I can't imagine how terrifying it must have been for the crew trapped in the Russian sub. They must have been dreading a re-enactment of the Kursk tragedy.

Thank goodness foreign help was available and accepted in good time and they got the sub back to the surface before the air ran out.

Anyone work out why the crew are being made to eat 'dairy products' as part of their treatment?

But all I can say is that I felt like gulping fresh air on their behalf. What an awful dilemma for them and their families. Truly awful .... but with the best possible outcome.

We watched this with great interest and were really glad to see that they were rescued with no loss of life.
