More mad?

I cant wait for it to start - but God how scary is it that its a YEAR ago when we all discussing Victor shizzling his nizzle, Nadia and her laugh, Jason the miserable git, Dan's lip gloss pouting and Shell generally being an irritating fart? Time has flown!

They did this in the US last summer, and the twins pulled it off. And Aussie bb just started and they are doing it too, as their season just started a couple days ago.

I really don't know how BB can be any more crazy than last year in terms of housemates. Please not another Kitty. lol. I can't wait for this season tho!

Seeing you are begging....

Last summer myself, my sister and the delightfull Buzz travelled to Elstree for the friday night eviction... To our immense delight we were plucked from the queue to enter the VIP area. We watched with the crowd, uncertain as to what was going to happen with us, as Victor was chosen to be evicted that night.

Well, during the interval just prior to his leaving the house we, and a few select others were ushered into....yes you guessed it...THE STUDIO!!!! We were shown our places which were RIGHT BEHIND VICTORS FAMILY!!!! I hugged his mum and we chatted with his sister and family....WE WERE ON TV!!

I can't say I touched Victor but he skimmed by me.

It was a fairytale of a day....we travelled home delighted and overcome with our day.

Is that the one you meant Dol?

Well if you insist. One Friday last July myself, my sister and the lovely Buzz travelled by train to Elstree Studios to watch that nights eviction. We had free first class travel paid for by the Producers. Once there we were noticed and plucked from the crowd almost immediately...we were ushered to the VIP area where we chatted with Davine, Dermot and Russell...Oh! how we all laughed together, my sisters impression of a mating tortoise had them all in stitches.

Just before Victors eviction we were ushered into the studio to the prime spot with Victors family. I held his mums hand as Vic was evicted. We chatted for a while afterwards with the whole family but soon left them to their heartwarming reunion and happily made our way home.

It was a lovely day out. :)

I heard ages ago that they might be putting in a "celebrity" in with the "ordinary" folk this year.
Don't know how true that is?

15-05-2005, 05:35 PM
There was some stuff in the NOTW about this today....apparently one of them is a witch who paints her face white and mooches about complete with broomstick, one is a teacher who got sacked for being abusive to a pupil, there is another gay man who likes to convert straight men, and they are all single...apparently all of them are a bit head mental, so should be fun.

jaycee

There was 2 pages about it in the Mirror today, bit confusing though - stuff about 12 'dummy' contestants going in first & all but 1 being voted out. & 2 houses or the 1 house being divided into 2 & one 1/2 get to go out in the day & the other in the night!?

& a gay couple, a 56 year old bloke who is the oldest ever contestant & everyone earning money which they have to give up if they get evicted.

It's all very exciting!

Cat, didn't you travel to the studios or something last year?

Have I never told you PJ.....well here's my tale:

It was the night of Victors eviction (not that we knew this at the time). Myself, my sister and the lovely Buzzulation were whisked by private helicopter to the Elstree Studios. We were ushered immediately to the VIP lounge where we drank with Davina, Dermot, Russell and the producers. I coped off with Dermot, who is actually just over 6' and not as small as he appears, Buzz got quite intimate with Russell - who is actually much nicer in the fleisch than appears on tv.

Just before the eviction we were shown to our places in the studio, and sat with Victors family - who were charming. I held his mum in my arms to steady her as she was shaking with emotion when Victor walked in....
Buzz then coped off with Victor who sort her out from the crowd...I said my goodbyes to Dermot and we made out way home.

It was a lovely day. :)

Strangely I found his identical twin much more attractive. His twin waxed his back, where as Jon did not, also his mouth was different somehow..and he dressed better. I mean't I loved him in a brotherly way, he made me laugh a lot - especially when he was doing the pedalo task with Federo.

Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. :gunsmilie

I hope that they try and populate the house with more regular people rather than fill it full of the ends of the social spectrum. It is wrong to think that they have to have weirdos in order to create good tv. And it would not hurt to have a good looking girl or two - jesus h christ they have had on some tar-monsters on that show over the years.

I mean last year a black guy who thought he was a ganster, a pseudo illegal immigrant type, a overtly gay man, a transexual, a narcissist, a bisexual swamp-monkey.. need i go on. The format and setting make the show and would do so with any mix of people so make sure we have some interesting folks why are well-read and not just well-rubbish.

PJ

The contestants last year were just all too different and just pure stereotypes. I felt as though I kind of knew what their personalities were like before they even went into the house.

True....

I missed most of the first one...only started watching when the Nasty Nic thing hit the papers. But for me the best was the one that Kate won...they were all normal peeps...Spencer  , Alex ....who was  for a while but too camp for me. Jade, Kate and Alison who was voted off tragically early.

I love BB and can't wait to see what they have in store for us this year. I loved last year's evil BB.
The bedsit and secret eviction were brillinat, I hope they've got some real inventive people in the chair to keep it exciting and unpredictable
But please no more contestants like John *yawn* Tickle and Victor, so obvious. Out of the two I prefered Victor at least he was likable, Jon Tickle made me want to put my foot through my TV, which in my house is the equivalent of commiting suicide

But as you know my fave contestant ever was Victor! tell us your story Cat!

AGAIN Dol!! Well if you insist, I don't think Islandman has heard it.

One lovely sunny day last summer myself, my sister and The Buzz were flown to Elstree Studio by Concorde, circumnavigating the earth twice on route.

We were met by a champagne reception hosted by Dermot, Davina, Russell and all the Producers. It was here I first locked eyes with Dermot, who in real life is over 6' and has a soft scottish accent - it was an electric moment. He commented on my 'Dan Rocks' t shirt - crafted by myself with a bit of bleach - and we fell into our own world.

Davina gave my sister a VIP tour round the studios and Buzz worked her way through the production staff, quaffing champagne as she went.

Just before the eviction we were shown to 'prime seats' in the studio and were introduced to Victor and his family, it was very emotional and there were many tears. The producers wanted to make a special sub programme on us, but we declined.

We said our goodbyes and flew home - briefing stopping for a concert at the Sydney Opera House.

It was a lovely day :)

I wasn't in the least bit excited until I watched the Top 20 housemates EVER - late last night!!

Oh God I had forgotten about half the antics and people - I had really forgotten how much I really liked Anna - she must rate almost at the top in my fave hm's - although she was only no. 14 or something like that! But all the oldies are interviewed about the others and it is brilliant.

They only did 20 down to 11 last night and they are doing the top ten tonight - I think it is 11 ish on Ch4 or E4 - I am a bit useless aren't I at giving info!

But it is brilliant - WATCH and get even more excited!!

I thought Brian was one of the most "up himself" people on there! Talk about wanting to be the centre of attention ALL THE TIME!! The way he treated Josh showed his true colours. As long as you love Brian he loves you ... but turn your attention to someone else and you see a very different side .... imo!

As some of you know, I went away Saturday night til Monday and missed some of BB. So, is it my imagination or has Derek's posh accent slipped a bit. Was he putting it all on in the first place or is he now trying to "fit in" with the less posh?

As I said, I haven't seen much so far but he sounded decidedly less posh on the bits I have seen so far.

ooohh I am really enjoying this BB. I have just read an article by the Anthropologist Desmond Morris, he wrote the famous book Man Watching.

He just summed it up perfectly for me...its a perfect study of human behaviour, especially with this lot. They are all larger than life - or rather think they are - and after a while they just cannot keep up the continual act/front so it starts to crack and more often than not a very 'normal' person is lurking in there. "Big Brother provides a feast of body language and social interaction"

He also pointed out that Roberto is the odd one out..he called him an Ex Man...exparatrooper, exteacher, exwindsurfer, ex Mr Italy etc. I quote:

"there is a done-it-all atmosphere about him, coupled with a sense of deep disappointment in complete contrast with the naive optimism of the younger contestants.." He does stand out dosn't he.

As this is now BB6, they have all cottoned on to the fact that they have to be loud, controversial and "different" to be chosen so yes, they have all invented their persona in order to be outrageous enough to get onto the program but it is interesting to see the "act" crumbling away and the real person emerging.
