I can't find the other thread about Blunkett so Im starting a new one. I've pasted the story on the latest proceedings below. I cannot believe that Ms Quinn has put her husbands name on the Birth Certificate, she sounds like an evil cow. Do you feel strongly about this case at all? I feel a great deal of sympathy for Blunkett.

DAVID Blunkett has launched a legal battle against his former lover Kimberly Quinn to prove he is the father of her new-born baby.

The former Home Secretary is already demanding access to her two-year-old son William through the courts after DNA tests are claimed to prove he is the father.

Solicitors acting for Mr Blunkett have sent up to seven letters to Mrs Quinn's lawyers demanding similar tests are carried out on the baby.

The birth certificate of baby Lorcan states that her husband Stephen is the father but Mr Blunkett is convinced the boy his.

It is understood the MP's legal team have warned the Quinns he will fight the case as strongly as his paternity suit over William.

The move casts doubt on a rumoured early return to frontline politics.

Mr Blunkett resigned as Home Secretary after an inquiry found he had fast-tracked a visa for Mrs Quinn's Filipina nanny.

I seem to remember the theme was regarding her husband and how he must be feeling - this was when it was front page news for about a week. He must just be thinking 'what a mug I have been'. And how humiliating it is for him.

My feelings on this are that if Blunkett is the father, then of course, he has every right to fight for access to his child/ren.

And I dare not print what I think about Kimberely Qquinn.:angry:

Dunno what I think, it's a right undignified mess and no mistake. I feel for the children to be honest and Mr Quinn as well. Mr Blunkett and Mrs Quinn are as bad as each other IMO.

I think if they are his children and this is proved he should be able to have access to them.

Blink help us out here...... but doesn't the law state that if a woman is married at the time of birth the husbands name is automatically put on the birth certificate unless otherwise requested.

Well, I think the fact that he's blind is totally irrelevent Claire, he's a grown man and knew what he was doing carried all sorts of risks, to his career and to his personal life. You make you bed and you lie in it, as my gran would have said.

My uncle has very strong political links and it is 'known' that Mrs Quinns husband is gay. This is why he puts up with her affairs etc, Blunkett is not the first or last. I don't suppose he is too happy about this arrangement being public now, but that is why he has been 'happy' to stabd by her over the affairs and children.

Well if Mr Q is gay, that certainly explains a lot! But he was married before and has 3? sons, hasn't he?(I know that doesn't guarantee anything but he must love living with women and pregnant ones at that)
I don't think Mr B should get involved or should have thought about all this before he did the dirty deed - it is common for men to raise children who are not biologically theirs and all credit to him for wanting to keep a stable home life. Quinn juniors are going to have a lot to come to terms with in about 10 years time ....
