Did anyone here watch this?

I have to say, I had decided not to watch in my own little silent protest that David Beckham was playing and was still Captain. But I did see some of it as the tv is in the same room as my pc and my youngest son wanted to watch it.

I thought the racist chanting from the Spainish fans was disgusting and I am sure if English fans had behaved like that, England would have been punished serverly. So I hope the powers that be in football punish Spain as they would have done England had it been our fans that behaved that way.

I also thought Wayne Rooney's behaviour on the pitch was disgraceful, I think his sucess has gone to his head and needs to be pulled down a peg or to for his own sake. From the little I saw I think he was lucky not to be sent off and had he not been taken off when he was, it was only a matter of time before he would have been sent off. He is young and he has a lot to learn about life and how to behave and hopeful he will learn from this!

The England performance on the whole was poor, they really need to pull their socks up if they want to compete with the other countries on the International stage!

Did I watch this??? Pffftt! Of course I did!!! And was I disgusted? YEP!

They played like a bunch of amateurs. It was absolutely useless. Rooney was really out of order and acting like a maniac. There was nothing professional about the team at all.

And as for the Spanish fans chanting, well...... don't get me started on that.

Overall a disappointing experience.

Dont see the point of pointless friendlies.

If they win well, their detractors say it was only a friendly.

If they get stuffed, they say it was only a friendly.

All in all, a waste of a good Wednesday evening.

I watched the first half and I'm glad I didn't see the second half from what I've heard... it could be called anything but "friendly"...
