"Dummy explosions using detonators only have sparked the evacuation of three Tube stations and the closure of three lines, a BBC correspondent has said"

What does the above mean - was it a hoax or do they mean that they have made 'safe' a bomb ?

I'm just as confused as you are Bons.

What did they mean to do with this? Did they mean to kill people? If so, why have they chosen a quiet time of day? And the explosions seem to be smaller.

Once I can understand that people can just move on. But twice? How do you get on a tube now? I wouldn't be able to, even though these explosions are of a smaller nature.

It's very sad.

For those of you without access to the latest news...
One confirmed person injured.
Reports of a man running onto a tube train, dropping a bag and running out. Some passengers tried to stop him. Bag then "explodes" - popping sounds reported.
Reports of police chasing a man down Tottenham Court Rd.
Report of armed police inside and surrounding a hospital.

They seem to be saying that there have been 4 bombs or attempted bombs - probably only detonators exploded.

Police advise to Londoners is to stay where you are.
