Did you see on the news tonight about this "sudan dye" that is in some foods and is harmful. Apparently it is carcinogenic.
Now this stuff is supposedly banned in the UK, but yet it still manages to get into some foods.
How on earth can we look at the labels on food and fully assess what is in them. I think it is terrible.
Well this sudan dye is a red dye that has been found in some chilli powder that has somehow got into major supermarket chain food.
Most of the food is the ready prepared food, and meat pies and stuff like that.
I'm so glad I don't buy any of that pre-cooked stuff.
here's a list of the foods and supermarkets that it has affected

The supermarkets are recalling all the food stuff and apparently you should get a full refund.
My main point is that you really have no idea what goes into the food you buy from a supermarket unless you know your e numbers and additive numbers.
