I watched this last night and one question (well, there are probably a few but one I need to know):
The coffin that Jack smashed up - was it empty?
Although I have watched this and could answer your question Bella, I have decided not to discuss any episodes that the C4 viewers haven't seen yet.
As I know from my own experience that it is just to tempting just to have a peak at what is said even though you really don't want to know and it does spoil the surprise when you watch it.
Bella 26-08-2005, 09:10 AM Could you possibly PM then? It would be much appreciated! ;)
Ok....... give me a minute
Aondeag 26-08-2005, 09:33 AM .
it was (look down a bit further)
empty
Bella 26-08-2005, 09:47 AM Thanks ILS for pming me and putting me out of my misery and thanks Aondeag!
Minklemar 26-08-2005, 12:39 PM Sorry - I'm not as patient as ILS - I'm going to have to talk about the episodes as I see them. So if I do spoil it for anyone else then I'm sorry - but the post are spoilered so you shouldn't be peeking if you don't want to know!!
Any idea what all the dolls were about? The ones lying around where the Jack found the coffin....I think they're probably relevent, but can't work out why.
I'm really liking Charlie and Harley....I wonder how long Charlie can make his drugs last - he's surely got to start running low soon.
I can't work out why Boone (I think that's his name - the young guy with the sellfish sister) stole the water....did he steal it or just move it so no-one else could steal it?
Does anyone know how pregnant the pregnant girl it? I don't know much about these things, but she looks ready to pop!!
I liked her chat with Kate.
I quote like Sawer, but I can't understand why the others are letting him get away with trading things that aren't even his.....they're going to have to put a stop to that surely?
Aondeag 26-08-2005, 12:50 PM Hi..
Claire is 8 months pregnant,
ooh it's so hard to talk about Lost and not give anything away.
All i'll say is..keep watching it and take note of EVERYTHING that is said and all that you see.
Yes..charlie is a lovely wee fellow..and Hurley is great too.
Sawyer is so gorgeous...mean...moody....sooooooooooooo swarthy.
Babe.
I love the way he calls Kate 'Freckles'....
Bella 26-08-2005, 01:03 PM I am still confused about Jack's dad - where is the body? And where is Locke - he never came back did he? I was half expecting Jack to find some kids with all the dolls.
I am really liking Charlie and am begining to forget that he was ever a hobbit! I think his drugs problem is going to be a big issue soon and I don't envy Claire having to have a natural birth! eeeek!
Aondeag 26-08-2005, 01:06 PM I never actually saw 'lord of the rings' or hobbbits n' things so for me Charlie is just a typical guy...
(apart from the drug dependency ..of course)
ooh wait till you see what happens!
impatient!
Minklemar 26-08-2005, 01:19 PM Claire is 8 months pregnant,
Thanks :)
Oh....let me think there's 25 episodes......surely she MUST go into labour on the island!!
Aondeag 26-08-2005, 02:29 PM I'm saying nuthin!
sayin nuthin to nobody!
re. empty coffin.. I too was like meh? But then I though, logically that maybe it was simply that the airline never put the body on board. Remember the kerfuffle at the check-in desk where Jack was saying he 'neeeeeded to doo this' , and she was all sympathetic but 'really i can't'. Did they just stick the coffin on and leave the body behind? That's what I thought was logical.. but than I'm not sure if that's what would actually happen.
karenh 28-08-2005, 09:09 PM Heyyyyy - so I'm not the only one who can't wait until Wednesday night for their fix of Lost on C4.
Andrea 31-08-2005, 10:17 PM Well I was tempted to come in here before tonight, but I resisted and I'm proud of myself.
But I don't mind others talking about the episodes shown on E4, as long as they are in spoilers.
The empty coffin??? I think that might have something to do with the island.
And we wondered if the dolls were a sign that the pregnant girl is going to have a girl?
The all seeing Island?!?!?
I guessed about the Alice in Wonderland link and Jack having to follow his white rabbit.
Now I'm going to look at every episodes title and see if I can guess what it's about.
And also, the conversation between Locke and Jack about how maybe his hallucinations could have been real/the centre of the island is lovely as Locke put it.
I wonder if they all have a kind of trauma/event/task to do on this island and they were all meant to be on the island together, to get through these tasks.
I'll probably look back on this in a few weeks and see what garbage I've written here
Coastie 01-09-2005, 07:53 PM Matthew Fox with his top off....and then something else happened but I lost track from that point!
I taped this on wednesday and when we went to watch it last night it has only recorded 10 mins because of the storm. Is this going to be repeated anywhere, anytime, anyplace - anyone know?
Cat, According to Haydon's TV Listings this episode is repeated on C4 at 6.30pm on Sunday evening

Bloody marvelous - thanks for that ils.
I didn't get why the coffin was empty. Surely the airline wouldn't put an empty coffin on. I wonder if the body has been stolen.
I missed bits too thanks to the storm, so good to know it's repeated tomorrow night!
