Dolores 20-05-2005, 08:13 PM Seeing Cat write the word "preggers" in another thread reminded me of a thread we used to have of words or phrases we hated. Some of us (me!!) will just repeat what we put last time .... other new people may add to the list!
Words I hate are:
Preggers
Snog (no Flippy, please please don't send me lots of snogs just to frighten me like last time!)
Bosums
I don't really know why I hate them but they always make me cringe. Oooh just thought of another one:
minge
As you can see mine all seem to have sexual connotations ... deep down in places i don't like to go maybe I don't really like sex!!!!!

mazwad 20-05-2005, 08:18 PM "If you know what I mean" after almost every sentance. I have a welsh sister-in-law who says this and it drives me mad I want to say of course know what you mean do you think I'm thick or something.

Dol I completely agree preggers is just abomidable - whereas snog or snogging is a woody word which I can cope with, but it is tinny words I have problems with, like insect or chirriping [birds like Mrs Hamburger who I want to go and drown at this precise moment].:mad2:

Pedantic I know - but it's a cup of coffee or a mug of coffee!!
I'm sure I'll post more in this thread - there are a lot of expressions that I don't like!!!!
