Well I am just wondering what were/would be the first song you danced at your wedding or I guess your favourite romantic/sexy song if you're not planning on getting married!!

Ironic title but I just love and I mean love that song - Ian Curtis's voice is just sooooo sooo sexy - I can seriously do some very sexy dancing to that song!!

I think if I were to get married to my present partner the song that I would want to have our first dance to would be "Because you Loved Me" by Celine Dion. Not everyone's choice, I know, but the words are so true in our case.

If he hadn't loved me and stood by me through the bad times I don't know what I would have done.

Were I daft enough to wed again, I think the only possible first song to play would be, "Oops I Did It Again" by Britney Spears.

I honestly cannot remember what ours was!! It was a duet, and I know I have asked this before on here and I got the right answer - and I still cannot remember what it was. Neither can Mr F - we are such a pair of old fools - it was nice though!!!

But if I was marrying fantasy man [or should I say Mr F again] it would be - Golden Brown - The Stranglers - or something by Enya!!

We had Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson -"Tongiht I celebrate my Love".
which now makes me a little :sick: when I hear it.

We had Shania's "Still the One" which is a bit cheesy in itself, but as we got married in Dominica, we also had "Spanish Eyes" cos that was what our spanish musical trio serenaded us with on the day :laugh:

We had 'Without You' by Nielson, which is a song I love but really, the words were not entirely appropriate.

Mr Rothera and I aren't having a dance at our wedding reception so we won't have a first dance song. We will be walking up and down the aisle to music though - but we haven't chosen what pieces yet!

I cant see me ever getting married to be honest.......

but my mate Blondie played me a song about 2 years ago which she said she thought should be mine and Mr I's song.......it was Islands in the Stream by Dolly and Kenny Rogers :laugh:

I suppose if I had to pick, it would be "There You'll Be" by Faith Hill (from the movie Pearl Harbour) or "I Dont Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith......

A guy at work told me he had "You look wonderful tonight" as his choice puke a rama!!! and my cousin had "Fly me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra...i like that song but its a bit cheesy!

Another one I thought would be good woul be "Lets stay togeher" by Al Green..."You make me feel so brand new, I want to sepnd my life with you, baby lets stay together, loving you whether, times are good or bad or happy or sad..."

If I was to marry again I think I would like 'She's the One' by Robbie but I am so fickle I am likely to change my mind in between now and then!

I'd probably go for a Stones number 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' would be nice.

We've picked a couple of songs for our wedding dance that we may use but can't decide on which one to have. My choice is Elton John's "Your Song" cos I think this is loverrrrrly. Can't mind at the mo what my beloved's is (it must be one I'm not keen on :laugh: ) Only problem I have with my choice is when folk ask if I've picked one and say Elton's one of the suggestions they laugh :sad: What's wrong with it?

I can remember ours like it was yesterday...first song at the night reception and 'disco', You're my Best Friend, by Queen.

Then we all had a headbangingly good time with a musicfest of heavy and prog rock.
