View Full Version : Roberto - "an excellent package with few faults"
Gelastic 31-05-2005, 11:34 PM I just don't get it. I don't think he's particularly good looking, his accent makes me laugh with it's mix of Italian and Liverpudlian and he seems althoug nice enough, quite dull.
Anyone find him "an excellent package with few faults" as he is reported to describe himself?

Well I'm afraid he's not a package I would care to open. Haven't seen anything I like about him yet.
Dolores 01-06-2005, 07:11 AM I think he is quite divine! ...
he seems very kind, thoughtful, slightly boring and concerned (on the outside at least) about other people in the house.
I think he was sweet in the diary room when he was talking about needing a draining board (that would annoy me too) and about the pots and pans. You get the impression that the girls in the house have no idea what cooking implements are in the kitchen!!
I would say one of his faults is saying he was "excellent with few faults"!
isleofweather 01-06-2005, 08:59 AM Old Roberto has been fine so far. Some funnies (whot-evvaaar meengurr) and some sympathy but he was massaging Oiky Max the other day (boys do not massage boys, period) and he has been a bit contrived with all his well balanced cuddles etc.. and apart from slightly too close eyes i would give him a B+
I'm getting confused by the mixed signals here...what is he about. He's very hands on with the boys isn't he..massaging Max, helping Kemal wash in the tub.. Or is this just because he is Italian?
Dolores 02-06-2005, 06:49 AM he's mentioned several times about doing things for the viewers. ie. massaging Max to get the pink vote, and he does seem to go round the other housemates almost by rote making sure he ingratiates himself with everyone. I think he thinks he's playing the game really well ... but i dont' think he is!!!
He just dosn't seem to fit in any category does he. I like him (as a contestant - not as a love object) though.
isleofweather 02-06-2005, 08:57 AM I think I am beginning to get him a little and it aint so good. He is a bit dim, manipulating and one of those chaps who think that they have people sussed out (mind you we are all like that).
I think he was outed as a phony last night. It was funny when he tried to intervene during the Maty/Saskia witch/bitch fight and was chased away.
Patsy 02-06-2005, 09:49 AM I think he's trying to be everyone's friend and actually adds nothing to the show, except a very annoying accent.
bridge 02-06-2005, 01:56 PM Well Roberto was one of my favourites but after seeing him wearing black nail polish on his hands and feet i am not so sure  but i also feel he is playing the game and it is getting annoying and boring.
Ceridwen 02-06-2005, 04:50 PM I would like to have an opinion about Roberto, but thus far he has done nothing to allow me to form one.
I've just been reading the Channel 4 site and thought this was amusing:
Roberto had a heated exchange with Science when he grew tired of waiting for his dinner. Science didn't react well to this criticism, and bellowed that he wouldn't calm down until Roberto "stops acting like a p**** and acts his own age".
After surviving a tirade of abuse from seething Science, Roberto made the mistake of skulking off to Mary for sympathy.
Given that she'd just heard she was up for eviction, this wasn't the best move. "Can I have a hug?" simpered the Italian. "I'm stressed too cos of that man out there."
Mary delivers another lecture Moody Mary wasn't impressed and shrugged him off. "Science is speaking the truth," she declared. "I respect him a lot."
Before Roberto could stop her, Mary launched into a speech on the virtues of speaking your mind. "People who get a hard time in this house are people who speak the truth - like I do," she fumed. "I'm not two faced."
If this lecture wasn't enough to set Roberto straight, Mary added, "You can be up your own f***ing **** sometimes."
That'll be the last time Roberto asks for a hug.
maxine 03-06-2005, 06:44 AM Yep, good old Mary. I thought she was spot on with her little lecture.
One thing I like about Roberto tho', is that he may get into arguments but his voice doesn't go all high pitched like Kemal, Science and Maxwell. He remains on an even keel. Their voices just grate on my nerves when they're riled.
Pandora 04-06-2005, 05:40 PM I think he's trying to be everyone's friend and actually adds nothing to the show, except a very annoying accent. I think everyones voice in the house this year annoys me greatly:
Derek : (in gush mode) Ohhhhhhhhh big brotherrrrrrrrr....
Roberto : (in irritating accent mode) Cum on... gimme a 'ug. Ah need a 'ug.
Maxwell : Leeeeeve ittttt ahhhhhht. Ahhhm a geeeeeeeeezahhhhh.
Science : (in not quite got the gangsta boi accent rite yet), Ey ooop, innit liiiike, schizzle mahhhh nizzle ya wassock...
Anthony : Ah cannat corrrpe wi' this, like man.
Lesley : You've got feeeehhhhhke titssss you 'ave.
Saskia : Shat itttttt. Ahmmm doin me Tiffany Mitchoool impwessionnnnnn.
Craig : (In appalling grammar mode), I arent wot I say I am. I arent bovvered wot people say about me....
Makosi : I am a Princessssssss. Well Im not reeleee. Not a reeeel one. Buttt I ammmm frrrrom royalteeeee.
Mary : Oi wont tah go home. You'se ahhl fekkin wannabees.
Sam : I (annoying giggle) fancy (giggle) a (giggle) sh*g (giggle) with anyone really, as long as it keeps me in the show.... (giggggggle).
Vanessa : I havent thpoken yet coth Im tho boring....
Kemal : (prancing about in the garden, kaftan flowing).ohmygod ohmygod, I feel JUSSSSSST like Kate Bush.........

Hilarious post Pandora
I actually don't mind Roberto. I thought it was great when he told makosi to eff off tonight.
His eyes are very close together though, aren't they?

His eyes are very close together though, aren't they? Its the grotesque size of his head (and hair) that get me ! Its twice the size of a normal persons !
Ive no idea how anyone could take him seriously, yelling like he was tonight, wearing an apron with the photo of a naked man on the front and a pair of too tight, slightly creepy looking brazilian pants.
What annoyed me more than anything though was the ranting "Fugggg ovvvvv - Jus Fugggggg ovvvvvvvvv Makosi....." then his usual cliched "Cummm onnn, teka no notice o me.... gimme a 'ug. Ah needa 'ug"
If he says that line once more I shall vomit.
Well I think I like Roberto, having the balls to have a go at Makosi and Science, and the common decency to apologise afterwards. True Italian temperament. My only hope is that it is not an act and that it is just Roberto and his excellent package!
sayangmouse 05-06-2005, 06:38 PM I read in the papers today Il Lunchbox really does have a family portion!
Sunday Mirror or NOTW I think, gotta believe everything you read............
Ceridwen 06-06-2005, 11:24 AM I thought last night was great, when Roberto said he cooks because no one else can work out the portion sizes correctly and everyone shouted him down...then Craig cooked and they all had a mouse size portion of food each!
Good on Roberto, I am starting to like him actually!
I like Roberto and would give him an Ug.
Pandora 06-06-2005, 06:02 PM I like Roberto and would give him an Ug. Bet thats not all now you know about his portion size, ey? ey? ey? :naughty:
Sorry, Ill get me coat...:ninja:
Just watched last nights show - he should have taken Kemal and shoved him head first in the bin and drowned him.
Someone give im an Ug.
I really like Roberto now.
maxine 07-06-2005, 06:43 AM I think Roberto is picking on Kemal. He's constantly having a go at him.
Pandora 07-06-2005, 06:44 AM I think Roberto is picking on Kemal. He's constantly having a go at him. Yeh I agree. The unnecessary bickering and Roberto's patronising attitude is getting a bit wearing. He has gone into teacher mode. (though Kemal IS annoying!)
Dolores 07-06-2005, 06:57 AM I think Roberto is picking on Kemal. He's constantly having a go at him.
Roberto is for some reason. i would ignore Kemal giving him attention is like giving him oxygen .... starve the litte ****** of both I say!!!
I have to say that Roberto talks far too much
..... did anyone see his mate Adrian on BBLB? now there's a handsome man! Too tall for me ...but I'm sure i could over look that "fault"!!
Gelastic 07-06-2005, 07:47 AM It seems to me as though Roberto feels very high and mighty when it comes to Kemal, like Kemals choices arn't good enough for him. Though why Kemals choices are any of his business is beyond me.
floopy 07-06-2005, 08:27 AM I think I'd find Roberto very annoying if i was stuck in a house with him, and although I do think Kemal is a self-obsessed little narcissist, i do agree with him about the coming out thing. That was none of Roberto's business and he couldnt hope to understand how difficult a situation like that must be for a young gay man.
On the other hand, I have a sneaky suspicion that Kemal's parents might have already guessed that he's gay :bag:

Like Kemal's parents watched the first night of BB and said "oh no our camp, drama queen, efeminate little boy is gay!"
I thought Kemals over reaction said more about him than it "deed abaaht" Roberto - who incidently is very good at not raising his voice.
Ceridwen 07-06-2005, 07:52 PM Roberto clearly hates Kemal and is definitely picking on him. Sadly I am finding this highly entertaining as I can't stand Kemal, shameful though that is.
Groucho 07-06-2005, 09:57 PM I think it is to Roberto's credit that he didn't nominate Kamal.
He's looked very thoughtful over the last 24 hours when alot of them have been making their names "tortoise"!
I think I may be falling in lust with Roberto - he is loud and excitable, but he is very manly!! I don't care whether he picks on Kemal, Kemal asks for a lot of it, although I still quite like him as well.
Groucho - I didn't understand this bit though?
He's looked very thoughtful over the last 24 hours when alot of them have been making their names "tortoise"!
Flip I'm glad you bought that up...neither did I. We have the same taste in men flip...we could go on a foursome - us, Tony and Roberto.
Groucho 09-06-2005, 07:56 PM Give their names away, make themselves look slow, etc......clear now? :ninja:
Give their names away, make themselves look slow, etc......clear now? :ninja:
Not Really
maxine 12-06-2005, 08:49 AM Roberto started promisinly but is now as dull as dishwater. I think this is due to affiliating himself with the likes of Derek, and being too busy thinking about how to get everything running smootlhy and jsut generally being a grumpy old man.
Give their names away, make themselves look slow, etc......clear now? :ninja:
As Mud!!
Come on Grouchy - me and Cat don't do subtle!! Your going to have to spell it out!!
isleofweather 14-06-2005, 04:41 PM "com on gimme an ug"
Roberto makes me laugh every night
he is wonky donky
Am I getting this all wrong? I am beginning to feel so sorry for this man, I really want to give im an UG.
The Saskia and Maxwell Assassination Society is bording on down right bullying - boy oh boy are they going to get their cumupance (she says hopefully).
I still like Roberto and really think he has only been trying to put some order into these dense, so far up their own **** youngsters that they can't see the light of day tw@ts. I still believe he is a genuine soul and set out to help and advise with his older experience...apart from Derek the others are so horrible it is beginning to be uncomfortable viewing.
Or am I just menstrual?
Should we get a "Give me an ug" t shirt ready for eviction night??
Should we get a "Give me an ug" t shirt ready for eviction night??
Excellent idea my friend. In that case he must stay in till term is over.
GET VOTING!!!
Ceridwen 16-06-2005, 07:50 PM I can't see what Roberto has done wrong at all.
He is clearly far cleverer, more organised, immensely more mature and basically less amoeba like than his housemates, and that is why he is trying to organise them. The fact that they are all bloody rude to him is their fault for not seeing just how fantastic he really is.
I think he is fabulous and I shall be devastated if he goes.
I do however wish he would stop wearing those hideous underpants. (Preferably all together :naughty: )

HERE HERE CERI!
I will be devastated if he goes tonight, not only for his sake but it will make Saksia and Maxwell even more big headed. Sam needs to go so it will make them realise the the good old british public arn't quite in agreement with them. Pull them down a peg or two.
Come on everyone...we must see Roberto and Derek through this, its a high hurdle but we can do it....tell your friends, neighbours, colleagues to vote go get Sam out....make up with old enemies...tell them too.
ROBERTO AND DEREK MUST STAY!
isleofweather 17-06-2005, 02:18 PM Last night again he showed remarkable poise not to whack maxwell and I am in no doubt that he would make a mess of him rather quickly.
Roberto needs to not bother about the others and what they should be doing and just kick back and take it all in.
Ceridwen 17-06-2005, 02:49 PM I thought the thing with Roberto and Kemal in the Speed Dating last night was hysterical - the funniest thing I have seen on BB so far. Interesting how Kemal changed his mind about Roberto when he thought Roberto fancied him wasn't it?

Kemal is a fickle as ****.
Why was Roberto nominated? He's the most gorgeous bloke I've ever seen on BB. Tall, well built, dark curly hair and smouldering eyes. Pwoooar. And from what little I've seen he seems very protective. What's he been doing wrong?

I'm a Roberto fan too Nox, but I'm not blind!
i can see what he's doing wrong. he seems to single people out for their bad manners (Science), unusual lifestyle choices (Kemal) and then he bangs on and on about what they are doing wrong. He is quite meddlesome ... but I like him for it! He really shows the others up for what they are. Particularly tonight in the case of Science eating his food "like a pig", he was eating like a pig, but to be honest if i was Roberto I would have just moved away from the situation.
Ceridwen 19-06-2005, 11:36 AM Science's eating would have disgusted me. Roberto was merely trying to be helpful in pointing out the correct way to eat the spaghetti - it makes life much easier and it would have improved Science's manners around others.
If Roberto is annoying, I must be off the scale, as I am always helpfully pointing out where people may have gone wrong (and encouraging and praising where it is due too I should point out).
I think he is very misunderstood; he is just giving the benefit of his greater wisdom.
And by God did he look fantastic in those skimpy tight swimming trunks - phwooaaaarrrrrrrr! :bag:
HURAHH!! People are seeing the light.
Roberto Rocks.
..and I would have taken the faulk and poked it in Science's eye if he ate like that near me.
Dolores 19-06-2005, 07:30 PM have just heard Science eating cheese on toast!! Fortunately Roberto wasn't in the room, I think he may have blown one of his Italian gaskets if he had been!
Vanessa was also eating cheese on toast much less audibly ... see it can be done Science!
Ceridwen 24-06-2005, 08:29 PM Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
Now there is no one to ogle in the House.
Mind you, he could always come to Kent for a personal appearance and decide to marry me....
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...that body was just the best...I felt like a man ogling a woman when his bare torso and lithe limbs came on screen, couldn't help staring at them.
Best he is out now before too much damage is done, he has come across well and just looked gorgeous.
ROBERTO>>I LOVED YOU!
Ceridwen 24-06-2005, 08:32 PM I want a semi naked pin up of him...or preferably a fully naked one.
Oh and he was so wonderfully, seductively dominant and controlling.........
maxine 24-06-2005, 08:48 PM I think it'll be interesting to see how things develop now the chief cook and bottle washer has gone.
Ceridwen 24-06-2005, 08:49 PM All we will see is endless clips of Science cutting off chicken's bottoms. http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/sleep/schla01.gif

Just the onc night Ceri, couldn't you just imagine it...he would make you feel like a princess...and oh so sore.
Ceridwen 24-06-2005, 08:52 PM Oh God, he could criticise my cooking, show me how to stir the pasta just right, seduce me while I sobbed at his cruel treatment........... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/bevelheadgrl/thud.gif
Dolores 24-06-2005, 11:09 PM I enjoyed his interview with Davina. He was very funny and she was very good too.
Although besides his constant and often unnecessary criticism of other people's personal habits I'm going to have to add "talks too much" to his few faults!
I loved his interview, normally the housemates are so guarded and change their opinions of people according to whether the crowd cheers or boos. Roberto stuck to his guns and sorted out that tosser in the crowd too.
Still my favourite clip his him showering F*ckwell with noodles
mazwad 25-06-2005, 08:00 AM Hadn't got round to joing the Roberto fest and now its too late. Some of the things he did in the house irritated me, but it was the best interview, and out of the house he is one gorgeous hunk. I am looking forward to seeing him on BBLB.
isleofweather 27-06-2005, 08:43 AM Just heard him with Chris Moyles and I reckon he was fairly portrayed in the house. Asked what he does now he had no reply as he is jobless. Asked what he would like to do he said "work on MTV"
Ah yes, another BB housemate who thinks that working on TV will be easy and glamourous -
memo to Roberto - there is no cushy tv job for you, Michelle Bass is humiliating her self on a crap sex channel and the rest are, at best, opening regional branches of Mace
