G4 kick off - The Circle of Life, Jonathon main vocals.

I'm sorry I just don't get these guys anymore, nice as they are.

Hasn't the one with eyebrows lost loads of weight!!!

Rowetta...MaCarthey Park. Again, she sung it well but her deep voice needs another avenue. Maybe they should Oddesy singles, their lead had an amazing deep voice. Didn't swing my can.

Tabby...must say, very good. I enjoyed the song and his performance.

VWS...a lot better than last week, and they looked great. But to me they just seem to shout. In a church (where they met) they would be great. But I really havnt' seen much growth here. A tad disappointed.

Cassie....Very suprised. Thought she looked and sang great. Well done.

Oh god, really nervous for steve now...he's really got to pull it out the bag.

COME ON MY BOY :boxing: and u

Steve; well he's won my vote. I thought he sang that song well and I want him right NOW!!

Elder son voted for VWS

I didn't really like Tabby tonight. Thing is, I really like the song he sang, but Steve Tyler's voice is difficult for most other guys to match. It's quite high and coarse, and although Tabby got the coarseness, the pitch was wrong and he just sounded flat when he tried to do it.

Thought Cassie was good. Liked Rowetta and Voices with Soul. Steve was very fine indeed.

G4 - never really liked them much. They're nice 'an all, but their singing bores me rigid. It was a novelty at first, but now its just.....dull.

Mmm, going off Steve, I am afraid. Thought he done well with the song, but *shock* *horror* I agree with Louis I would have liked to have seen Steve dress up a bit and I don't like the way he handles the comments from the judges. I think Steve could possibly find himself in the bottom and I think Cassie maybe there too.

Sharon Osborne - pot - kettle - black - calling Steve a one trick pony, hasn't Tabby sung nothing but rock songs!! I didn't like Tabby tonight at all, and I thought the bit before showing with his son is a bit like emotional blackmail, tugging on the heartstrings. Sorry Tabby but you are boring me now. :sleepy:

Cassie - she just doesn't have the X-Factor if she isn't voted off this week, she will definitely go next week.

VWS - thought they were really good this week, they really got into the song

Rowetta - I personally thought she was great and I really enjoyed her song.

G4 - Well, of course they were better than last week, they really could not have got any worse, but they were really good this week.

Steve or Cassie to go.............I think........

Well, I see your comment about steves reaction to the judges..I thought he should start putting on a braver face too. But I'm afraid I have bypassed the unbiased critisism of him, I just fancy the pants and I can't help it.

My objectivity remains with the rest.

Who I think would be in the bottom two are:

G4 and VWS

who I think the public will vote is:

WWS & G4

Oh its the same!!

Steve's reaction was a bit like a spoilt child. Karen I am so glad that someone agreed with me about Tabby, I was sure that Simon (at least) and Louis would have said something about his performance. It seriously lacked something and yes, I think it may have been because Steve Tyler really made that his song. Tabby will be safe though, he has a huge fan base, but he still needs a band. :)

I find that I am deeply bored by the tedious choice of songs. Every single show of this ilk has used pretty much the same catalogue for the contestants to sing. I swear that if I have to hear one more wanabee sing 'Hero' I will spit.

Also bored by the faux tension between announcing who is in the bottom two and the cutting to ads.

In fact, bored, full stop.

I wish they would have themed weeks like Pop Idol, I think it would then seperate the men from the boys so to speak!

Tonight I thought G4 would go!!!

Voices with Soul - I thought were really good tonight, I really enjoyed their performance.

G4 - I'm bored with them but they did sing Circle of Life ok

Steve - I thought he sounded good, but the odd smile whilst he was singing it put me off. I agree with Bella about him acting like a spoilt child at the comments and I did think he should have dressed up abit, he looked far to casual

Cassie - She sang the song very well but I agree with Simon that the song was a little old for her!

Rowetta - One one word - Fantastic

Tabby - I thought he was ok but not brilliant...

VOR, you're absolutely right, but I still enjoy it.

Besides, it's not all bad no one has done 'Angels' yet or 'My heart will go on'!

Rowetta: I thought she did very well with McArthur Park and IMO it was an excellent song choice. It suited her voice because of the low controlled bits.
BTW I've always wondered what the daft lyrics were about. Does anyone know? PM me if it's reallllllly filthy

G4: Loved it. This is the sort of thing they do very well and Jonathan's voice is mind-blowing. They do rely on him a lot though and the camera focuses on him far more than the others because he's such a cutey. Articulate spokesman as well.

Steve: Not as good as last week. I like the quality of his voice, but his performance was just ok whencompared to the others acts.

Tabby: A great showman and he has the x-factor. More to the point young girls will vote for him.

VOS - Wow. Sensational. Definitely lived up to their name this week and I love the way these big ladies dominate the stage with their moves. Best performance of the night.

Cassie: I don't get it. Week after week she puts in adequate performances but nothing sensational and always gets through. The judges said she had got over her nerves. Odd, because when she sang, she sounded extremely nervous to me and there were a few bum notes in there too. The others have the x-factor to some extent or another, but Cassie is too young to stamp her personality on her performance and I think she's being totally overwhelmed by the whole experience.

In conclusion, (and I'm sayinig this from the pov of someone too lazy and tightfisted to vote), the voting public must have different aural senses to me, because I think the best two acts on the night were in the bottom two!

Tonight I think they all sang and sounded alot better than they have previously.
Although.....
G4, just as you said earlier Cat, I just don't get these guys at all. they have good voices but it's just not my cup of tea.

Voices with soul, again they have great voices, but to me its just too much, I want to tell them to tone it down a bit.

Steve, I think he did well tonight. I'm not his best fan but I thought he was good tonight (oh, no I'm not being converted am I!?!)

Cassie, I thought she did really well tonight. I was waiting for the bum notes but she sang her song brilliantly. No, she will never be the same as Mariah Carey(I can't stand her anyway) but I think she tried really hard tonight.

Tabby, he did well tonight, I think he is the one out of the group that has the X-factor. Yet, he was no way in the same league as Steve Tyler, but then who could be?

Rowetta, I actually quite liked her tonight, I've never been one of her best fans, but I think she really did well tonight and the song suited her.

As for the two at the bottom, I predicted both VWS and G4 to be there, and I think the reason VWS went was because G4 are just that little bit different, and Louis is hoping that will win him the competition. Unfortunately, I have a feeling G4 will be going next week.

I wish they would have themed weeks like Pop Idol, I think it would then seperate the men from the boys so to speak!

The thing is ILS, they can't use that format as it belongs to Pop Idol and Simon Fuller, he has already threatened to sue or he may even be in the process of suing Simon Cowell as he claims he has "stolen" his ideas. I would porbably prefer the themed weeks too, but they had to change the format so it would be different.

Part of me felt sorry for Louis tonight but only for a nano-second - when he stated that Simon was being smug......oh purlease!! If Simon's two acts had been in the bottom two, wouldn't Louis have been smug? I couldn't believe the booing that Louis got, he really needs to get his act together and stop all the sniping and b*tching. I think he is the main reason that his acts are not getting voted for, the public don't like him and do not want him to win. Shame really as VWS were really good last night, Louis cost them vote into the next round.

I know they had to change the format but it is a shame as I really enjoyed the themed weeks.

I was so sure Cassie would be in the bottom 2! I didn't like the song at all and it just sounded dull.

G4 I thought sang well but I'm sure they won't win. I absolutely love Jonathan he seems such a lovely lad.

Steve, loved him and thought he was the best tonight.

Rowetta, I liked her version of Macarthur Park but what is that song about really then?? There was no way she was going to be in the bottom 2 despite Louis and Sharon's best efforts to brainwash the public.

Tabby, didn't sound good tonight. I just don't get him at all. The Sex Factor?? I just don't see it - he looks like he needs a thorough wash. And his hair looks ridiculous.

VWS, much better than last week and I was amazed that Louis picked them to go. I wonder if they clash with some of the others.

I watched this last night and was truly staggered by the unbelievable lack of genuine talent. Steve - he's just someone's Dad doing rather embarassing karaoke in the pub. Cassie - WHO??! Again, she could just be anybody off the street. She doesn't look good and she has an incredibly dull voice.

G4 - what is that all about?? A barber shop quartet on prime time TV? Excuse me?

Voices with Soul were totally out of tune and although I like them, they're basically just looking for a holiday camp to perform in.

Rowetta should have stuck to what she used to do - backing vocals. She has no talent or charisma on her own.

Tabby is brilliant but for gawd's sake bring back the band!! He is the only genuinely talented person I've ever seen on one of these shows, but a solo singer he ain't. Bring his group back and THEN he might go somwhere.

Anyway, I thought it was a load of piffle so I doubt I'll tune in again, unless I'm REALLY bored....

Pm me too!!!

ils I think a themed week is a superb idea - is this part of Simon Fullers idea then?? And can X Factor not use it??

I keep hearing songs that I think would be fabulous for each band/artist. They do seem to stick to their own genre don't thye??

But on last nights performance - that minx Tabby cannot do wrong in my eyes!! Sharon played the 'babt' card like a true gambler. Showing Tabby meet up with his adorbable chubby chops and then sing that song right after - I just could feel Tabby singing this song to the wee man and meaning each and every word. He is FANTASTIC, and so utterly utterly sexy.

I was glad G4 stayed - my heart melted when I saw Jonathon openly weep on the Xtra factor straight afterwards. The thing is I think the VWS girls, lovely as they are are always a bit flat. And I am not sure which one it is - it certainly isn't the lead - who I think by herself is a superstar.

I wish Rowetta would go now I am getting very bored with her, and Steve?? yes he is still a complete scrummy pants - but his back answering is a bit childish - take it like a man Steve.

Cassie is a poppet but does not have the X factor.

I missed this week's show, but I find that your summing up is probably quite an accurate one Voice! cos the talent is so, so and the tension is contrived and the judges are predictable. ..but for some strange reason i'm really enjoying the show overall! I think the only thing throughout that has the remotest whiff of X-factor is Simon.

Oh I will laugh and laugh if Louis Walsh's last act gets the boot next week. Nothing against G4, just can't stand Louis.

I wonder how it's going to be decided in the end. Does anyone know the format? Surely it's not going to be up to the judges who wins in the end, but must be down to a public vote.

I haven't read anything to say what happens at the end but like you I hope it is down to the public vote and not to the judges who wins.
