What song makes you turn the radio or TV station over at the moment, because you hate it so much?

Mine at the moment is the latest one by J Lo. I can't even remember its name. All I know is its the worst song she's ever done, and should be ashamed of herself. :)

I must be getting old but on the days I listen to the radio and there is music I dont like I just turn it off without even enquiring what it is. I love good music, obviously my tastes etc, and i just eliminate the drivel from made up bands etc

Gwen Stefani and Eve, I love it! the song (or the chorus at least) is a rip off from a Fiddler on the roof number!

I can't stand any of that warbling R&B stuff, the songs that just meander round the octaves and have no direction to them. R&B with a beat, now that's different :)

That McFly song is quite appalling.

Though I expect lots will disagree, I hate all the Elvis stuff they are re-releasing at the moment. :bag:

It just sounds so outdated now - I'm sure it is only being bought by collectors.

Please may they not do the same thing with Cliff Richards.

Fee For All I declare you put that thought out and if they start releasing Cliff Richard stuff I shall blame you forever!

That McFly song is quite appalling. Im with you on this one Dol. It might be going to a good cause, but its a dirge, badly sung and badly sung by a bunch of hideous looking mingers too .......

well Pan, i didn't want to be so shallow as to mention their looks! but ye gods! is this what teenage girls have on their walls? they wont be disappointed in life will they? not like the Donny Osmond generation. We KNEW we'd never find anyone that divine. But McFly boys are 10 a penny (if you live in a neighbour where the ugly stick has been at work!!).

i hate all songs that only eva use one beat

OR songs which take about 58 minutes to finsh

OR songs where the main singer has had 24 wives (or husbands), and has taken about 100 tonnes of weed in his (or her) life

Theyre mingers !!!!!!!!! :wink2:  LOL........ and I still hate the song.

The Gwen Stefani song has grown on me hugely, but if I see another Elvis Presley record "in at number two" in the charts, Ill scream.

I well and truly hate most songs at the moment. I hate the way society is in this, the year 2005. I hate mobile phones, boy bands, girl bands, stupid invented words such as chav and bling!

I hate organic foods, people who turn away the moment you are about to pass them (so that they can concentrate on that stone on the floor), I hate baboons (always have though), the Labour Party, I hate politics 'cos it fails to satisfy the masses, I hate the way Ken Bigley was killed, and i hate the way they're not getting anywhere in Iraq, despite people back home being forced to contribute their earnings to the "cause", I hate the reluctance of the BBC or C4 to show re-runs of Dallas, Entertainment USA, and Knight Rider....

......there is some good music being produced today, don't get me wrong - but i just think it would be better for all concerned if we were transported back to the 1980's.......somebody hurry the ****** up and invent that time machine....

LOve the Gwen Stefani song too and I am absolutely loving Is this the way to Amarillo - we were sha-la-laing in the car all day yesterday! It is fab!!

Cannot stand garage, rap music, sorry I just don't get it! I must be getting old but to me it is just too much noise and not much sense.

Awww, the McFly boys ain't all that bad, my 6 year old loves them plus at least they are not relying on their looks to get them places and at least they play instruments which is more than can be said for some bands out there....mentioning no names............cough.... Girls Aloud, Pondlife, etc, etc

Youre not in a very happy place at the moment are you Woody?

As for bring back the 80's, I thought it said 90's and was sort of nodding in agreement, but then I read it properly  ...........have a word!!!!!!! I cant think of a single top ten hit, off the top of my head, that I actually liked from the 80's .......

but the 90's bought us some amazing BANDS, you know, people who actually PLAY instruments and write music - talent!!!! And I think that at last, we are getting to hear some great NEW bands too - Keane, Franz Fedinand, Snow Patrol, Athlete to name just a few........

I really dislike any whinging whining hip hop dirge........that "Hush" is doing my head in now - I dont know who sings it

I agree with you here Waylander, can't stand all the rubbish boy bands and mass produced music.

And as for the eighties (sorry Queeenie, oops Isis) I've just recently bought an album called "12inch/80's" and it is brilliant.
It's got all the 12" records (well not all of them) from the 80's era and it certainly brings back some good memories. But the thing is it's not all the rubbish records from the 80's, it's got some really good songs on there. Ie...Siouxsie, Bahaus, Spandau Ballet, to cut a long story short, Style council, Fun Boy Three and one of my favourites, Hipsway: The honeythief.
Love it. :D
