Why mixed feelings ?
Patsy 22-06-2005, 12:37 PM Cons: City holiday; big city; hiring a car and therefore many potential arguments and much stress; very hot that time of year; don't speak Spanish; usually go away with other family members so worried we'll get sick of each other's company.
Pros: Beautiful city; many places to eat; have car so can drive out of city; Port Aventura theme and water parks nearby for kids (and us!); self catering so don't have to eat in restaurants all the time if we don't want to; apparently quite a lot of people here speak Spanish (unlike Madrid).
Sorry you asked?
survivorfan 22-06-2005, 12:41 PM I'm sorry she asked.
How do you check if your iron is hot enough - do you spit on it, put your hand on it, or 'other'?
Patsy 22-06-2005, 12:42 PM Other: Put a small drop of water on the ironing board and iron it up. If it steams, it's ready.
Any other handy hints I can help with?

If your house caught fire and you jumped out of your bedroom window, do you think you'd be able to walk away unharmed?
Bonsai 22-06-2005, 01:07 PM No, as im clumsy at the best of times, and i would do it so badly i would probably break every bone in my body. I wouldnt be able to just jump out of the window anyway. I would battle my way into the flames to save my beloved pussies.
