They are acting like idiots. Especially Louis Walsh.

Why the bloody hell can't they listen to each other? It's all a load of rubbish and it's ruining the show.

Simon was right. G4 were ****e.

cheerio!

I have to say that Louis is really starting to tick me off! :ranting:

As for Sharon she needs to listen more to what Simon is actually saying because he is making a hell of a lot of sense....instead she (and Louis for that matter) are totally defensive and snap back unnecessarily!

For instance....Simon said that quite a few of the acts had excellent voices but it was the song choice and stylists which let the performance down (tis soooo true)....Sharon and Louis both say that Simon is digging at their singers when he's not he's saying what I for one am certainly thinking......you have good acts stop ruining them with cack songs and a pants wardrobe!

All that happens then is Simon says something in retaliation and it ends up being a clash of the egos which makes them all look childish!

Dolores

The judges have all got such big egos and are all on an ego trip to win, I honestly get the feeling they don't care if their acts are ****e as long as they (the judge) wins.

I noticed that both Louis and Sharon took Simon's comments to heart in that Peters and Lee both tried to jazz up their wardrobe. I say, TRIED, cos the end result was just pitiful.

Also Tabby had an awful lot less eye liner on.

Unfortunately Cassie can't get rid of her fringe for another month or two at least!

Sharon and Louis are becoming a pair of wallies with all this ganging up on Simon. And that dozy cow Sharon still insists on sitting with her back to Simon ... it is really really irritating me now ... as is she!

Yeah Louis & Sharon are seriously getting on my tits! I really liked Sharon in the begining, but she just annoyed me with her childish antics. And was she trying to upstage (not that it takes much) Geri Halliwell by bringing on that silly little dog? Simon Cowell to me, give the best advice and the best critisim and Sharon & Louis would do well to listen a bit more instead of going off on one.

And why does Sharon have to wear so much make-up, I do like her when she is at home with her contestants, she looks so much better with the "au-naturel" look.

And as for Louis Walsh........can someone just shoot him, please???! :sleepy:

Again Bella, I am with you on this. I really liked Sharon at first but she acts so childishly petulant at times its really starting to grate.

Lost any faith in Loius a while back......he showed his true uncaring colours when he agreed to go to lunch with that girl (bob?, with the dog). Simon did push him into it, agreed, but he didn't have the guts to say to her face that he couldnt' make it and ran out the back door - weezle walsh.

Simon is rising above it all like a majestic pheonix from the flames.

Cat - I was really disappointed with Louis when he snuck off rather than meet that poor lady that was waiting to have lunch with him - he could have at least gone and had a chat with her.

I like Sharon, but I think she really lets herself down when she acts so spoilt and childish.

Simon is coming out of this looking much the best judge (imo if course!) and less petty than the other two.

Totally agree with everything said above, Louis and Sharon don't seem to be able to understand that the show isn't about them.

And as for Sharon bringing that dog along...well, words fail me (for once ;) )

Bella - I'm loading my gun as I type! ;) Although in Louis defence he did apparently go and speak to the girl but the producers of the show didn't show that bit as they wanted him to look really horrible.....Don't get me wrong though he should still be strung up, beheaded and strung up again! :ranting:

Sharon - GROW UP!

Simon -

How do you know the producers cut him talking to the girl (she was called Ed, came back to me in a blinding flash at the doctors). I have based my hatred of the man on this....never mind, I 'm sure I can find something else.

I don't agree with Simon all the time (I mean he wanted Gareth to beat Will  ) but I do think he makes sensible and constructive comments which the other two don't.

Although I do think Sharon is better than Louis :D

Cat....it came up in two un-related articles/tv apperances with regards Louis speaking to the girl before he left....I still find him extremely nauseating though.....I really don't like him! :ranting:

ILS - Sharon was totally fab at the start but I am tiring more and more of her childish behaviour towards Simon.....yes he can be very too the point but more often than not what he say's is right if only she and Louis for that matter would listen..... :ranting:

Is it just me then, or does anyone else find Sharon's voice rather annoying? She can be ok on a one to one when talking in her house but on the show she seems to shriek. She done the same at National TV awards when the guy flashed at here.......I found her quite annoying there too.

I enjoy the judges dissing one another. That makes the show more enjoyable for me as they are obviously passionate about their 'acts' and dont want them to get slagged off.

I still think Sharon is wonderful ..... and i loved her little doggy

I must say I watched Sharon on Parkinson the other weekend (now i can't STAND Parkinson and I'm not keen on Sharon in the X-factor and some aspects of her personality/child raising skills in the Osbournes, but I have to say she did a good interview and I learnt lots of things I didn't know about her. She came across very well and as a survivor. But as a judge on this programme she is pants! She is playing the the rowdy audience and sucking up their misguided love for her!

Coastie
06-11-2004, 04:43 PM
I saw her on Parky (who I love by the way - Kevin Spacey tonight...wahooo....and he's singing) - I thought she was brilliant! I just wish she would act with the same amount of decorum on the show!

Agree with everything thats been said.
I love Sharon Osbourne but she is quite childish on this show (that baby voice she does is very annoying). Also, her and Louis are taking this we-hate-simon thing a bit too far. He may be harsh but he knows what he's talking about.

Dolores

More pantomime tonight especially for the absolutely appalling Louis Walsh! Ok OK I know he's had 1,000,000 number one hits, but even so the guy is an A-list prat!

If Sharon gets any shriller she will be bursting ear drums and only sheep dogs will be able to hear her!

Simon as usual was dignified (if a little pompous) but sticking to the role of judge, which is to judge and give constructive criticism to the acts.

Groucho
06-11-2004, 06:37 PM
Yep, I think Louis made his name "Tortoise" tonight.

The gay club set with Voices With Soul, just a blatent play for the "gay vote" (and one of them was off key) , the crass comments about Peter(s) and 4 blokes covering Britney.....he's getting very desperate.

And also, he seems to believe that just because he's had a sack full of number ones with Shítelife that he actually has some talent at spotting future stars, rather than recycling tired old ballad covers.

The gay club set with Voices With Soul, just a blatent play for the "gay vote" (and one of them was off key) Either I'm not gay or totally unaware that I am (!) but I couldn't see any gayness in the VWS routine - OK I saw a bit too much sparkly eye stuff and yeh they were off key slightly at some points, but appealing to gays ? - I don't get that bit. What is it that "gays" look for in a performance that is different to "straights"?

Totally agree with ya Groucho....practically all of Louis number 1's have come of the back of West Life (who I belive Simon actually discovered in the first place) - and all West Life have ever done is covers...covers...and more covers....I sometimes wonder if Louis would know what new talent was even if it jumped up and bit him in the ar..although the toothed attacker my take Louis eye balls out in the process since lately Louis head seems to be right up his own bottom! :ranting:

Sharon was better tonight and there was genuine shock on Louis and Simons face (for different reasons) when whe agreed with Simon about VWS being off key at times!

And when it's not up his own it appears to be stuck up Sharon's  This constant ganging up on Simon is beginning to really annoy me now. Simon does appear to be the only one behaving with any dignity at all whilst Louis and Sharon bicker and endlessly try to score points at the expense of the performers. It's all very tiresome.

Oh and I must thanks Groucho for providing me with the answer to a question that has been playing on my mind over the last few weeks. I couldn't for the life of me put my finger on what it is that Louis reminds me of until Groucho called him a tortoise. Of course! he does look totally like a little crumply faced tortoise with his head bobbing back and forth on his wrinkly little neck!

Louis head would be mounted on a Tortoise body and his head would bob up and down as you drive along! :D

Simon can't open his mouth now without Louis jumping down his throat - it smacks of desperation and is just making Louis look like a complete b!tch!

Sharon was a lot better tonight.

Simon is just honest and fair.

I did like the fact that Louis was made to vote after Sharon making him choose between Voices with Soul and 2 To Go. They could so easily have gone to Simon and the result would have been the same I'm sure, but it was fun to see Louis squirm like a big fat slug. :D

Dolores
07-11-2004, 09:35 AM
lol! yes Louis was in quite a condumdrum wasn't he. How many times was he going to say "it's a hard choice, I like them both, it's impossible to choose". And he had the check to tell Verity she was too fragile for the tough music business!!! What a larf, all he had to do was chose the act he liked best to stay - it ain't rocket science Louis!

I've also noticed he blinks a lot and gets a really pathetic needy look on his face at times when he appeals to Sharon to stand by him and when he wants the world to love him.

It was interesting to see that Sharon wasn't quite so chummie wuith Louis this week....it was a breath of fresh air esspecially the way she actually accepted Simons comments regards Cassie and her nerves!

I think it's becomeing more dog eat dog and Sharon is going to let Louis hang himself... :D

Oh and how many more times will Louis slag of the fact that Simon has had acts singing 'Unchained Melody' and that he managed Robson and Jerome? People were gagging to buy that record when Robson sang it on Soldier Soldier and Simon saw an oportunity snapped it up and made a bucket of money in the process.....I think that's what really peee's the tortoise off...Simon can smell a quick buck as easily as he can spot real talent! ;)

Loved, loved, loved the show last night!!! And my main reason for loving it was seeing the little leprachaun squirm,it was a wonderful moment in TV land!!

Your right, Coastie I think Sharon is begining to realise that Louis is just a little toad with an extremely b*tchy and nasty attitude and she is trying to let him go. However she still oohed and ahhed him when he made his patronising comment about Peter being a "poor blind guy"! How awful was that? I bet he just wanted the ground to open up and swallow him up! At least we won't be hearing him going on that he is the only judge with 3 acts in the show! It was an awful position for him to be in, but so wonderful from the audience point of view.

I taped last night's show so didn't really hear all of the bitching between Louis & Simon, but doesn't Louis realise that what he is doing just does not make him look good at all!

Anyway, I am delighted 2 to Go went last night, they are just pants! VWS were off-key and have to admit their attitude is begining to get to me, they seem to sneer at Simon, when he is giving honest critism.

Laughed at G4 and was astounded that they received the highest amount of votes, I bet their mum's have sore fingers from the amount of re-dailing they had to do. And Rowetta..............FANTASTIC!!! I can forgive her for coming across needy, she was a victim of a voilent and abusive marriage. she deserves......and will get that break! She was just brilliant!

How do you know they received the highest number of votes Bella? When Kate announced the acts that were through, she said 'in no particular order'. I would be amazed if G4 got the most votes.

I have to disagree that because she was the victim of domestic abuse that she deserves the chance to get her break. In a way that's just as patronising as Louis comment about "Poor Peter".

I have no idea about the private lives or aspirations of any of the contestants and i don't really want to know. it is irrelevant to their performance.

Whether she was a victim of domestic abuse or not she is a talent .... I just worry that she is a bit too long in the tooth!

Max I just assumed because they were called first, thank goodness for that because I did wonder why they were first! I was fast forwarding through Kate so didn't hear all she said. I wonder who did receive the most votes, is there any way of finding out?

Dol, yes I get your point. I wasn't being patronising, what I meant was that is probably explains why she is so needy. It wasn't meant that just because she was a victim of domestic abuse that she deserves a break.........I do think, however that she does deserve that break based on her ability to sing.

Agree with the general consensus here, the judges' bickering is so yawnsome now that it is seriously detracting from the singers on the show.

Whatever the judges personally feel about each other, they should be professional enough to put those views/feelings on the backburner and give all the acts the constructive critiques they deserve.

Btw - completely agree with Simon re: VWS - they hit way too many bum notes on the last show, there were major pitch issues all the way through the song and I actually think that they are generally pretty atrocious. They can't harmonise for toffee and seem to think that screeching over and above each other constitues 'soulful' singing - here's a clue: it doesn't.

But hey, that's just my opinion!

When the judges are walking off the stage with their acts, Sharon and Simon always walk with their acts, standing close together giving them moral support.

Louis always seems to be striding off 10 paces ahead of his acts like he just doesn't care about them.

Coastie
09-11-2004, 06:13 AM
I think that's because he knows he's letting them down and he doesn't know what to do about it....I mean lets face it Louis boasts that he's had 27 No.1's but nearly all of those have been by West Life (an a typical boy band (discovered by Simon) who the little girlies like and who were ably assisted by Ronan big time in the begining) doing cover songs!

Louis has no idea how to take raw material and make it a success! :ranting:

My tortoise is MUCH better looking than Louis

I do enjoy the squabbling of the judges, but i think Louis is making himself look very pathetic. Even he would of been able to hear that VWS were slightly off key.

I have to say though that i loved the G4 Britney song. I laughed and laughed and thought it added humour to the show. They also sang it brilliantly. Hubby hated it, but i thought it was great, and showed they were game for a laugh.

I think Tabby must have got the most number of votes beacuse I read somewhere the day after the show that he is now the favourite to win.

As for the bit on Rowetta in the Daily Mail - do you think Simon helped get the article in it to help raise her profile?

"Louis always seems to be striding off 10 paces ahead of his acts like he just doesn't care about them."

Yeah, not good at all. He also stands weird with his arms out funny and his palms towards the audience. Definately a leprachaun-tortoise hybrid as you all say lol!
