Yeah England 5 - 1 Azerbaijan (sp?)

Easy peasy, but I reckon we could see a repeat of Stuart Pearce against San Marino all those years ago.

Poland beat em 8-0 on Saturday, England should really do better than 3, but I wouldn't put a draw past Sven. :ranting:

what was the final score?
It was 2-0 when I last saw, but had to put children to bed, so didn't see the end of it.

It finished 2 - 0 Andrea, so all our guesses were rubbish!

Am increasingly impressed with Joe Cole!

And for all the flack Beckham has been getting I still think he should remain team captain....afterall at least he works hard for his country!

Owen...Owen...Owen....it just didn't want to happen foir him did it....I think a few sessions working on headers is on the cards for the young man!

Still really don't like Rooney...

Rooney, Beckham and Joe Cole were easily our best players on the night. I think our team is really good, but I just really want Owen to find top form again for England. It doesn't help him being on the bench for Real Madrid all the time!

I think England looked good last night but they were only playing against a little tin pot team so it really means nothing! I think the real test of how good they are will be when they play the big boys!

I think Rooney is a good player but I really don't like his attitude, he is just too cockey for his own good.

I know what you mean but he is only 18, and he is already one of the best players in the world. I think it's really exciting that he is English!!!

He is so skillful, and strong, nobody can ever muscle him off the ball, did you see it last night when he got through the box and gifted owen a chance - so strong!

I'm just worried he will go the same way as other great players. All this adulation is not good for a young man of his age, it could go to his head (as it seems to have already) and he will be burnt out by his mid 20's.

It seems we always do great in the qualifiers, but when we get into tournaments and the pressure is really put on, England just seem to lose it time and time again.

Rooney I consider to be a walking time bomb. He really does need to control himself more, although he has done great the last couple of games.
