View Full Version : Dead Factor
Scooby 21-08-2005, 09:43 PM It all seems rather old hat now doesn't it?
The judges all look mighty tired by the whole experience and that was only the first episode. It's like they're wrenching the new popstar reality tv crown from Michelle McManus's sweaty grasp - as if they pretty much know not a lot is going to come from this but they're being offered a fat lot of cash for it anyway so they might as well.
Despite all this, I will be watching avidly. I still worship Sharon.
cheerio!

I most strongly beg to differ here Scooby, I just couldn't get enough - I watched the Xtra Factor catch up on ITV2 then the X Factor then swiftly switched over to another Xtra Factor, 3 hours and I was still gagging for more.
Coastie 22-08-2005, 07:04 AM I like Cat am an X-Factor junkie....
I like Cat
I like you too :wink_kiss

Oh me too Cat!
Bonsai 22-08-2005, 10:03 AM I have to admit that i cant stand the initial stages of X-factor, Pop Idol etc .... It bores me to tears so i cant watch.
I only tend to tune in when it gets to the live finalists. Thats when it gets interesting as someone gets voted off weekly.
I only managed to watch the main programme as the other programmes clashed with the footie and Casualty but I hope to watch everything next week as I love the X Factor!
Tigereye 22-08-2005, 02:26 PM ooooooOoo bons I'm the opposite - I LURVE the auditions ! Cringemaking car crash telly - excellent!!!
Loved the two 16 year olds - you could almost see the greed in the judges eyes when they came upon two talented young ones with good manners [read easily manipulated!!] as opposed to the stage school 'me me me's...........
Coastie 22-08-2005, 02:36 PM Still think you should have applied though TE,,, :bag:

Have you heard her sing :shocking:
MariaRob 22-08-2005, 04:14 PM Thought the X factor on Saturday was fab. Still great telly, made by Simon Cowell. Think they should have had another judge rather than Louis though. Just loved the 19 year old singer (who looked 40 if she was a day) who blubbed to the cameras (how do they embarrass themselves in front of the world?) when she got three "nos" and her family and boyfriend went in to the judges on bended knees - buttock clenching and great TV.
Popsicle 22-08-2005, 07:13 PM I love the auditions too, although I don't know why people who can't sing for toffee would put themselves through all that waiting and then looking silly in front of millions of people. Still, they could always end up in a Pizza advert I suppose.... :naughty:
And Simon is brilliant, it would not be the X factor without his caustic comments.
I didn't know this was back on! I will of course be hooked and giving post performance criticism. Need something juicy to get stuck into

Oh you are in SUCH deep doo doo!

I'm the opposite Bonnie.....I love the auditions, but I lose interest once it gets towards the finals :)

I thought her drunken rendition of 'wild rover' sung with her bra flying high whilst stood on a wobbly bar stool in the Reef Bar at Waterloo was the best I've ever heard from a drunken woman who waved her bra around whilst being perched on a bar stool (sorry Patsy but it's true...you were good but TE was fantastic!)... :photo:
