View Full Version : Brain Dump!
Coastie 25-03-2005, 04:03 AM Something going round in your head....
You want to post it but it doesn't warrant a thread.....
You need to get it off your mind.....
But it makes no sense of any kind....
Or is it a minute of ranting or rhyme....
And not to post it would be a crime....
Well this is the thread just for you....
To brain dump mind fog and schmoo.... :pooh:
Coastie 25-03-2005, 04:34 AM And so after scraping the remains of Fee's cat from the interior of the microwave and avoiding the hot water splash from the water boiler Coastie ventures back into a fairly empty forum (Fee is here) and twiddles her thumbs......
Fee For All 25-03-2005, 04:46 AM ...and Fee has visions of a heavy Channel fog from all the reported 'pooting'...
Coastie 25-03-2005, 05:13 AM Alllllll by myself.....

So that's what happened to Coasties name then
I need to ask a question that doesn't warrent a whole thread - yesterday I drove past a weir that I drive past a lot. I had never ever thought of its purpose but yesterday I did.
Now I need to know the function of a weir???
Help!!

Am I going round in your head Coastie???
Do you want to dump me???
What does it all mean???
PS I don't know what a weir does either, does it move the water along in an orderly manner??

:ninja:
thanks oh oracle - but do tell me then why do some weirs have gullies built into them?? No reason for asking I am just nosey and need to know.
Fee For All 25-03-2005, 04:14 PM What are gullies when they are built into weirs?
What are gullies when they are built into weirs?
LOL Fee - they are gaps in the weir. I wish I could draw one for you - but if you imagine a straight line, say 12 inches long, then at about 5 inches there is an inch gap. Now make the line a weir and the gap becomes a gully. Of course in RL they are much bigger than an inch ... but I guess you knew that!
Coastie 25-03-2005, 06:52 PM Am I going round in your head Coastie??? No I'm just attention seeking!
Do you want to dump me??? Well......I do have a totty of a boss man to fulfill my fantasys now and to be honest you were never really my type....you're a woman!
What does it all mean??? When all else fails I can call on you!
PS I don't know what a weir does either, does it move the water along in an orderly manner?? I could tell you but then I would have to shoot you!

Coastie 25-03-2005, 09:53 PM Yesterday I decided to start doing 20 sit ups a day.....I used to do 50 without so much as a breath but am a little out of practice......this along with my new 5 a day and generally healthier eating routine is my thing at the mo.....
It will all go to rats when I receive numerous easter eggs over the weekend but I am hoping to counter that by the fact I have largely resisted chocolate for the last three weeks....I've had one or two bits and a couple of doughnuts but generally am finding that my apitite is shrinking and I'm enjoying being a few pounds lighter in the process....
Well done me! :)

I have just been invited to go and see a 20kg easter egg handmade in the 4seasons hotel. I declined because I am not a chocolate fan. only realised this tonight, approaching easter so I am feeling good. I can resist the chocolate temptation. WOO HOOO!
Coastie 26-03-2005, 02:58 AM Not fair...If there is chocolate in my house it has to be consumed at the fastest possible rate....I cannot resist chocolate if I know it's there....apple doughnuts have the same effect! :(
this along with my new 5 a day and generally healthier eating routine is my thing at the mo.....
Five what? Pints! This sounds like my sort of routine. Can I join you?
Congrats on losing the pounds BTW.
I've decided I don't actually need my brain today, (never do) so when I saw the title of this thread, I was thrilled. I've always wanted somewhere to dump my brain as it takes up a lot of room in my head and is heavy to carry around all the time. Also I want to send the cleaners in to do a spring clean, open up the ears and air it out.
So I hope it's ok to leave it here and I'll pick it up later.
http://www.vision.caltech.edu/feifeili/101_ObjectCategories/brain/image_0046.jpg
Can I have a ticket for it please, I don't want it to get mixed up with someone else's.
Excellent idea Noxy, I won't be needed mine much today either after the good pickling I gave it last night.
It won't take up too much room as I only have half of one.

tonee 27-03-2005, 10:16 PM Right or wrong thread but has anyone else noticed that there is always someone reading the Abi Titmuss thread - at least whenever I come on line. The mind boggles.

 Who's Abi Titmuss?
Not sure, but she's left her brain over there...look you can just see it if you use these :photo: .
tonee 28-03-2005, 08:53 AM  Who's Abi Titmuss?
he is the ex girlfriend of John Leslie, ex nurse, involved in threesomes and now on tv introducing a pon channel. Blonde, bust, sexual experimenter and resident thread on SO!

Didn't you know PJ?
At one time it was the most viewed thread in the history of SO! for all we know it still might be!
I think the connection with Survivor Online is John Leslie!
Ceridwen 28-03-2005, 11:36 AM Yeah what WAS it with the Abi Titmuss thing....is Abi Titmuss some kind of secret religious leader, and there's a bizarre cult of Abi Titmuss worshippers in a darkened basement somewhere.....?

I think it was cos she was in a reality tv prog - was it Hell's Kitchen?

I thought it was of the sex scandel John Leslie was in, but you might be right Dol, I really don't take much notice of these things...
I don't think we need to add to it as we are already on page 2 of google for Abi Titmus, we could be inundated with shallow men looking for naked porn pics of her, but on the other hand :wink2:
Ceridwen 28-03-2005, 12:08 PM Makes a change from shallow women preying on young lads on public forums....:whistling:

Ceridwen, I will have you know that I am nobody's "piece"!
Dolores 28-03-2005, 12:13 PM I've just noticed that Abi Titmuss thread is on printable view - is someone actually printing those pages out? are they raunchy enough to end up all stuck together in a gooey mess next to the tissues later this afternoon?

On this forum it was in fact Claire
tonee 29-03-2005, 06:42 AM As I was playing the link and associated Tom and Jerry, it reminds me of the cartoon which I watched regularly growing up. The funny thing about it is, I have 7 brothers and sisters, all older than me, and now, as adults when Tom and Jerry is on, we all stop what we are doing to watch. Have we been brainwashed or what? Does anyone else notice this with their families?
Coastie 29-03-2005, 12:36 PM The phantom Abi Titmus cyber-stalker is ofetn on during the early hours of the morning as well I have you know!

I don't know PJ! but if that f***ing little yellow bird comes on one more time chirpping away I shall screeeeeeaaaaaaaammmmm until I'm sick!
What's more is that I hate myself for finding the tune catchy!
Does anyone download these ring tones. it's far too complicated for me and my niece got ripped off by one of the companies that do it and had to change her sim card cos they kept sending her loads and loads of texts and charging her for them even after she told them to stop doing it. Apparently there's nothing illegal about doing that.

Well just wanted to get that off me chest

thank you so much on that message, i had no idea i had reached a marker no of posts. just like my birthday, reached 40, had a mid life crisis all week, a few more grey (or as the hairdresser calls them white hairs!!) hairs and i am in a collective heap, need to head to the bar for resuscitation....

I on the other hand will be chilling, going to a 30th party and bonding with Tom Cruise....
Still it's my butt on the line the following weekend...I'll be in charge with almost as much going on and next to no-one to help...everyone is going sick on our watch and not just for a day or two! Eeeek! or as Alex Furgesun would say (according to the new Oxford Dictionary) - Squeaky-bum time!
Andrea 13-06-2005, 09:47 PM Ok this is all about washing up:w00t:
I have my little routine of washing up.
Glasses and cups first, dishes and plates next.
Then I put in all the cutlery to be washed, spoons, forks, ladles, sharp knives, whatever I have used.
Now when I put my hand into the sink to pick an item of cutlery up, why do I always pick up my big chopping knife first?
Physically speaking it is the heaviest item, so shouldn't it drop immediately to the bottom of the sink and all the small knives and forks be at the top?
I'm baffled:huh:
Marmoset 13-06-2005, 10:21 PM Easy Andrea, you just instinctively go for the big chopper!
seriously though, maybe you subconsciously go for that first because you are getting a potentially dangerous item out of the way first.

Coastie 14-06-2005, 05:34 AM Something like that Doll freaks the heck out of me Andrea  Don't like that sort of thing at all!
Washing up...hmmm....I have a partucularly obsessive disorder type thing when it comes to this house hold chore...
First the draining board has to be cleared completely!
I never put anything in the bowl....
I start with the glasses as the bowl is filling with hot water so I can rinse them of the soap to reduce discolouration.
I then take each bit of cutlery and wash it seperately...
Move onto the plates...big to small to aid stacking in rack..
Then bowls small to big...again to aid rack stacking...
Next pots n pans n trays...least mucky first (always doing any mash potato typoe pot last as the potatoey bits make the water schmooey)
I hate it when people put stuff in the bowl and I have to reach in for it...I am a freak I know
I don't know why you lot just don't get yourselves a dishwasher, problem solved :ninja:
