Pandora 31-10-2004, 04:31 PM This is the new place to post your opinions about Corrie girl friday 02-11-2004, 11:23 PM Great show - fab acting, funny and dramatic........this is what all soaps should aspire to be like. The awards at the NTA last week were richly deserved, and had Bruno Langley won for his amazing portrayal of Todd this year, that would have been soap justice. Shame it's losing Suranne Jones too at the end of this year, though I dare say Corrie will be sure to replace Karen with another sexy, feisty (and talented) gal! ils 03-11-2004, 08:08 AM IMO This is the ONLY soap worth watching ...... I will miss Karen (Surranne) as she makes a great double act with Steve but as GF says I am sure they will replace her will someone who will be as good. Flip 03-11-2004, 08:47 AM I wish Suranne was staying and that blinkin awful Cilla was going instead. She is just a poisionous evil witch with a easy loose rubber Mary - oh and while they're at it get rid of disgusting Les. God I just cannot abide either of those two.:ranting: Bonsai 03-11-2004, 09:21 AM I wish Suranne was staying and that blinkin awful Cilla was going instead. She is just a poisionous evil witch with a easy loose rubber Mary - oh and while they're at it get rid of disgusting Les. God I just cannot abide either of those two.:ranting: Lol - i cant stand Cilla and Les either. I cringe when they come on the screen. I think with Cilla its her upsidedown mouth. I love the stuff with Charlie at the moment though. I have heard he becomes a bit of a girlfriend beater ? Flyo 03-11-2004, 10:07 AM I'm very mixed with Corrie... I loved the Sunita/Mya story last week, how evil was that!! Poor Sunita, she wouldn't harm a fly...! It should be Dev locked away just for the way he speaks... One I don't like is Janice, and again it's just the way she speaks, it's horrible! Karen and Steve are great, shame Karen's going... Jack and Vera are great, I think they're going too... They could make something good out of Sally and Kevin, Sally's quite funny while Kevin's just boring... I like Eileen, she's really quite funny in the way she's so unlucky... they could really find her a man and make them a great couple... same for Fred (only with a woman). Though Fred and Eileen... maybe not... Sylvia in Stilettoes 03-11-2004, 12:21 PM I read somewhere that the decision to leave Coronation Street was not down to Suranne Jones. Her contract was not going to be renewed and she was allowed to say it was her decision to go.Don't shout at me if this information is incorrect because I read it on the net. :D I'm glad she's going as I regard her as the Queen of the Nodding Head School of Acting. Bella 03-11-2004, 12:55 PM Count me in to get rid of Les, Cilla and Janice! Neither of them add anything to the street and their acting is dire, especially Les and Janice's. I agree Flyo Janice's speech is just a joke, surely she doesn't really speak like that! Minklemar 03-11-2004, 01:20 PM I like Janice for the reason Flyo and Bella don't like her! My Aunty May spoke just like that - everytime I hear Janice it reminds me of my Aunt. Mashed 03-11-2004, 01:52 PM I wish they would give Janice a better wig, it's getting more squished every episode and is spoiling my viewing. I can't stand her but loved it when she said that Cilla had a face like a "slapped pie"..... pots and kettles ! Pandora 03-11-2004, 10:25 PM For lots of reasons, I dont get to see Corrie as much as Id like, however I tuned in the other day to witness a VERY raddled looking Bradley Walsh schmooooozing and flirting with a black girl in the factory. I recognised her as the actress that has been tipped to replace Suranne Jones in the sexy/good looking actress stakes. Can I just say that she is neither good looking or sexy and her acting was appalling. Corrie either get it spot on actor/actress wise and employ terrific, believable character actors, but when they get it wrong, they get it HORRIFICALLY wrong (think Cieran, Dev, Les and this latest femme fatale) :( Flyo 04-11-2004, 08:42 AM I don't like that new girl either... she's quite terrible, from the moment she came in it... Bonsai 04-11-2004, 08:53 AM Bradley Walsh did look very old last night didnt he. Maybe the lighting wasnt very favourable  I cant believe he would cheat on his gorgeous wife with that 'thing'. I mean, i thought they were getting their marriage back on track and they were really happy  old biddie 05-11-2004, 09:20 PM I think Cilla is a great character, and Chesney & her are great together, I just wish they would get rid of Les & Janice. Wasn't it lovely to see Sunita out. I'm sure it wouldnt be that quick in real life though! old biddie 05-11-2004, 09:29 PM that new boy, footballer Warren isnt much of an actor, he mumbles & I cant tell what he's saying, maybe he could get a transfer and move away. Pandora 05-11-2004, 09:56 PM that new boy, footballer Warren isnt much of an actor, he mumbles & I cant tell what he's saying, maybe he could get a transfer and move away.He may be off quicker than he wants to be .... he has been involved in a fight at a nightclub with some lads from Hollyoaks (obviously handbags were used during the fisticuffs then). Anyway, Corrie bosses arent impressed by his behaviour at all ... Bella 08-11-2004, 03:09 PM He may be off quicker than he wants to be .... he has been involved in a fight at a nightclub with some lads from Hollyoaks (obviously handbags were used during the fisticuffs then). Anyway, Corrie bosses arent impressed by his behaviour at all ... Talking of bad behaviour off-set, what about the guy who plays Dev - he was cautioned with something to do with price-tag changing!!! Oh-er. wonder how long his character is going to last on Corrie, as he had a bit of a ding-dong with the cast not so long ago! Flip 08-11-2004, 03:50 PM I hears this too Bella - and I am nearly ashamed to say that when he first appeared in the street I was a bit smitten by his smooth charm. But I reckon he is going off his rocker a bit at the moment. First there was the spat with the director, over the scenes with Maya and Sunita at the wedding - when he had a mega DIVA type strop and walked off, supposedly quit and just had a bad day all in all. Now this latest, arrest and deception allegation!! Woooooh what will happen next?? Sylvia in Stilettoes 08-11-2004, 04:39 PM I thought he was leaving anyway......maybe I imagined that. Bob 09-11-2004, 01:50 PM I missed all the Sunita and Dev wedding I decided to tape the omnibus and then forgot. :mad2: Did you know that the wedding was filmed in Bombay stores in Bradford? Just in case anyone knows of this wonderful place. LMAO at the quiz show, but then it went a little bit too OTT. As if you can just ring someone on a quiz show without the person being grilled by the production team first. yeah right! Does anyone know if the new Baldwin family will be staying? I like the character Danny, in that I can see a role for him in the street, but the rest of them, what is the point? Debra Stevenson is a great actress, what a shame she is given crap scripts in corrie Does anyone know where the Battersby’s outside loo is? Flip 09-11-2004, 06:12 PM Does anyone know where the Battersby’s outside loo is? I don't know any of the answers to any of your questions Bob - 'cept the last one - the outside loo is in the back yard. Looking down at a floor plan of the back yard with the house at the bottom of the picture, the loo is on the left hand side of the yard next to the back gate at the top of the picture - so furthest away from the house. Isn't it?? Bonsai 10-11-2004, 09:20 AM Yes, you're right Flippy. I think, when they had the BBQ earlier this year they stored booze in it. Pandora 10-11-2004, 03:19 PM Yes, you're right Flippy. I think, when they had the BBQ earlier this year they stored booze in it.Ive always wondered abut the houses in the Street. I dont understand why the Duckworths house and Sally & Kevins house are so different, despite being the same design of terrace. The Duckworths have a front room, and a tiny back room which doubles up as their kitchen. The Websters have a front room, a large back room and a separate kitchen, as do Eileen and co, Emily, Ken and Deirdre. So why is the Duckies house smaller? Jack and Vera used to have a separate kitchen the same size as the websters',but they had it converted into one big room. I think Sally and kev's back room and kitchen are tiny aren't they? In fact all the rooms on corrie are small, even Mike has to share his kitchen with his living room. Pandora 12-11-2004, 06:34 PM Jack and Vera used to have a separate kitchen the same size as the websters',but they had it converted into one big room. I think Sally and kev's back room and kitchen are tiny aren't they? In fact all the rooms on corrie are small, even Mike has to share his kitchen with his living room.I thought Mike lived in Weatherfields Docklands? In a posh penthousey flat? Or am I behind the times and the poor ol devil has had to move into the Street? I know what you mean though, they probably ARE strapped for space re sets. My Aunt visited Granada Studios not long ago and said the street set itself is very small. The cobbled roads width is tiny. Just goes to show how wide angled lens cameras can fool you ..... Flip 12-11-2004, 08:12 PM Oh God I love this chitter chatter about the size of the rooms/houses in the street - it is so funny. But yes the kitchens were all seperate until the Duckies decided to update their hoose - and knock through and put the stone cladding on the front - oh so delish!! Did anyone see GM:TV about Les and Cilla??? If not a *********mini spoiler****** coming up - but quite honestly if you hadn't guessed - then you must have been in the Amazonian rainforest for the last few months!! But anyway it looks to be a class moment of sheer hilarity .... read on or close your eyes... You know they bought the bath??? And you know it was mammothly heavy to carry upstairs?? And you know Cilla is no lightweight?? And added to that combo you have Les.... And a couple of Hawiian Pizza's - total class.......... and then... Scmichael the Dog [urghhh] Surely you can guess what happens next??? I just cannnnnnnot wait    Bonsai 18-11-2004, 09:35 AM Corrie Street last night was brilliant, with Cilla and Les going through their lounge ceiling :) I couldnt stop laughing. I am getting a little fed up with Karen though. Although i think she is a great character, and her relationship with Steve is fantastic - im just tired of her shouting, and gurning all the time. I like her to smile occasionally. ils 18-11-2004, 11:10 AM Corrie Street last night was brilliant, with Cilla and Les going through their lounge ceiling :) I couldnt stop laughing. I couldn't either Bonnie - oh how I do love Corrie  Pandora 08-12-2004, 10:33 PM Okay, I admit I havent watched Corrie for months now but I tuned in the other night to see Kevin, Sally, two people I didnt know who Sally was obviously trying to impress and Katie's Mum and Dad all having dinner at a restaurant. I was stunned to see how much Sally has changed!!!! She used to be a feisty, working class Mum and she seems to have turned into a deluded snob, looking down her nose at her neighbours !!!! oooh it was horrid. Eternity 08-12-2004, 10:50 PM Ooooh Pandora, you've missed the best snobby bits of Sally then! You should have seen her when she was trying to get her girl into private schooling - I really got to dislike her so much! She's tamed down since then! Bonsai 09-12-2004, 10:06 AM I do enjoy Corrie, but the characters annoy me sometimes. I cant stand that girl in the factory who was billed as being the 'new karen'. She cant act for toffee  I love Ashley and Fred, but Claire leaves me cold. Why anyone would want to marry her is beyond me. I like the ongoing storyline with bully Charlie. Mark my words, he is a bad'un and will soon be getting into Shelleys mind even more  MariaRob 09-12-2004, 10:33 AM I do enjoy Corrie, but the characters annoy me sometimes. Bonsai 09-12-2004, 10:39 AM and an Emmerdale one too please. We do have an emmerdale thread on here somewhere. Mark my words, he is a bad'un and will soon be getting into Shelleys mind even more  Oh god yes - he's horrible isn't he? A complete control freak. I cringe whenever he's on screen. And she is just so wet. Still, I imagine there are couples out there who are just like them. I wonder how it will all end. And the same with Claire, she is just soooooooo boring, even her voice just has me reaching for the remote. The Charlie/Shelly line should be good though! Wasn't he just awful last night when he told Shelly she couldn't see her mum again and what on earth is the dozy mare thinking of by agreeing to it!! I want to feel sorry for Shelly but at the same time, I want to give her a good shake and tell her to give him a hike. I mean did she learn nothing from her experience with Peter!! However if she did tell him to leave, there would be no storyline!! I would like to see more of Frankie though, I like Debra Stephenson. Another drunken girls night out would be fab. The last one was just superb. And Pandora, I know women just like Sally, they are everywhere! Pandora 13-12-2004, 04:39 PM I agree with you Bonnie, I don't like the new girl either. Bonsai 15-12-2004, 03:28 PM I have heard a rumour which i will attempt to grey out Sally does get propositioned by the posh bloke, and he wants to have an affair with her. I was about to ask who is the posh bloke Sally is working for?? And I was thinking Fred - cos I got Shelley and Sally muxed up!! But now I realise you mean Sally Webster!! And not poor old downtrodden Shelley!! God I HATE Charlie so much!! Pandora 15-12-2004, 09:40 PM Did Maya die? Dolores 16-12-2004, 11:25 AM So....who do you reckon pinched the money?Richard ... yep he came out back from the dead, smelling of dirty canal water and fish poo, but he came back and pinched the money - what a cracker of a Christmas plot it's going to be! Minklemar 16-12-2004, 11:26 AM Richard ... yep he came out back from the dead, smelling of dirty canal water and fish poo, but he came back and pinched the money - what a cracker of a Christmas plot it's going to be! And is it just me or is the boy who plays the footballer the worst actor you've ever seen? MariaRob 16-12-2004, 02:06 PM No one has stolen the money - it turns out that Frankie has banked it. I am a southerner and I cant understand a word Warren says, it sounds like his gob is full of marbles, so god knows that them up north make of this pillock. Bob 29-12-2004, 11:42 AM If anyone has a TV mag which tells you when the omnibus is on please let me know! I haven't seen corrie since the night of the underworld christmas party when Karen lost the baby, I need to catch up! Flip 29-12-2004, 04:43 PM Bob they do an omnibus on Saturday afternoon on ITV1 as a rule - but with Xmas falling on a Saturday they obviously didn't have it on Xmas day - and there have been tons of episodes since then - so maybe they will have a Corrie afternoon this Saturday - oh cripes that is NY day - I doubt they will do it then either?? I dunno Bob - can you get ITV2?? Critique 29-12-2004, 10:01 PM Just been talking about unrealistic stuff on the Eastenders Board. Did anyone think it was crazy the way Karen walked out with just a tiny wheely bag that wouldn't have held her collection of shoes? She was a complete shopaholic so how did she manage to get everything into that trolley :) Also the way she walked out into the snow wearing a tiny jacket and her boobs hanging out!!! I think it is only the charlie/shelley thing that really interests me in the Street at the moment. When IS she going to see him for the lying, cheating, low-life that he is? I read somewhere that he buys her a dress a couple of sizes too small and tells her to slim into it!!!! Thought it was over Christmas but maybe New Year. ils 29-12-2004, 10:06 PM I think that is New Years Eve! He gives the dress to the new barmaid to wear I think! MariaRob 30-12-2004, 12:20 PM I think this Steve/Karen and the grinning ape (aka Tracy) story is ludicrous and not believable. Firstly Steve adored Karen and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY he would throw her out just after she had miscarried their child. I am sick and tired of Tracyluv in every scene Steve appears in, does the woman have no dignity or self respect. All she ever does is grin and reminds me of Jack Nicholson when he played the joker in Batman. I also noticed that when there are supposed to be wintry scenes with snow falling everyone is walking around in skimpy tops, short skirts and without a goose bump in sight!!! As for Sally she gets propositioned by the Sleazy Mr Davenport, he tells her that if she wants to keep her job with his company she will have to sleep with him - NO I cant fathom it either, Sally is hardy a sexy young girl any more, with no disrespect to the actress she is a middle aged quite plain woman with thin hair - hardly Demmi Moore!!! Oh Happy Christmas everyone!!! Critique 02-01-2005, 10:45 PM The grinning ape/Steve thing is getting worse. Talk about thick skinned - that Tracy must have skin like a rhinosceros (sp?) and Steve is such a wimp with women. Got "Doormat" written all over him  mamacheetah 04-01-2005, 10:24 PM totally agree about the grinning ape scenario, Tracey seems to have only two expressions and both involve showing teeth. Also she broke up the marriage with Steve and his adored Karen, so he should hardly even tolerate her being near him. I would like to see Steve getting a new girl friend and then see what Tracey does then. I see a stalker storyline coming up, isnt that what those strange adverts are about, maybe someone will enlighten me. Oops just pinched myself to remind me its only a soap, need to get out more I think! Flip 05-01-2005, 05:30 PM I see a stalker storyline coming up, isnt that what those strange adverts are about, maybe someone will enlighten me. Oops just pinched myself to remind me its only a soap, need to get out more I think! What strange adverts?? I haven't seen them!! Oh I do hope Steve gets a new g/f [although I would really like him to get back with Karen][anything but the ape!] - but I heard that he and Tracey do really 'get it together'!!?? Hi mamacheetah btw:wave: Bella 05-01-2005, 05:38 PM Hasn't Adam just suddenly grown?!!!!! Okay, he has probably been brought in to "up" the hunk factor but ageing him by about 5 years is a bit much don't you think?! And I'll bet he'll want to give up a glittering University place to work at Underworld - no comparison really is there? I honestly hope like Flip, that Steve & Tracey DO NOT get it together, they are so unsuited and Tracey will be like the cat that got the cream if they do, I don't know if I can handle that! MariaRob 06-01-2005, 11:53 AM I hope the nasal, thick as a plank, gormless and totally annoying Sarah Lou Platt doesnt get her claws into Adam. That girl is just SO irritating. I would have reacted just the same as Eileen if my boy took up with a girl like that. Also what is wrong with Jason and Violet renting a place if they want to live together - they are both earning, just assuming to move in with his mum - dont they have any self respect or ambition? ils 06-01-2005, 12:00 PM what is wrong with Jason and Violet renting a place if they want to live together - they are both earning, just assuming to move in with his mum - dont they have any self respect or ambition? This story is totally unbelievable, if you were moving in with your boyfriend there is no way you would want that to be at his mum's house! maxine 06-01-2005, 12:08 PM Yeah, it's daft. I do love Eileen. Her acting was spot on when she found out Jason was moving Violet in. On a different note, has anyone noticed the doorway at the house of Bradley Walsh (can't remember the character's name) and family? There's a doorway in the front room that we always see but there's also a thru' way right next to it which negates the need for a door. Have a look next time and you'll see what I mean. Mmmm, must pay more attention next time to see what is actually going on there. I am sure when Curly had it there were some kind of french windows there. Edited to mention: I think Violet has some kind of strange secret, can't quite work out what it is yet though. maxine 11-01-2005, 09:58 AM Loved Shelley's idea last night of having one body for sitting at home, stuffing food and another, slim one, one for going out! I hope that's the last we see of Vince. I really didn't like that bullying of Roy story line. It was horrible when they were all laughing at him in the caff. :mad2: And I can't remember the name of the Webster girl who he kicked out, but she was nasty last night too. And as for Kevin, talk about ungracious when Roy was trying to apologise. Once again Charlie saves the day. Btw can someone please exlain the relationship between Ken, Mike and Scottish Adam? Anyway she was killed in a car accident and I think both Ken & Mike got joint custody. I thought Kevin was extremely off with Roy last night, yeah Roy told Sawphie and Rawsie off but he did apologise. With parents like Kevin & Sally, no wonder Sawphie has severe attitude. I felt awful when they were all laughing at Roy in the cafe, and even though I can't stand the way Charlie treats Shelly (although she only has herself to blame), I was glad that he showed Vince the door and stuck up for Roy. It was horrible to see Roy being bullied and I don't think this is the end of the story-line and he gets all depressed again, but isn't he a wonderful actor? I have seen in a chat-show, can't remember which one and he was totally different, he is just brilliant! maxine 11-01-2005, 10:07 AM Thanks for the info about Adam, Bella. And, yeah, agree about the guy who plays Roy. ils 11-01-2005, 10:14 AM Roy and Hayley are my favourite characters.... I have seen in a chat-show, can't remember which one and he was totally different, he is just brilliant! I found the bullying of Roy really disturbing, but I suppose it goes to show how good the actors are. Ive often thought that Roy Cropper deserves a bit more recognition in the TV Awards, but if you're not 30 and goodlooking or 8 and cute, you dont get a look in. Ive seen him on a chatshow too and he is quite the extrovert. Superb character, and beautifully played by the actor. Oh and I agree about Charlie and Shelley. If a bloke gave me gym membership and hinted that I could "improve meself", firstly Id show him a mirror and say, "sort your bloody self out first" and then show him the door ! Flip 12-01-2005, 02:35 PM Max - Susan Barlow [Peter's twin and Adam's Mum] was married to Mike Baldwin for a while. Bob 15-01-2005, 01:25 PM Can some kind soul please give me a run down on everything that happened in Corrie this week as I have not seen any of it and thought I might try fiddle about with the naf ariel and watch the omnibus today only there is no omnibus :mad2: Thank you in advance  (you have to do it now) Bob 16-01-2005, 07:19 PM Please help! :) I tried to watch Corrie tonight by doing a Mr Bean in front of the TV. I haven't seen it all last week. I caught snippets tonight, but it was still too fuzzy to make out how much Sally had been paid on that cheque. So questions Had her and Mr smarmy done anything together before last night? Has anything else good happened? I've seen quite a few posts mentioning Roy and bullying, can anyone give a brief update. I saw up to a week last Friday. Roy was upset cos that builder bloke had been smoking and messing up his cafe in general, Roy wasn't admitting to Hayley what was wrong. That's all I can remember  Eternity 16-01-2005, 07:38 PM http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partid=92 Go there Bob and read to your hearts content, it gives an episode blow by blow account going back as far as you want! Is she just doing it for the family or does she genuinely want to get into Ian's kecks? A big fat EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! Im sorry, but does anyone else fall in to convulsive laughter when Ian tells Sally she is a beautiful intelligent woman?!?!?!?!?! His missis is a babe compared to drudgy Sally Webster!!! and another thing......£2500.00 as a months salary and bonus - I WANT THAT JOB NOW!!!!!! Isis 17-01-2005, 09:59 AM However, the storyline is a good one, as there are a lot of very clever control freaks out there, and just maybe some women will recognise that they too are being manipulated in this way and do something about it, from watching Corrie. Tell me about it Pan, my 2 sisters havent spoken for over a year - all because of the bloke my middle sis is mixed up with, little sis is a bit like me and very vocal about her opinions and has said what she thinks about it all - to the point that she got sacked by my other sis (she has a hair salon) just before I moved down here..... I have never liked him and I have also been very vocal about it, only problem is, he twists everything and says its because I have taken sides - which is rubbish - he is a dirty, filty, drug dealer who beats women up - he supplies half of Warwickshire with drugs, all hidden behind his "legit businesses", when I know they are the biggest "launderettes" in the Midlands...... but she says I am making it all up - DURRRRRRRR!! WHY would I do that?!?!!? Thinking about it - he is a cross between Charlie and Andy Hunter!!!! so the b@st@rd has done a Charlie on her, and convinced my middle sis that WE are the ones wrong, that we must hate her and be jealous of her........ trouble is, if she believes us, then the last 4 years with him are a lie, and she isnt ready to hear all that yet, because unfortunately, she loves him!! Flip 17-01-2005, 10:18 AM Oh crikey Queeenie - what a sad tale. Trouble is your sis is doing a Shelley - being taken in by a scum bag - cos she thinks she loves him. And you and your other sis are the messengers of gloom - and age old age old - the messenger is always shot!! [well metaphorically speaking]. She will hopefully waken up to his ways - and get her life back on track - she probably really does know - but just won't admit it. Pride or stubborness or fear? Bob - I know Eternity has answered your questions about the summary of last week - but anything else just ask? I don't find Sally doing the dirty with the slimeball Ian so surprising, think what an absolute snob she is, always wanting more, the best, and Kevin is just awful, and boring. Crystal Lights 17-01-2005, 10:33 AM I lurve Corrie but am very disappointed with the Sally/Ian story line - I did not need to see Sally grab Ian in a fit of passion and start mauling the face off him last night ... esp after eating a heavy dinner ...it was pukesome!! seriously this is the most anal, boring, holier than thou character on the street surcoming to a passionate affair purleassssse!! And Ias for Ian .... that man has about as much sex appeal as a dripping wet lettuce... Didn't sally have an affair with Gregg les's cute half son before?? Isn't this just reshashing old scripts??? Come on corrie script writers you can do better!! MariaRob 17-01-2005, 10:55 AM Totally agree Crystal Lights. At first I had admiration for Sally the way she was handling Ian, who basically is a predator and using his position to blackmail her. Then all of a sudden she backtracked completely and is going to drop her drawers yet again. Couldn’t we have had a different outcome? Also if she had stuck to her guns I doubt if he would have sacked her, not only could she have had him for sexual harassment, his wife would have found out and created hell. It’s all a bit daft. jaycee 17-01-2005, 08:00 PM Oh I am so glad it's not just me................when he shrugged off his jacket tonight & said 'I assume you'll be staying late', I nearly lost my tea. Critique 18-01-2005, 11:22 AM Honestly, I think they are made for each other. Both nasty slimeballs. I just hope we don't have to go through the Sally/Kevin breaking up thing again - I think I would have to switch off. No wonder Sawphie is rebelling - with a mother like Sally I am surprised that she isn't totally off the rails. Beautiful? Intelligent?   Bella 19-01-2005, 02:47 PM Oh Gawd, I don't know who is the worst slimeball in Corrie - Charlie, Ian, Martin, Les.........the list goes on! I can't believe that Sally is practically selling herself to her boss. Ugh, and just what is she going to do when Ian ups the stakes, she has risked everything for what? The real-life Sally lives near one of our friends and she says she is totally different to the Corrie Sally and is a lovely person. Bob 03-02-2005, 09:09 PM Has everyone gone off corrie then?! here's a spoiler to spice things up. Don't know how much of this it true (if any) scroll down to read ............... ............... katy kills her Dad Tommy, then kills herself! :excl:  oh and Sally finds condoms in Rosie's school bag! ils 03-02-2005, 09:16 PM Not at all Bob - I never miss an episode, as I either tape it or watch the repeats on ITV2.... I have heard the bit about Katy and her dad but not about Rosie. So I would say it is probably true! Critique 03-02-2005, 10:11 PM The only storyline that interests me at the moment is the Charlie/Shelley one. As far as I am concerned, all the rest is just padding. I just can't wait to see what happens when it finally gets through to Shelley that Charlie isn't her darling :) I find that with all the soaps though, there always seems to be one storyline that interests me and the rest is just plain stupid. I get really irritable when they keep flicking off to something else. Does anyone else think they are doing it more and more now. What I mean is you see a few minutes interaction with, say, Charlie and Shelley and just when they say something interesting and you want to know the reaction, they flick over to blooming Rawsie and Sawphie and then flick back afterwards! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Isis 04-02-2005, 08:35 AM oh and Sally finds condoms in Rosie's school bag! AND I hear that the condom was stolen by Raaaawsieeeeeeeeeee from Sallys handbag.......explain THAT to Kevin then Sal!!!!!! Bella 04-02-2005, 08:59 AM AND I hear that the condom was stolen by Raaaawsieeeeeeeeeee from Sallys handbag.......explain THAT to Kevin then Sal!!!!!! I had heard that storyline and that Tommy grills Sally about it. I knew that Katy was leaving but didn't realise it was going to be in such a dramatic end! I am so glad that Tommy is going though, he is just a loud-mouth bully who is in need of anger management! I love the Goth storyline, Craig and Rosie (or is it Sophie, I can't remember which is which) crack me up, Craig is just brilliant! The only thing that annoys me Tommy and Angela trying to be funny about it - they are SO NOT!!! The other storyline that is boring me to tears is the Maria/Tyrone - haven't we had this before with Curly and Raquel? It is so utterly boring and downright depressing! Why on earth would a young, outgoing, flirty girl like Maria want to get married to Tyrone so quickly? She has her whole life ahead of her but she settles for Tyrone because he is reliable. Tyrone, God love him but he is only going to get his heart broken like Curly did. Move on please!! Critique 04-02-2005, 09:46 AM Yeah Bella - just how much mileage can they get from the Maria/Tyrone storyline. I have lost count of the time she has broken his heart and we all know it's going to happen again (well I would put money on it). If Tyrone was just not that good to look at it wouldn't be so bad but he isn't quite the full shilling either is he. No looks, no personality, no brain. What are we meant to believe she sees in him. Do you think Nick will come back and do a "The Graduate" and run off with her at the altar  MariaRob 04-02-2005, 12:34 PM I head that Katie stabs Tommy to death and then gets killed in a car crash. Cheerful stuff! I am not sorry Katie is being written out, she has got to be one of the most annoying characters ever! Those silly pig tails - strewth! I like Angela though and think she has fitted in, shame they are all set to exit. Bella 04-02-2005, 02:17 PM Even Craig the Goth!! Bella 04-02-2005, 05:38 PM I heard Warren is being written out and Ciaran. I heard that too, Max. No surprises though really as both them are pretty much non-identities! Warren is even a worse actor than Nick!!! Wee Chesney is just the bestest actor, he will be heartbroken when he finds out his mum has sold Schmeichel for £100 and a red jacket! I wouldn't like to be Sally when Mrs Ian (can't remember her name) finds out, she is a scary woman! Bonsai 08-03-2005, 10:00 AM Im really enjoying the 'Killer Corrie' storyline right now, but the appearance of Ray Langton has left me a bit cold. because of Tracey's manner all the time, i have no warmth or feelings towards her - so her feeling angry at her fathers reappearance means nothing to me  I thought last nights episode was good, although Mr.B came home 1/2 way through and he thought the acting was diabolical :shocking: Still, you cant please everyone can you !! Ray Langton doesnt seem to have altered at all either  Sorry I beg to differ, you can still see its him but he left the Street a young man, a bit of a Lothario, and has returned an old man. His bouffant 70s haircut has given away to thin balding locks. Even his voice seems high pitched and different. He is still a good character tho. As for Dierdire's crusty skin, didnt the actress who plays her suffer from cancer a while back? As for her voice - its all them fags what done it. Anne Kirkbride was actually quite a stunna in her youth. Bella 08-03-2005, 11:15 AM I can't really remember Ray Langton but I do remember a wall collapsing on Tracey when she was a baby, maybe that can explain her behaviour! She is fawning all over that no good, good for nothing, layabout Ray Langton - he really creeps me out. Critique 15-03-2005, 09:41 AM Am I the only one who can't stand Chesney? Neither the actor nor the character. I know he's only a kid but the other child actors on there are far more realistic than our Chesney. He's got overacting down to a fine art. It's like someone says to him "do happy" and he smiles, "do sad" and he reacts accordingly but it's so "pantomime". He's such a manipulative character too that I can't really feel sympathy for him - he just gets on my nerves. Sorry to all Chesney fans  Poor old "Dreary". She acts her little heart out but all I do is wait for her eyes to literally pop out and the veins on her neck to burst - it's scary. Did anyone see the actor who plays Sally's bit on the side? Flip 20-04-2005, 08:28 AM I haven't watched this for ages. Try a week on Wednesday - Katie dies tonight. Angela is still in prison and Craig is with his Grandad. They didn't own the house, it was part of the witness protection scheme - and therefore likely to be council owned - so with any luck a new family will move in forthwith!! Corrie have done themselves no favours with this storyline IMO. All of the tabloid critics have been complaining that its just dragged on for too long and that the acting has been hammy to say the least. The fact that she finally carks it tonight will make my day ! dab 20-04-2005, 06:45 PM Apparently her ghost is going to haunt the garage. They're going to have a permanently glistening bloodstain that the mechanics try to convince themselves is an oil patch, disappearing wrenches, determined wailing late at night and plagues of creeping hair scrunchies. The Censor 20-04-2005, 07:00 PM Well, we all know who's the culprit here, and it's not anyone in the Harris Family. It's that beotch Sally, if she wasn't having that affair then none of this would have happened - think about it! :shocking: Bob 20-04-2005, 08:31 PM I think the Harris house still belongs to the doctor (Joshua's dad) wonder if he'll make an appearance some time. I can't believe that Charlie would buy the pub with Shelley, not unless he knew that it was all going to fall through (do you think he got hold of the script?) It just doesn't fit his character, he normally doesn't let Shelly make any desicions or get what she really wants. Fred's been drinking the water from the burst pipe or whatever! Wonder what he'll come down with  Also I was looking at young craig tonight at the hospital and in between going to see his mum in prison and his dying sister in hospital, he found the time to go put eye liner on :shocking: Dolores 20-04-2005, 09:29 PM I think the Harris house still belongs to the doctor (Joshua's dad) wonder if he'll make an appearance some time. My word I'd forgotten all about that - can't remember what the dr looked like though. Also I was looking at young craig tonight at the hospital and in between going to see his mum in prison and his dying sister in hospital, he found the time to go put eye liner on :shocking: he's a slave to his mascarra that boy! ils 20-04-2005, 09:33 PM It looks like Grandad is moving in with Craig for the time being! maxine 21-04-2005, 10:53 AM Ding dong the witch is dead! Thank goodness for a bit of light relief last night with Fred's frequent trips to the toilet. Well, we all know who's the culprit here, and it's not anyone in the Harris Family. Maybe it's a control thing, because it would be his pub really and he could kick Shelley out if she annoyed him by erm... being human or something. PJ 21-04-2005, 09:18 PM Dunno if this has been mentioned here before, but regarding the "identical twins" that work in the knicker factory - what is this all about? are they there for a reason or just to add a bit of "comic relief"? Personally, I find them about as a funny as a hiatus hernia. maxine 22-04-2005, 06:50 AM Dunno if this has been mentioned here before, but regarding the "identical twins" that work in the knicker factory - what is this all about? are they there for a reason or just to add a bit of "comic relief"? Looks like Tracey and Steve are gonna end up together....not sure if I am pleased about this or not....im warming to her at last, even though she isnt nice  The TWINS............there is NO point to them is there - apart from making the others look good......
