View Full Version : Worried, yet also quite confused (and a bit happy)
Hmmm... I woke up to quite a conundrum this morning and can't work out where my brain's turned against me (again) I'm pretty sure I went out last night with twenty-five pounds, I spent quite generously on several drinks (and a kebab)whilst also trying to save eleven pounds for the Brighton game, and when I get drunk I'm always like, nah I'll deal with it tomorrow... so I thought I was down to roughly eight pounds or something. But as I did the usually dreaded thing of checking my pockets for money I discovered twenty-five pounds. Not that I'm complaining, but I can't work out how I have that much money.
One of the following must be true:
-I had more on me to begin with, but that would require me to have had about £45, which I can't see really, maybe £35 but still I'd be on about 15.
-Someone gave me the wrong change, to which I won't complain because nobody really loses out their, the bar has enough money anyway!
-I robbed someone... but I really can't see this.
-I found it. But I think I'd have remembered.
-I dreamt last night.
-I'm dreaming now.
Confused. In a good way.
Did you stop off at an ATM machine on your travels by any chance?
Either way, enjoy it while it last! the exact opposite seems to happen to me - always think I have more money than I've got :(

Oh god yes PJ, I know what you mean!
I'll go out with about £40 and think that's plenty, pop a tenner in a safe place so I don't spend it, (for the taxi) and come home with no money AT ALL ... I know I can sink a few drinks on a night out but I always seem to spend much more than anyone else I go out with!
And Fly I'm sure the realisation of where this £25 came from will come flooding back to you later! Let's hope it didn't invovle lap dancing in grubby underpants!!
i have no money in my account such that it'll let me take any out.
Though I do have a hazy memory of my auntie giving me a tenner or maybe £15 when I got back, but this was at twenty to four and after many a Stella such that the memory is extremely hazy. I'll ask my parents when I get up, I'm sure they'll confirm it. But now you mention the lap dancing, something seems to be coming back to me...
I have often woke up the next morning and found wodges of cash in pockets I wasn't expecting to find....but always turned out I hit the cash machine in the early hours.
kookycat 03-04-2005, 03:28 PM hey its always good to find extra money!!! usually the opposite happens to me and im sure ive lost money or overtipped the nice barman.
ive been a bit naughty recently, i went out last night and i didnt spend a penny but yet i did get suitably tipsy. no i didnt give bjs in return for drinks. instead my work has heapsa booze leftover from the student lock-in so they have been letting us take some home. so now when i go out i fill a big bag of the stuff and take a small bottle opener with me and sneakily open them in places! its great!! and yes im a manky student but im poor and have no morals.
Confused. In a good way.
I would just be happy, Fly and not think about it too much, as you have far more important things to worry about, like Brighton beating Preston on Tuesday  (I wish)
