ooooh its been a busy day, well a busy coupla days...Im sooo tired but can't seem to sleep.
Jimi is still gurning like a goodun, I have manic picky teacher who is providing a running commentry on the painting I am doing for her and she is changing her mind at every touch and turn like a woman possessed, and I am seriously wondering if I should go back to getting a proper job!
I cant sleep through thinking about it all. I should be in bed snoring...ooh for sleep to come to me! Ah well, night all, I will try. :)
I really hate feeling all mixed up and unsettled

Poor you - I know exactly how you feel!
I woke up this morning with all the lights on, glasses askew, and laptop burning a hole in the duvet...
Oh well at least I must have got some sleep.

Well, I'm joining in this thread too!
We had a power cut in the early hours of this morning while we were asleep. And when the power was reconnected (at 2:30am), it caused a slight surge, which made my clock radio buzz and wake me up from the most gorgeous, deep sleep. B@stard!
To make matters worse the clock radio and alarm had reset themselves to 12:00, so I had to reset them again. The problem is we have the most complex clock radio in the world and re-setting it is like taking a test on the Krypton Factor (it looks cool though  ), so by the time I'd mucked about with it for 20 minutes I was wide awake.
Could I get back to sleep? Of course not!
So after tossing and turning for a few hours, I got up at 5:00am, got dressed and got into work at stupid 0'clock. I#m knackered now and am definitely leaving early.

Oh dear! some grumpy heads in this thread!
it is awful not being able to sleep. I go through phases, usually like you Marm when I've got lots of different things on my mind and no way of completing them ... it gets me all over wrought!
We used to have a thread called the Night Shift! Of course I slept like a baby then so never joined in, but i understand they used to have a ball! Bit like your teddies coming to life after you've gone to sleep type of thing!
i can't remember who was a member of the "night shift" and whether any of them are still on the board.

I wasn't a member myself, but I do recall seeing the comments about what a fabby place the "Night Shift" was.
I don't know everyone who was a member, but I do know that Coastie, Spider, ILS and Steve were regulars.
The "Night Shift Works On" - what a glorious thread. Popped in there a few times myself when I was plagued with insomnia!
There nowt worse than not being able to sleep. Since I've chucked the fags Ive not had that problem though :w00t:

Still lol-ing about this one! Sounds sooo like me (apart from the laptop cos I haven't got one) but often wake up in the computer chair in similar state.
I rarely go to bed before 2 am and have been known to be sitting here at 4 am when hubby got up for work
Just lately though I have been having earlier nights (like 1.30 am - lol) and even went before midnight recently
