Our one and only Gold at the World Athletics and it was great to see Paula Ratcliffe face her demons and win it for Team GB! All in all, it has been appalling for GB as we have only won Paula's medal and 2 bronze (100m men's relay and 400m women's relay). Kelly Southerton in the Heptathlon came close but no cigar! I think the Gold medal to Paula will mean a whole lot more than just becoming the World Champion and at it banishes that sad image of her in Athens!

We all sat and watched this start to finish and we were willing her to win. I must admit to sheding a tear for her when she crossed the finish line as World Champion!
