel ill!!!!

I really really hope the newspaper that reported this, has it wrong. Its the most stomach churningly horrid storyline ever.

Allegedly, the actress that plays Zoe recoiled when she read the script and refused to kiss Den, saying, "everyone knows what they are going to do, we dont have to spell it out..." Poor Zoe.

As far as the ludicrous storyline goes - wouldnt you just say that you had had a miscarriage and cut your losses, and refuse to see the doctor? Zoe cant get any more miserable or stressed, so she may as well risk losing Mini Den, than have to go through the awfulness of sleeping with the whispering, baggy eyed ol troll that is his Father.

And also, does Den have magic sperm or something? Both he and Zoe seem convinced that once the dirty deed is done, she will be pregnant. He could sleep with the silly moo for months and she might not get preggers !

EE still sacked him though.

Some questions:

Has Patrick completely forgotten that before Paul left, he was screaming and begging for the car keys as though he was running away from someone? Has he also forgotten the strange bloke that was hanging around outside that took Paul away?

What has happened to Real Walford and what was the point of that storyline anyway?

What happened to the Vic darts team?

Where are Martin and Sonia?

How come Den and Zoe didn't get out of bed, bearing in mind Dennis was slamming doors around, thudded up the stairs, and was shouting "Zoe!" at the top of his voice?

If Zoe can't bear shagging Den, why was laying in bed with him in a post-coital state of relaxation?

(Legal head on now). How come the Market Inspector on Walford Market suddenly has power of seizure under the Trademarks Act?

What has happened to Ian's son Bobby? Who is looking afte him while Ian is in the cafe?

What is going on with Zoe? You can only do a pregnancy test when you are late for your period. If she's late for her period, what's the point in shagging Den Senior to try and get pregnant - she's hardly going to ovulate on Day 29 or whatever of her cycle!

Why did Little Mo decide to meet Zoe at the doctor's when they only live across the road from each other?

Why is it that Jake, Danny and Mini Den are always wearing the same clothes in every episode?

Yes, he thought Paul was just anxious to get off on his holidays

What has happened to Real Walford and what was the point of that storyline anyway?

Scriptwriter ran out of ideas and it was just a filler anyway
What happened to the Vic darts team?

See What happened to Real Walford

Having done a few "filmed inserts" of them walking in the Vic they have gone off for their real holidays/other film work/resting
How come Den and Zoe didn't get out of bed, bearing in mind Dennis was slamming doors around, thudded up the stairs, and was shouting "Zoe!" at the top of his voice?

They hoped he would go away and not notice
If Zoe can't bear shagging Den, why was laying in bed with him in a post-coital state of relaxation?

Maybe it wasn't post coital but coitus interruptus?
(Legal head on now). How come the Market Inspector on Walford Market suddenly has power of seizure under the Trademarks Act?

He knelt in front of the Scripwriter and he bestowed the Order of Power of Seizure on him
What has happened to Ian's son Bobby? Who is looking afte him while Ian is in the cafe?

He's working in the chip shop

To give Zoe a chance to give her the slip
Why is it that Jake, Danny and Mini Den are always wearing the same clothes in every episode?

Because they are hanging in Wardrobe with their names on

I thought they came back a couple of weeks ago!!?!?!?!?

It AMAZES me how a student nurse and a fruit and veg seller can afford these exotic holidays AND take the time off the way they do in Soapland.....

And WHY when someone is moaning they are skint will they be doing it in the Vic while getting the round in!?!?!?

WHERE have the Ferrarias gone?!?!!? (yes I know they have been sacked, but no explaination) Abducted by aliens perhaps!!???

The EE's scriptwriters are confusing us peeps, they think we are stooooopid, we must be to have accepted the Dirty Den was dead now he's not routine, but I suppose it worked for Dallas, why not EE?!?!?

Adi Ferriera and his biro'd-on tash was seen briefly last week when Sam Mitchell went to collect the rent from him (as its her taxi firm apparently, which I didnt know). I reckon they wont even write the Ferrieras out, they will just disappear. As will Micky and Kareena's romance. (Hopefully).

It makes me laugh too when people say they are skint but are in the Queen Vic night after night. And Pauline seems to go to see Michelle in the USA nearly five times a year now .... where does she get the money from?

well Im SURE I saw Fartin and Sonia in the Vic the other night   it was when Spencer had "broken into Pooooooooooorlines" and the new Moon lads went and tried to apologise to them.....but......I could have made it up!

Glad you have cleared up the bit about the car lot - I didnt know Sam owned that either.........

and finally......did anyone notice the other night when Dennis and Den were having a chat about Dennis and what he was going to do about Zoe and blah blah blah.....the music that was playing in the background was The Clash - Should I Stay or Should I Go......have a listen tonight - it will make you chuckle at the choice of songs they use to tie in with the storylines!

I was hoping that Mini Dennis would give Baggy Eyed Den a poke in the snout tonight, but it looks like he got one over on him by telling Chrissie instead.

Martin & Sonia were back at least 2 weeks ago, and you are right, they DID come in the Vic when Spencer was going on and on about breaking in to Pauline's.

Sadly they seem now to have been abducted by the same spacecraft that took the Ferreiras and Mickey (who doesn't seem to live at the Millers any more either).

I do love the way that Andy was, apparently, "Mr Big" in the gangster world, until now, when they want to write him out of the series. Now someone else is Mr Big.

And back to storyline anomalies...

Have you noticed Den keeps saying to Dennis that he abandoned him as a child and left his mother? Has he forgotten that she never told him she was pregnant and he never knew Dennis existed? THAT was the original story - so what's he got to apologise for?

And how come Sharon has now sold the Club from the USA when Den/Mini Den were handling it through an agent?

What's happened to the Nail Bar?

Why doesn't Sam get a job in the City or something? How come everyone in E15 HAS to work in "The Square"? Someone with experience of running a business could surely do better than a job in a chippy?

And do you think that Den's murderer could be Marcus? After all, they think we've forgotten about him don't they...?

PS. Last night one of the characters referred (whether by accident or design) to the Moon Brothers as "Jack and Danny".

Now I don't know if you're aware, but "Jack and Danny" is rhyming slang for "fanny".

I think I'll leave it there.

[QUOTE=claire]  /QUOTE] Oh he will always be known as Fartin Martin to me .... lol.

Anyone else hate Billy Mitchell? I had his squeaky whiney voice and weaselly features.

Good bit of acting from Patrick tonight in the Cop Station when he identified Pauls body (dammit, I was really hoping Paul would come back one day).

Just how on earth is everyone fitting in the Slater house again? We have Stacey, Zoe, Gary, Charlie, Big Mo all living under the same roof and in supposedly separate bedrooms

Oh, and mystery solved - I missed the episode featuring the return of Fartin and Sonia due to it also heavily featuring Spencer Moon (who I cant watch). However, as has been pointed out, where the hell are they? Fartin isnt on the stall, we have seen numerous scenes featuring Pawwwwline but no Fartin and Sonia, and also why didnt Ian ask Sonia to look after the twins, if they have returned from India?

Whats happened to Pat? Last we saw she was tootling off in a black cab, going somewhere for Christmas. She's supposed to have very little money, so wheres she gone?

More to the point - when she returned to the soap, did Sonia have norks like Brigitte Nielson? She has had a boob job apparently ....

She went to New Zealand to see her son and grandson, Her son (is it David?) sent her the ticket and Andy Hunter gave her bonus pocket money for being a loyal geezer.

I'm so sad about Paul and now they can't find Antneee, so he won't be able to come to the funeral.
I wonder why paul's body was kept for so long? I'm asuming he was bumped of straight away. They wouldn't let patrick identify a three week old corpse

KAT and Alfie are to be reunited on EastEnders as part of a huge shake-up aimed at saving the crisis-hit show.

New boss John Yorke will get the nation’s favourite soap couple back together after dramatically BINNING up to six months of scripts.

In a battle to woo back audiences he has also banned any storylines which echo plots on Coronation Street.

WE QUIT

Jan 29 2005

Stars Sam and Zoe to leave soap SHOWBIZ EXCLUSIVE 2

By Caroline Hedley

EASTENDERS was facing fresh crisis last night after two of its most glamorous stars quit.

Kim Medcalf, 29, who plays Sam Hunter, will walk out of Albert Square in May - at the same time as Michelle Ryan films her final scenes.

Yesterday the Mirror revealed that executive producer Kathleen "The Hatchet" Hutchison had been axed.

A BBC insider said: "Kim's had a good time during her three years but feels she's gone as far as she can.

"The timing is pretty unfortunate as her screen mum Barbara Windsor has just agreed to come back.

"With Kathleen gone the new regime may try to talk her out of it."

Michelle, 21, is also quitting the soap after months of talks.

Her character Zoe Slater is pregnant with Dirty Den's baby after he convinced her to sleep with him to trick her boyfriend, young Den. The insider said: "Michelle is hot property and has been inundated with offers of other acting work.

"She's also had several offers of lucrative modelling projects."

The departures will cause a headache for scriptwriters, working under the re-formed "dream-team" of acting executive producer John Yorke and advisor Tony Jordan.

But a source said: "Morale is high and already it feels as if the show is turning the corner.

"Losing very popular characters is obviously a blow - but if anyone can handle it well, John and Tony can."

Apparently Phil Mitchell is coming back!

Er, how is that going to work? He's wanted by the Police (if nothing else, surely he'd go to jail for going on the run?!) and he has NO businesses left!

And they're also trying to persuade Grunt to come back - but I thought he was on the run from the load of gangsters he and Phil set up when the drug deal went wrong?

Apparently Sam grasses up Andy and he gets put away for Paul's murder. Of course, none of his gangster pals would bash Sam up for that now would they?

Meanwhile, the Ferreiras are still missing (apart from Kareena appearing in shot in one scene, but not saying anything), Fat Pat has emigrated without telling anyone, Alfie is managing to sleep four people in a one bed flat, Patrick and Yolande have been forgotten about as foster parents, Stacey can't remember what the point is of her being there, and we're supposed to care that the silly tart from the Millers can't get her other half to marry her. Over at Slater mansions, the "Tardis" effect continues, with one house accommodating Big Mo, Little Mo, Charlie, Gary, Stacey and Zoe. Where do they all sleep - is someone bedding down in the bath for God's sake?

Pandora

So, Phil Mitchell is found, at 3am, in a factory, the Security Guard unconscious, Phil trapped surrounded by fifty grand of stolen loot, with a firearm then goes on the run for over a year after escaping from Police custody, and they are bringing him back???????????????

He would go down for 10 years as it is for armed robbery, stick another five years on top of that for being on the run etc....

What a bloody stupid idea. I simply cant see how they would get round the fact that Phil was actually arrested on the premises by the Police ....so they know he has done it !

EE sounds like it doesnt know whats going on at the moment. Louise Berridge gets the push, the "saviour" of the soap Kathleen Hutchison arrives and promptly sacks the Ferrieras and wooden Den Watts (hooray) then the cast mutiny (allegedly) threaten to leave etc and Kathleen is shown the door, which now paves the way for Mal Young to come back - and he is a big fan (for some reason) of the Ferrieras and Dirty Den etc......

Why does everyone have to live and work in the square, can't the writers at least have a couple of people who work in a different borough?!?!

And in tonight's episode...

Despite there being four cars of mourners, at the funeral only 5 people turned up.

Paul's funeral procession seemed to go round Albert Square at least 3 times.

When Janine was arrested for murder, no 41 was obviously still full of her furniture etc. However when Jake and Danny moved in it was empty.

Janine would surely have had her trial by now, and either been acquited or sent to prison. In either case, why would her house be empty?

Andy has decided to tell both Pat and Sam what happened to Paul. As you would. Convenient, that.

No one seems to care that the Moons will lose their deposit on the chippy flat as they didn't give their landlord any notice they were moving.

Bobby, despite being about 18 months old now, still looks like, and sounds like, a newborn baby.

Derek finally gets to make an appearance.

Dr Trueman wonders how he's managed to put on about three stones when he was working in Cambodia of all places.

WHAT is wrong with the Slater women and giving birth to the "devils spawn"????

I accept that when Kat got preggers with Zoe it was a long time ago and the options she had were different than now....

when Lil Mo got preggers by Graham the rapist she went ahead and had the baby and expected her hubby to accept the child as his - I cant IMAGINE giving birth to a child created from violence - I dont think I could do it, I would be reminded of what happened every time I looked at him or her.....

so now drippy Zoe has got herself up the duff by baggy eyed Den and hasnt even contemplated having a termination - the thought of part of him growing inside of me would have me reaching for the gin and a knitting needle whilst running a VERY hot bath!!!!!

If you mean Sharon, she's back for Den's funeral I think - though if they find his body, wouldn't that mean a murder enquiry - unless they fit Andy up - oh I don't know!

If you mean Sharon, she's back for Den's funeral I think - though if they find his body, wouldn't that mean a murder enquiry - unless they fit Andy up - oh I don't know! Andy dies before Den, apparently. Im not totally sure about this, but it says in the TV Times that not only are Chrissie, Sam and Zoe in the frame for Den's murder but his children are too !

Which makes me wonder if Shazza QuiverLips, Lush but wooden Dennis and Vicki (hopefully a new actress), come back for the opening of the new club - ie. before Den shuffles off this mortal coil?

Either way it looks a good hour long episode :w00t:

Anyone see last nights episode where Zoe seemed to be able to get an abortion within about 2 hrs of deciding? I presume they give you an anaesthetic? She had no blood pressure checks or pre-meds........ simply walked in and walked out as if it were as easy as going into a travel agents and booking a holiday. Surely you need to be referred by your GP, and if not - isnt there a wait????
I thought this was ludricous. First she would have had to have had the forms signed by two doctors would she not? And what about counselling. Surely they can't agree to women making a life changing decision like that without talking it through. Women in Zoe's situation often don't know what they want. The pyschological damage done by making a split decision like that could affect her for the rest of her life.
Please someone tell me that this can not happen in this country.

Next weeks episodes look a corker! The three girls (Chrissie, Zoe and Sam) put their heads together to plot revenge against Den, not before pulling each other's hair out first.
Can't wait!

Well tonights episode proved one thing to me. That mop on Chrissies head is her real hair not a wig ! It was pulled to buggery by Sam Mitchell in the Vic tonight.

Anyone still think though that even given a nice meaty bit of dialogue and action, that Sam cant act her way out of a paper bag???

Whats up with Pauline Fowlers eyes? She looks chinese - has she had a brow lift or something? They are stretched up her face.

First real look at Sonia's new knockers tonight. At least her body looks more balanced now. Although to be honest, Alfie in his blue zip up jumper looks like he has bigger man breasts at the moment.

"Hi, is that Sharon?"

"Yes."

"It's Chrissie. Your dad's seriously ill. you must come home now"

"Oh my God! What's wrong with him?"

"I can't say, but he's not in hospital, he's at the pub. You must get a flight that will get here at about 11.30pm. When you get here come in the back door. I'll be in the bar. When you get here just stand in the hall and earwig on a conversation I'm having in the bar. Oh, and don't bring Vicky, even though he's her Dad too".

"Oh, ok then Chrissie, see you later!"

:glare:

Oh, and we're also supposed to believe that Sam, having done nothing wrong whatsoever, would witness a murder and then decide not to go to the Police about it for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

A bit like when Phil went to prison rather than tell the Police that Den set the whole thing up.

Hmmm...

well quite Ceridwen! I've still not suspended my disbelief at the scene years and years ago when Angie told Den she was dying of a fatal disease and NOT ONCE did he ask her what it was or what treatment she was having for it!!

As for tonight's episode - glad to see the back of Andy.

Regarding Den and his girls - I think the three witches allusions have been done to death now, well Den certainly has!

....and that was Chrissie's master plan?!?!? to get Den to sign a piece of paper?!?! bloomin' nora - these people give vindictive, bitter and twisted women a bad name!!

as for Danny .... girls I have bad bad sad sad news - he's gay, a poofter, a shirt lifter, a homosexual - tis true I read it in a discarded copy of the Sun on the train on Wednesday!

One thing I know for certain is, no "head honcho" in the gangster world does his own dirty work.

If Johnny wanted Andy dead, he's have hired a hitman through a third party. The last thing he'd do is risk getting involved himself.

Chrissie definitely needs a "what not to wear" makeover :) They all seem to be wearing the same clothes week in, week out.

Charlie could do with a new jacket, that Green thing looks terrible and he must have another sweat shirt surely.

What about Mo's hat? Like a pudding basin with ear-flaps.

And have you noticed Pauline's eyes? They seem to be drawn up like a cat's - weird. She can't have had surgery because the bags are still there.

Whats up with Pauline Fowlers eyes? She looks chinese - has she had a brow lift or something? They are stretched up her face.

I noticed Pauline's eyes a couple of weeks back in the above post. Strange aren't they.

I agree that the "Master Plan" was total crap. They could at least have had Den tied to a chair with a knife held to his most prized body parts.

Much as I hated Andy's character I think he was the only bloke there (apart from Dennis) who was worth a second look.

I haven't a clue how all this is going to pan out - if anyone is arrested for Den's murder. I thought I heard somewhere that they hide his body in the basement.

When Den grabbed Chrissie's ankle I thought how pathetic - it was obviously supposed to be like in "Carrie" but I jumped out of my skin in that one and just laughed when Den did it.

It also harked back to the "Fatal Attraction" scene when Glenn Close lurches out of the bath after being supposedly drowned.
