My money is on the dark skinned guy... can't remember his name. The one who took the early morning phone call and didn't tell the girls!

I really can't see any of the girls winning - although maybe the blonde estate agent has an outside chance.

I cant see any of the girls winning to be honest and it galls me to say it!!!!! Although I agree with you Haydon about Miranda the blonde one! I didnt take to Lyndsey last night, and was so pleased that she got the boot!

Im not sure about the lads yet, the black guy Timothy has caught my attention and Raj the team leader from last nights did well too - I cant STAND Matthew, he is vile, the sooner he goes the better the arrogant rude man, when I was watching last night I kept thinking he reminded me of someone, and it suddenly dawned on me who........I think he may be John McCrirricks secret luuuuuurve child   Out of the lads the only other one I have noticed is the blagger "i can sell sand to the arabs and coals to newcastle" who is a bit too full of himself to me, and a little insincere........

The BEEB have got a page set up about it - here is the link http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/ - its the only way I can remember their names, im off for a better nose now :D

I laughed out loud at this|!! Yes he is pretty full of himself and arrogant, probably cos he is about 7 ft tall. The way he was reading his book yesterday while the others were trying to talk tactics, hope he gets booted out pretty quickly. I like the cheeky wide boy - the one who was going on about all the make up the girls wore (and they are sure caked in it). I think he is dead cute and hope he is the winner, although I will probably change my mind next week!

I like the cheeky wide boy too Maria!

He is definitely the best sales person there - he was fab at the flowers task and he is really likeable.

Not so sure about the girls....someone should give them a few tips on how to dress as a high flying exec - they look desperate!!

when i saw blondies high white wedge sandels she wore with her formal jacket skirt suit... i was like OMG!!!!! talk about major fashion faux pas!!!
They come across as really bitchy too all they can do is bitch and moan at whose ever the team lead and that gives us working girlies a really bad name!!!

i still dont have a total fave yet but i'll keep watching!!

Ohhhh im glad its not just me that thought this lot have got NO IDEA how to dress in the City.....im just a country hick, but I know darn well if I was going to be on National TV in a show like this I would have popped and bought myself a small but versitile "working wardrobe" a couple of suits with trousers and one with a skirt that I would mix and match and half a dozen or so tops to wear under........then a couple of pairs of comfy stylish shoes and a decent handbag!

It was the white pinstripe suite that sulky Adele had on - has she not got a mirror?!?!?

The lads (except Matthew) look so suave and professional in their suits!

OMG YES - what's with the girls wardrobes alrighty - what a raggle taggle bunch!!

The blonde one is prob the one I would hire out of the women, and a toss up between the tosser wide boy Paul {?} - who does make me smile tho - and Timothy....

roll on 9 p.m.!

I think Saira might be in with a chance - Sir Alan must have liked her as she didn't get sacked the first week even though she was project manager.

We haven't seen nearly so much of the boys - they have worked well as a team, but that may be because they are all mediocre. Timothy, the black guy, stands out.

I only saw it for the first time last week so don't know their names yet, but on first impressions I'd be surprised if it wasn't one of the boys that won. They are sharper, look better and seem to be able to function as a team better, they'll also speak up if they have a preoblem with one of the others, whereas the girls last week said very little and then stitched Lynsey up at the end (mind you, she deserved it really!)

Looking forward to tonight as they have split the teams and mixed the girls and boys up for this one :)

There was an interesting interview with Alan Sugar about the programme on Radio Five Live - you can hear it here:-

winner has to be either James or Miriam (altho Sebastian and Ben are dark horses :ninja: )
Hmmm...reckon Miriam so far.....

Flip
24-03-2005, 07:47 AM
Yup Spooks I was thinking Miriam, I like her, she is cool, focused, intelligent and I just like her. She looked fabulous in the white dress last night too [her prize!].

Yes, Miriam's strong. My money is on her, Sebastian and Ben to be the final three. They each do whatever needs doing with quiet efficiency and some personal style.

I understand Alan Sugar's appreciation of the "street smarts" sales people (ie Saira and Paul), but he must be getting frustrated with their inability to produce the goods. Talking the talk is fine as long as you really can walk the walk.

At the beginning I thought James would be a front runner, but over recent weeks I've noticed in him a disconcerting similarity to Tony Blair when he comes under pressure. :shocking: Sorry, James.

LOL Dab - What does James do that reminds you of Bliar?

I missed a few episodes but agree with the general consensus that the winner will come from James, Miriam, Ben or Sebastian.

I think it will come down to personality in the final. If they're going to be working directly for Sir A, then he's going to pick the person with whom he feels he has most in common.

If you put the two bull****ters Paul and Saira to one side, the winner has to be James. I think A Sugar is going to reject P & S, her because she is mostly talk, him because of his temper. James wins it.

I have to say I like James aswell SF. On first impressions I found him irritating and slightly pompous but after 8 weeks (I missed the first episode) I've really warmed to him and he seems to be the most capable and flexible of the bunch. The more i see him the more I like him, whereas with Paul the more I see him the more i see through him. I will be sorely disappointed if Sir Alan chooses him as it will show very poor judgement imho.

Of course I'm not worth £700 million so what do I know!!

Flip

I actually think James is too nice for the Sugar Empire, not that Miriam is not nice but she is a female and my money is still on her.

I think being in the firing line last week - will buck her up to be a bit more in your face. Alan seems to favour more up front 'savvy' characters - I think Miriam has the cloth to fit if she just jazzes the frontice piece up a bit!!

I think Miriam might win, although I had to read the thread to remember her name!

Nonethelss she does well in every task and although she doesn't grab all your attention like the hideous Paul and Saira, there never seems to be any reason to fire her either.

I don't think Paul or Saira will win, because although Alan seems to have a bit of a liking for them, I think it will wear off. Saying that, I wouldn't mind if Saira won, but Paul is really beyond hideous!

Still Miriam and her unfeasibly large breasts.

dab

Yep, definitely Miriam for me.

I have to confess I haven't noticed anything unfeasibly large about her breasts though...

Oh Gawd, I hope you are right Haydon (if you meant Tim)......
Please don't let it be that gobby mare :mad2:

If AS takes her on, he's a world-class plonker (and if I was on his staff, I'd walk)

:bored:

I really should have put some money on Tim winning. Well done Tim - you came across as a really great guy - congratulations!

Andrea

I agree with you there Haydon.
I said a few weeks ago that I think he would win.
The right guy for the right job, me thinks.

Flip
04-05-2005, 10:15 PM
Oh I am delighted that Tim won - certainly out of the two he was by far the most appropriate. And give her her due, loudmouth Saira was a gracious loser - I did feel a bit sorry for her!

Did you see the programme afterwards?? When asked by Adrian Chiles [or is it Childs?] what are you going to do with your first paycheck - Tim said he was going to take his Mum away - she had always been there for him and he was going to pay her back for her love etc - a touching moment!

yes I thought so too Flip and it wasnt affected or largese was it? I think Mrs Tim should write a book on how to bring up a son to be a credit to his mum! Sir Alan if you're reading this and going to ask her to do it, just remember where you got the idea from!

Actually weren't all the others in Tims team very professional, he definately picked the best team there.

Have you learnt NOTHING over the last twelve weeks Andrea?!! How can any team without Paul on it be the best team?!
