Dol makes a good point Cat :ninja: Marmoset - is that a bridle, or do you tie people up to stop them escaping while you paint them? :photo: (or perhaps it's both) Marmoset 31-05-2005, 11:20 PM Lol Gel, it's my old Silver's bridle, above that I have all his rosettes pinned on the wall. That's my story, and I am sticking to it ! M Cat 01-06-2005, 05:54 AM Oh I see ... you chose the topic that has the least votes and you happen to have a picture of your desk to hand. ... I wold but I have no clever gizzmos to do that with I'm afraid. I really must get a digital camera ... hey I know why don't we have a whip round to get me a digital camera?! I'll bring mine on saturday and take a picture of it for you. :bye: Buzz 01-06-2005, 08:16 AM Here for example is the desk where I work.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v286/Caty65/Desk.jpg ..see, isn't that interesting. I would just like to point out that MY end of the desk is soooo much tidier than this. Cat 01-06-2005, 08:19 AM notice your e-bay purchases scattered around the room Cat! Why TWO bottles of water on the floor? is one of 'em full of vodka? One bottle is for the iron and one is for me to keep me hydrated as I steam. Yep you can see my lovely Tara Jardon silk brown shirt (ebay) freshly ironed in preparation for Saturday - weather permiting - can't wear a coat with it as will crease. You can just see the lamp I made too, the one that Nox really liked with the wooden african man (ebay). Bonsai 01-06-2005, 08:41 AM I like this thread  I love seeing people homes and where they work. I must bring my camera into work to take a picture of my desk .... or desks (i have three shoved together - important, moi  ). At the moment my desk is kinda tidy, but some days it looks like a bomb has dropped on it. Aondeag 01-06-2005, 09:51 AM OOH...love the horse! Can I have him/her? Ceridwen 01-06-2005, 09:52 AM :bored:  :sleepy: :bye: Becks 01-06-2005, 10:06 AM Am confused. I thought the one with the most votes would win - ie Jezabel June - which I was really looking forward so I can talk about excitment on the eiffel tower. I did'nt realise it was the one with the least votes. Ceridwen 01-06-2005, 10:18 AM Yes well, this is a dictatorship you see Becks, and not a very good one at that. :glare: Becks 01-06-2005, 10:59 AM Mmm - advice on good dictators: be clever and let people think they are running it whilst pulling all the strings or rule by fear and have people disapear in the middle of the night. Ceridwen 01-06-2005, 11:03 AM do you think if we all keep quiet this thread will disappear in to the night? ils 01-06-2005, 11:04 AM You don't really think that Cat would let that happen do you Ceri? Ceridwen 01-06-2005, 11:06 AM It's worth a try. :bag: Patsy 01-06-2005, 11:24 AM Right then, Ceri, you start. :naughty: Andrea 01-06-2005, 12:34 PM OK, you want to know where I work..... right here!!!! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/andreab33/house.jpg) Andrea 01-06-2005, 12:38 PM And,here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/andreab33/understairs1.jpg) in my understairs cupboard are all my tools  Actually the hoover has been out this morning ane the iron and ironing board will be out later. Then they will be allowed to return to their hibernation. Bella 01-06-2005, 12:42 PM Oooh, Andrea I love your hoover, it looks really fab and groovy like it should be an extra on Dr Who or something! Cat 01-06-2005, 01:07 PM Andrea, is that 2 irons I see? Do they serve different purposes? PS And your hoover is lovely. Andrea 01-06-2005, 01:10 PM Yes Cat, 2 irons. Just bought a new one and not yet got rid of the old one. There is actually 2 hoovers in there as well. Same thing, but you can't see the old one. The new hoover, the one you can see was a bargain buy at Argoooooooos, should have been £100, on sale for £50  Critique 01-06-2005, 01:11 PM And your understairs cupboard is so tidy Andrea! Mine is dark so I don't tend to dwell on it much. I just have to hold all the rubbish back when I shut the door on it. I can get my ironing board in there because it doesn't come out very often but my hoover adorns the hallway or spare bedroom most of the time. That's handy though because when Mr. C. comes in from work I can quickly stand by it and wind up the lead, as if I have just finished cleaning ;) I'd love to give you a picture to prove what a lazy bag I am but I nicked the batteries out of the camera last night for my RADIO that I take to bed with me. And you can stop that sniggering because it really was for my radio. :ninja: Andrea 01-06-2005, 01:15 PM And your understairs cupboard is so tidy Andrea! Ooh you wouldn't say that if I took the picture looking the other way. It's got all of Mr A's fishing stuff (well I tell a lie, he has another cupboard with some more of his fishing stuff as well). And then he has the gaul to moan at me because he can't find anything in there because I've got the hoover and ironing board in there. I don't touch the other side of that cupboard, I learnt that lesson long ago. Cat 01-06-2005, 01:19 PM That's handy though because when Mr. C. comes in from work I can quickly stand by it and wind up the lead, as if I have just finished cleaning ;) :ninja:  This reminds me of my sister...when ever I used to pop round there she always seem to be coming down stairs with a basket full of washing. Finally I commented on this and she admitted that she spent hours lying on her bed reading....so always had a basket of washing ready to make out she was busy. Critique 01-06-2005, 01:29 PM  This reminds me of my sister...when ever I used to pop round there she always seem to be coming down stairs with a basket full of washing. Finally I commented on this and she admitted that she spent hours lying on her bed reading....so always had a basket of washing ready to make out she was busy. Oooh thanks for the tip Cat ;) I used to keep a "Get Well Soon" card and display it in a prominent place if the doorbell rung unexpectedly but I sorta overplayed my hand there so looking for new ideas. I've done the "spray a bit of furniture polish in the air" one too. Men are so unobservant aren't they. They smell polish, they think you've been polishing! They don't notice the dust still on the furniture :) Have we had a thread entitled "Lazy bint's guide to housework"? I love that word "bint" Bob. Ever since you called Patsy a dozy bint on the baby pics thread I can't stop using it. Bob? Where are ya? Cat 01-06-2005, 01:37 PM "Lazy bint's guide to housework"? What a great idea....go start that thread. Ceridwen 01-06-2005, 01:55 PM Funny how this thread isn't pinned if it's the "genuine" one you say it is, isn't it? :whistling: Cat 01-06-2005, 02:11 PM Funny how this thread isn't pinned if it's the "genuine" one you say it is, isn't it? :whistling: I havn't asked for it to be pinned Ceri, there needs only to be one pinned and yours is quite a jaunty thread doing a good job. This thread is quite happy here. Are you going to show us your desk or appliances, we would love to see them. I have taken quite a 'dark' themic one of my hoover...its not as beautifull as Andrea's so it needed some flattering shadowing... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v286/Caty65/hoover.jpg I will never love it as much as my Henry with the super long lead, but this was only £29 and does the job. It usually lives under the stairs but does dwell in our bedroom quite a lot as we have a flat red carpet in there that shows up every speck. Becks 01-06-2005, 02:33 PM do you think if we all keep quiet this thread will disappear in to the night? I would be careful if I were you, Cat was ordering up a sniper team and explosives from Dab on the Judgemental June board. Ceridwen 01-06-2005, 02:40 PM I would be careful if I were you, Cat was ordering up a sniper team and explosives from Dab on the Judgemental June board. Really? How frightening. :sleepy: Flip 01-06-2005, 05:41 PM Andrea - you have got my old ironing board!! Did you find it at a Car Booter??:p I liked that one and had it for years - then I decided to get a tall fat one instead!! And ding dong - what a hoover bargain or not - it is gorgeous!! But does it work?? Or is it a work [of art]??:D Patsy 01-06-2005, 07:09 PM This is where I work............. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/Patsy271/work.jpg I moved Janet out of the way, for her own safety. Can you see what's on the screen? Patsy 01-06-2005, 07:09 PM This is the message....... http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/Patsy271/S3400028.jpg Patsy 01-06-2005, 07:10 PM ...........and this is where I play. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/Patsy271/S3400024.jpg Cat 01-06-2005, 07:14 PM Where is you desk in relation to the front window? Rob 01-06-2005, 07:16 PM Am confused. I thought the one with the most votes would win - ie Jezabel June - which I was really looking forward so I can talk about excitment on the eiffel tower. I did'nt realise it was the one with the least votes. I'd live to hear about excitement on the Eiffel Tower:w00t: Why not start your own thread and tell us about it!!!!! Patsy 01-06-2005, 07:22 PM Where is you desk in relation to the front window? Work desk or play desk? Cat 01-06-2005, 07:24 PM I'd live to hear about excitement on the Eiffel Tower:w00t: Why not start your own thread and tell us about it!!!!! Good thinking Robster..we did have a thread monthly theme thread about this a few months ago...International something where people told of their sexploits around the world - but even if she is the only poster on thread...I do believe it will be well read so come on Becks ....tell us about your amour up the Eiffel. Cat 01-06-2005, 07:25 PM Work desk or play desk? Work...are you to the back, side facing? Home - front room rear wall isn't it? Both are very tidy I must say. Patsy 01-06-2005, 07:30 PM Work, looking into office, my desk backs on to right hand wall. As in, if you sit at my desk there is a wall to my right and my back. If I look to my right, there is a door to the main Sales office with windows to the front and right hand side. Home, right hand corner of living room, looking out onto vast garden. Tidy for me, yes. Did you notice two cups? One had coffee and one had tea. And my apple. Very old, but didn't want to throw it away. Home, pink thing on desk is wrist band eldest Master P bought me and it broke within a day. Bless. Cat 01-06-2005, 07:38 PM Patsy, you must post a picture when Mr Patsy has done the whole weeks ironing and your kitchen looks like an ironing grotto with clothes hanging from every nook and cranny.. Patsy 01-06-2005, 07:39 PM I can get you an intermediate picture. Would that suffice for now? Cat 01-06-2005, 07:41 PM I can get you an intermediate picture. Would that suffice for now? Oh yes please - with what you are wearing on saturday would be good. Patsy 01-06-2005, 07:45 PM Sorry, my outfit is a surprise (as in still not finalised). However, this is Mr P's domain............ Can you just make out the back of the chair where he sits as we speak? http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/Patsy271/ironing.jpg Patsy 01-06-2005, 07:46 PM We chose the paint colour to match the ironing board. :) Haydon 02-06-2005, 05:46 PM Thread closed on Cat's request. |
