ahh rowetta i dont know about her, she got a very powerful voice but her mouth and personality is very scary!! lol and she wearing a sari type dress? i thought the strippey suit thing would have been better? good performance tho. personally i think she is more of a show singer than a "pop star" hate to put that tag on it but dont know what else to call it, would see her on a cruise ship or on the stage in the west end, not a recording artist

Best tonight were Steve and Tabby. Rowetta was ok, but it's so SO so boring. I was saying 'Cleo Laine' all the way through and Mr V was saying 'Bassey' so for the first time ever we agreed with Louis! She didn't half have a face on her at the end didn't she? :ohmy:

Cassie was not good, the low notes were too low and high too high for her, you can't replace a high note with a shout just so that can you make it. I agreed again about the song being too old for her, a 17 year old can't sing the line "When making love was just for fun" and expect to get away with it! Sad really.

Didn't like Tabby much tonight and I didn't like the video of his son running in the background (yes I know he sung sweet child of mine but we had this video last week too)..... I thought Rowetta was great but I am not sure she will sell records, might make it big in the west end though!

Steve: Spot on with the song choice and I think he did a great job with it.

Cassie: Hated the staged hand movements. Love the song itself, but Simon made a very valid point the song is about an older woman looking back on her life and isn't suitable for a 17 year old. Sharon's argument was completely irrelevant and from liking Sharon initially she's really beginning to get on my wick. Cassie has the z-factor.

G4 So why didn't they sing Creep. It might have been interesting. I still think G4 are amazing but I didn't like this. And I'm more convinced than ever that Jonathan has his microphone set louder than anyone else. He has a wonderful crystal clear voice, but it would be nice to hear the others once in a while!
I loved their reaction when they realised they were through. Presume it's live because you didn't need to be a lip reader to see what Jonathan screamed lol

Tabby - Louis should take a leaf out of Sharon's book and choose songs for G4 that suit their style like Sharon has with Tabby.
Tabby is on safe ground as long as he continues to do rock songs. He's got the x-factor but I agree with Simon, I'd like to hearhim try something a little different at least once, to see whether he really has got what it takes or whether he's just another very good copycat. The baby pics in the background like last week's intro video, were corny.

Rowetta, I know she's emotional and it's not put on, but I'm really getting fed up with her being on the verge of tears all the time

I know I'm being very cynical and jaded at the moment about "celebs" but Simon knew that this load of insincere baloney was going to appeal to people and make him appear "honest injun", but I thought it was a pretty low blow.

Incidentally I thought her final burst (didn't hear her first time tonight) was the best that Cassie has ever sung - she has way more talent and range than that faux guitar toting quair looking fellah!

She did a good job second time around really hit that high note, but really the range was too big for her.

Totally agree with yo Dol, I really started to like Simon but he totally wnet down to Louis's level last night with his "I'm such a good guy, look at me GB Public, Tabby is my worst enemy, he can win... but I am such a good and fair guy, I will kepp him in" Purleeeeeeease!!

Anyways for once I think the GB public got it totally right.

Steve - one of my fave songs and it suited him down to the ground, he did a fab job and he was my fave last night

Tabby - Zzzzzzzz, same ol same ol, he deserved to stay ahead of Cassie but was deservedly in the bottom two - he was just boring. That song has been covered so much and has been turned into a it of a kareoke classic, bad choce of song imo/

G4 - Well I really liked them tonight - i thought they deserved not be in the bottom two and I really like them! They are definitely the most genuine of all the people left.

Cassie - i think she has a good voice but every week she just bores me, Sharon has given her the worst choice of songs ever, i think she deserved to go as Tabby performed better than her in the final performance

Compared to the other judges, I think Simon has shown more integrity, but I'm afraid my first thought when he started spouting on about who he should choose, was exactly the same as Dols. It wasn't necessary to explain his decision unless he was looking to gain support for his 'honesty'. He could have just chosen Cassie because she wasn't as good as Tabby and left it at that.

Was Pete Brame the guy in Fame Academy who couldn't sing in tune to save his life? That's who Tabby reminded me of, but to give him credit he can sing loads better than Pete.

I thought Tabby's performance was his best so far! I was really surprised he was in the bottom 2.

Cassie I thought was OK but she did shout those high notes.

G4, no I didn't like their version of My Way and I was amazed they got through. I think Jonathan has an amazing voice though and should get rid of the other 3.

Steve was just fab - that song was perfect for him.

Rowetta, I've never heard that song before and I found it really boring so I lost interest during her performance. Oh and she looked like a Christmas tree.

Thought Sharon was pathetic - her silly voice is really starting to grate.

I just think the way he went on and on in an effort to gain popularity (which he already has by the bucket load) and the fact that he mentioned it at all was highly irrirating and unnecessary.

I also get annoyed with ALL the judges when they witter on about "I want to win this competition" - well get up and sing then for goodness sake, the winner will be one of the singers not one of the judges. It's all me, me, me with those three!

To my mind splitting the three judges up has lessened the tension on this show - although it has heightened the bitching which can be quite entertaining, although it usually borders on boring and predictable!
