I love paranormal stuff. "Most haunted" is a brilliant program! I wish they'd put it on terrestial TV though cos I always forget its on LIving TV!

French and Saunders pish take of the series was superb.

I remember a friend forcing me to watch this and it was the most contrived piece of bull I have ever seen. You only have to study the art of "cold reading" in a bit of detail to realise how easy it is to reproduce these effects with very little training.

If anyone wants to make a fortune as a tarot reader or clairvoyant, let me know, it's so easy - the basic principle being, anyone that goes to a medium/clairvoyant/tarot reader is obviously searching for a greater meaning in life to start with, so they're in just the right suggestible frame of mind for you to convince them of your psychic powers!! :laugh:

Sometimes I just wonder if it's for the cameras. David is really good but there is no way I believe he is completely genuine. If he was then loads of scientists would be after him etc and there should be controlled tests to see if he is really is in contact with the spirit world. I can't stop laughing when he says 'However'. He sounds like a right wally lol!

Continuing my ghostly post i would just like to give u a link for mine and my partners site

Basically when we go on an investigation we film and record etc, and we have made a pilot sort of episode just to go on the net, like a little series thing, showing all that we capture a bit like most haunted but none of the face shots or annoying add breaks! just the good bits,ie orb,evp's etc!

So if you are interested please take a look, we need as much feedback as poss, coz if its pants then we will not bother doin any more lol! please leave comments on the forum.

Actually, I think something like this is happeneing in Edinburgh soon (Bella correct me if Im wrong) but you buy tickets and you get to go on all these ghost tours but you also have to spend the night in this haunted place and there will be psychics and stuff like that Derek guy there.

My niece just phoned me, shrieking down the phone. She had been to Brixham to see her hero (I know, its so sad), Degsy Acorah and as he came out she bellowed "DEREKKKKK" and waved her book at him - The Psychic Adventures of Derek Acorah (I bought it her as part of a chrissie present lol). He saw her, signed her book and got a signed photo off him too (which she is sending me - lmao - she says its an incredibly camp, airbrushed, perfect haired, fake tanned pic).

She is going to Berry Pomeroy tomorrow to see him again.

We watched about 10/15 mins of it, but we had to turn over when Degsie got possessed - we were ROARING laughing.........Jade and her b/f were at both nights, they said it was ok.....which is pretty good translated from teen language :laugh:

Police were called out after a live ghost-watching TV programme at haunted Berry Pomeroy Castle was sabotaged by fancy dress phantoms.

Five officers from Totnes rushed to the scene on Monday night to tackle the free spirits who managed to vanish into thin air before they could be clapped in irons. The run-in with the law was kept off -screen as about a million viewers tuned in to watch the spooky goings-on covered by the Most Haunted programme for satellite and cable channel Living TV.

A spokeswoman for the popular show, which had zoomed in on ghoulish episodes in Brixham over the weekend, said the spirits' interruption had not affected the broadcast.

"We always have security in place. Everything was under control. The show went on as normal. It was fine," she said.

She did not see any of the disturbance in the dark which prompted a 999 call for help to the police at just before 10pm.

A police spokesman said the problems stemmed from a small group within a crowd of about 50 or 60 onlookers.

"We arrived to deal with the incident, but those playing up had disappeared by the time we got there," said the spokesman.

He confirmed there were reports that some of the troublemakers had dressed up as ghostly apparitions to deliberately spoil the proceedings.

The Most Haunted spokeswoman said the Berry Pomeroy show had gone very well. The ruined castle is said to be the most haunted building in Britain.

"It was so good we are planning to come back to do an all-night show. There was lots of paranormal activity with even our sound man appearing to be somewhat possessed. He became very aggressive which was completely out of character for him. When he came round he could not remember behaving as he did," she explained.

Other ghost-spotters at the scene became inexplicably tearful.

She revealed that the earlier Saturday night show from Brixham had attracted 1.1 million viewers.

During that programme, aggressive prisoners, French captives and smugglers from the spirit world made for gripping live TV.

Three nights of ghostly action, boosted by Ouija boards and spirit medium Derek Acorah, kept a live audience at the Torbay Leisure Centre on its toes as well as TV viewers.

The ghost-hunting team investigated paranormal activity at Lupton House at Churston Ferrers and the Smugglers' Haunt Hotel, Globe Hotel and Heritage Museum in Brixham town centre.

During the early broadcasts at the weekend, coins were apparently seen to move on paper, a drawing device offered up a secret French naval insignia from a ghostly Frenchman, and aggressive characters from the past apparently made their presence felt.

Hotelier John Ruffell of the Smugglers' Haunt said: "The ghosts they say are here are just mischievous. We know there's a poltergeist. If they are doing something like knocking over cream in the kitchens or shifting TV sets, we just tell them off and they stop.

"I was just amazed at the following this programme has. Thousands of people switched on and we've had visitors here at the hotel who flew in from Manchester just for the live broadcast."

At the Globe Hotel in Fore Street, Brixham's oldest pub and built into a cliff-face, publicans Jean and George Adamson have been aware of some haunting activity since they arrived seven years ago.

We did watch a bit of the Brixham MHL being as its down the road from where we live....and the kids went along to have a nose, mind you, my step daughter Jade says that they all got told off for making too much noise :laugh:

I did wonder about the Berry Pomeroy one, when you visit there, you can hire a little walkman type thing that gives you the history of the Castle as you are walking round - and as I said to hubby, he will know who all the historical figures are, its one of the most haunted places in South Devon (allegedly) so I wasnt at all surprised to hear him talking about Margaret!

I am afraid that when Derek got "possessed", once we had picked ourselves up off the floor from laffing our asses off, we switched over!

finally....... Jade and her b/f often go to Berry Pomeroy at night "ghost hunting", and they say that they have seen a white mist that floats above the ground - it appears and disappears at will.......I also have a couple of friends that have seen similar.........funny that the "psychics" didnt see or pick up on it isnt it!

Awww, I wanted to believe that Derek really did get posessed and stuff but after reading that I think it proves he's a fake (if it's true!)

I still think it's a good program though and that some unexplained ghostly things that we see/hear on it, like footsteps, are real.
