View Full Version : sam vs lesley
kookycat 09-06-2005, 09:58 PM has sam actually done anything to deserve all that bullying from lesley? someone please enlighten me as i havent watched it last week coz i was on hols and no satellite tv!!
as far as i can see the lesley gang of her, craig and derek and bullying her relentlessly. there was no need for the stuff derek had said to her tonite in the kitchen! if i was getting backlash like that for no reason all the time i would be constantly in the diary room crying!! and the others were moaning about her cooking, if its not up to scratch why dont you give her a hand or something. i feel sorry for her, unless of course she has done something to deserve this which i havent seen.
and did you see lesley trying to suck up now that she was warned, two-faced biatch. dont like her. she seems really nasty and a vulgar bully.
Bella 09-06-2005, 10:06 PM I almost wet myself when Lesley said she had men falling at her feet just like Sam!! As if! God almighty the lass is loopy!
And Derek was awful tonight, gone really off him. I am not a lover of Sam but you know I am warming to her as no matter what she has done she doesn't deserve that crap from Lesley & cronies.
And even Craig was getting a dig at Vanessa!
Oooh, doncha just love all this b!tching! Don't know about anyone else but its one of the reasons I watch it. It actually makes me feel a better person as I think thank God I am a not like any of them!
Maxwell, I have to say despite first impressions is my favourite! Mr B thinks Saskia and Sam are attractive!
kookycat 09-06-2005, 10:17 PM me too bella, i quite liked derek until his little tirade in the kitchen. "i will stand here and watch you dish up the dinner, this space belongs to all of us!" never heard of personal space derek? and all she said was one of those throwaway comments basically just saying im fine now. it was very belittling what derek said and sam did well not to retaliate.
Agree Kookycat, uncalled for behaviour from Derek. Sam obviuolsy rubs him up the wrong way and anything she dos now will annoy him.
Derek needs to learn how to deal with that.
As to what Sam has done, well I don't know, but she doesn't help herself by constantly telling people to shut up everytime they have a dig at her. She's be better off saying nothing.
I'm wondering about the way Sam has been edited becasue she said to BB in the diary room that she doesn't think she'll be going as the public might see her as a sweet girl and somthing else (can't remember)
To me she just seems to be moping all the time.
Islandman 10-06-2005, 02:16 AM Sam was my least favorite housemate the first few days...but now she is slowly creeping up. I agree that she does not deserve the crap she is getting from the likes of Lesley. There is no reason to pick on someone that much and for no real reason. I've found myself wanting to know more about Sam, but I know enough about Lesley to know that I want her gone this week...lol.

Sam has always been picked on it seems.
That was the reason she had her boob job.

MUM: MY SAM'S BOOB HELL
By Nicola Methven
SAM'S parents paid £4,000 for a boob job for her 18th birthday after she was bullied at school over her flat chest, her mum revealed yesterday.
When she was 16, Sam would come home crying over her 29AA bust. Mum Penny even feared she might kill herself.
Penny said: "The teasing was terrible. Sam was so traumatised by her flat chest she started saying she had nothing to live for.
"She said she'd take out a loan and get a boob job, with or without our consent." But her parents agreed to pay for it and Sam had her cup size enhanced to a 34B. Penny, 49, said: "I got my bubbly little girl back." Sam also battled acne and once refused to leave the hotel when they were on holiday in Corfu.
Penny said: "Her teenage years were a roller coaster."
All things considered i think she is 'hanging in there' and i have warmed to her too.
maxine 10-06-2005, 06:36 AM Derek was completely out of order last night. What a pig! There was Sam, feeling better because of her conversation with Lesley and pleased with herself because she'd cooked a meal, and that pig puts her down in such a nasty, belittling way.
I thought she handled it brilliantly - I'm sure inside she just wanted to cry. What a bully that man is. Get him out. I'm almost tempted to vote!
Mind you, she did let herself down a bit saying in the diary room that the public would probably think she's funny and sweet.
As for Lesley - men falling at her feet? Words fail me.
Groucho 10-06-2005, 09:43 AM I agree completely with Max's post.
Derek seems to have looked around for the weakest member of the group at the moment in order to re-establish some credibility with the rest of the pack.
He went to the kitchen specifically to have a row with Sam.
That said, Sams interpretation of what the GBP will be thinking of her showss that she is something of a space cadet and only loosly in touch with the real world.
Men falling at Lesley's feet? WTF???

Derek picked on the weakest housemate as if it were Lord of the Flies revisited. He showed his odious character to the full. Sam showed resilience (probably brought about by years of bullying) when faced with the cowardly attack.
I am going to vote tonight against Derek, and I never vote
Ceridwen 10-06-2005, 10:19 AM I think Sam gave a hint as to why she is being bullied in her Diary Room appearance, where she simpered on about how she won't get evicted because she is such a NICE person, everyone will feel sorry for her, she hasn't done anything, etc etc. When she came in to the house, she was sneering constantly down her nose at the other HM's, rolling her eyes whenever anyone else was talking, and was totally up her own backside. Now everyone has had enough, she's got her violin out and is busy playing the role of innocent victim.
The fact is, people DON'T tend to get bullied that badly if they have done absolutely nothing - there's always a reason why it started in the first place. Yes, Sam has shut up now, but it has taken the bullying to achieve it - her sneering, self important attitude she came in with was thoroughly obnoxious.
I'm not suggesting that Lesley and Derek are any better, but I cannot see how anybody thinks Sam is innocent in all this.

Are you talking in general here, Ceri, or purely about Big Bro? Because if it's the former then I completely disagree with you.
Sorry Ceri - people do get bullied "badly if they have done absolutely nothing".
As a teacher I have seen children being bullied for "being small", "wearing glasses", "having red hair" "looking at me in a funny way" etc.
Bullies don't need a reason - and they can make someone's life hell.
Ceridwen 10-06-2005, 04:47 PM But Rob you just HAVE given the reasons - they were small, they had glasses etc.
I am not saying they are good reasons - I am just saying they are reasons - I don't approve of bullying any more than the next person!
In Sam's case however it was definitely down to her obnoxious personality rather than something she couldn't help.
maxine 10-06-2005, 05:09 PM But Rob you just HAVE given the reasons - they were small, they had glasses etc.
But you didn't say 'reasons' in your original post you said 'people don't get bullied if they have done absolutely nothing'. Wearing glasses, being small is not doing something, they are things that are beyond that persons control.
Ceridwen 10-06-2005, 05:11 PM OK, so perhaps I didn't sit down and analyse my every word in detail, but I know what I meant.
And as I say, in Sam's case I would say the bullying is entirely the result of her own actions.

I agree that there is a lot of animosity there but the bullying Sam has been subjected to is completely out of order whatever she may have done.
Ceridwen 10-06-2005, 05:21 PM I think I did say earlier that I am not saying Derek and Lesley are any better, nor that I agree with bullying. However when kooky started this thread she asked what Sam had done to encourage this behaviour as she hadn't seen the show, which is the issue I was addressing.
kookycat 11-06-2005, 04:11 PM yes ceri that is true! but i still dont think she deserves the bullying! if anything i wouldve thought it was lesley up herself rather than sam! with comments like - i know im good looking and i dont need you to tell me! when she was having a go at maxwell!!
Pandora 11-06-2005, 05:25 PM I actually think all three of the worst people (IMO) in the house are obnoxious and have the worst kind of personality.
Sam comes across as a spoiled brat, all show and no substance. She is a vacuous tart who obviously has so many insecurities that she feels the only way she can feel better about herself is to get the admiration of men. Hence the flaunting of her body and constant talk about sex. Also, (and I noticed this too Ceri), Sam is an eye roller, hates it when someone else is centre of attention and looks bored.
Derek was way out of order when he had his hissy fit at Sam while she was cooking.
He is a different type of bully to Lesley, in that he is sly, malicious, snide and rather clever about it. However the mask slips occasionally and he has a temper tantrum that oozes pure vitriol. He is quite a nasty bitch.
Lesley isnt very bright, hence she resorts to the aggressive type of bullying of someone that she finds irritating because she is jealous of her (despite what she may say), and who she perceives as the weakest of the group. Lesley's self confidence is awesome, considering she is quite the munter, IMO. Either the blokes in Huddy arent fussy or she really DOES possess a magic mirror in her house.
Lesley was always going to come out worst during her spats with Sam, as Sam chose to play the victim - and it worked. Admittedly Sam HAS been the victim in all this - but I would rather have seen some backbone and maturity about all this, with Sam speaking to Lesley about her behaviour with a mediator (Anthony maybe) there, rather than running to the diary room, sobbing.
