View Full Version : Spooks
Bonsai 07-09-2005, 09:44 AM Did anyone else see the clips for this ...... it'll be back soon :w00t:
I adore this show as its gritty, and they dont mind being contraversial. Who will forget the pretty blond M15 officer who had her face shoved in a vat of boiling chip fat
Coastie 07-09-2005, 09:46 AM I have to confess Bonnie......I AM REALLY REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS......I have enjoyed the pasts series and am looking forward to seeing where they take it next....
Bonsai 07-09-2005, 09:48 AM I was gutted when the last leader left (you know, Mr.Darcy in the new Pride and Prejudice film). The new guy was a tad smarmy .... but mightily good looking.
Coastie 07-09-2005, 09:50 AM I always thought Tom was a little young looking for his role and I quite like his replacement but again as totty goes he just isn't dark enough...although he did go a bit rough last series! :naughty:

THAT was one scene I will never, ever forget, Bonnie! I was completely stunned afterwards! It was Lisa Faulkener that ended up deep fried in that episode!
I love Spooks and I miss Tom and will miss Zoe (is that the right name) as I thought she was good - wonder who will replace her?
Spooks and Waking the Dead - what more could a girl ask for?! :)
I am ecstatic that my two favourite programmes are on soon. I love spooks and as I missed a lot of season two I ended up recording all season three and watching them plus the ones I'd missed from two over a week! That’s some viewing.
I will miss the original three. I haven't really taken to the new couple (Adam and Fiona) but I like the very intelligent ever so nutty as a fruitcake Ruth.
I was so chuffed when Danny managed to reunite Zoe and her boyfriend.
Looking back it's spooky just how close to home a lot of the episodes are. Anyone remember the young suicide bombers being groomed in series 2.
Not so far fetched anymore.
I am soooooooooo excited about the new series, although sad that there will be no more Tom - hes soooooo sexy :naughty: (btw, did you know that him and "Zoe" are together in rl - the lucky lucky cow!!!!)
I remember the Suicide Bomber episode Bob, scarey isnt it!!! The only problem is, I am getting more and more cynical about the REAL Government cover ups and how much we really dont know!!
Does anyone know the start date yet?
Bella 07-09-2005, 07:49 PM Isis, it starts on 12th Sept at 9pm on BBC1.
Here is the BBC website: Spooks (http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/spooks/)
I read through this and completely forgot that Danny got shot at the end of the last series, and thinking of it maybe I didn't see the last episode as I surely would have remembered that.............wouldn't I?

Cheers for that Bella, I was going to post "does anyone know when it starts?" lol - so thanks for the answer.
Mr P is chuffed this is back on, its one of his favourites.

bella, it was right at the very end. Danny and Fiona were held hostage and Adam (fiona's husband) was put in the impossible position of choosing which one would die, he wouldn't choose and Danny probably trying to make it easier for him started getting lippy with terrorist and they just turned round and shot him- ever so quick over in a flash. very sad. All team were listening on the phone.
I'm sure they will recap at the start tonight.
Don't forget it's also on tomorrow night too!
Popsicle 11-09-2005, 08:54 PM I have watched all of "Spooks" so far, but can I be the first to say I did not like the Tom character?
I always found him rather humourless and grim, he seemed to rush around looking all manly and serious all the time.
Still, I am looking forward to the new series, and it looks a good start tomorrow judging from the trailers.
Bonsai 12-09-2005, 09:18 AM I cant believe though that this clashes with Rose and Mallony
Excellent stuff.
There's always a mole though isn't there?
Bella 13-09-2005, 06:50 AM It was good wasn't it? So.........who is the mole?
Bonsai 13-09-2005, 08:38 AM I recorded this last night and watched Rose and Mallony (which was excellent). I didnt realise it was a two parter though, so i will have to record tonights too as Mr.B isnt home until 9pm.
It was good wasn't it? So.........who is the mole?
The dark haired older bird that has "history" with Harry!! Well thats my guess, as the new bloke who is with Adam would be far too obvious!
forgot to say, its on again tonight remember!!!!!!!
Bonsai 14-09-2005, 08:46 AM It was good wasnt it :) I recorded both episodes and watched the whole lot last night - so i didnt go to bed until late !!!
I really enjoyed it, and im so glad this top show is back on our TV screens again.
Patsy 14-09-2005, 09:25 AM I'm not sure about this Adam character. Or maybe it's the actor. He's very wooden. Not bad looking, though. Reminds me a bit of Ian Ogilvy (the Saint part deux). Prefer Tom.

OOOhhhh i like Adam. I wouldnt kick him out of bed
I couldnt understand though why he stayed with Martine at the end, willing to blow himself up and keep her company - when he has a wife and child waiting for him at home. I know protecting people is his job, but why would you conciously decide to kill yourself holding hands with a virtual stranger ?
Tigereye 14-09-2005, 11:42 AM 'cos he's a muppet.
I thought that bit was a little lame to be honest. Smacked too much of Die Hard and predictability......

LOL TE, just tell like you think sweetie! I am with Patsy on this one I am not sure about Adam either. If I had chosen to stay I would have phoned my other half to say goodbye at least! I would have preferred it if he had jumped into bed with Martine McCutcheon for a bit of 'ows your father though!
Bring back Tom!
Coastie 22-09-2005, 09:01 AM All a little far fetched but hey it's a reasonable bit of escapism I suppose!
Bella 23-09-2005, 10:23 AM Anyone see our Isis pop as Auntie May? Fab disguise Isis, very good! Where is next secret mission? :ninja:
Coastie 23-09-2005, 10:27 AM Anyone see our Isis pop as Auntie May? Fab disguise Isis, very good! Where is next secret mission? :ninja:
She's dead! Or was that just really good play dead in a tub acting! :naughty:
has anyone else done the interactive quiz after the show?
I had a crack at it last night and was totally pants...all my fellow agents would be comprimised and probably dead by the time I finished my training....it didn't help that I was being leapt on by rats and my remote was playing up at the time but still....I should have done better...disgusted with myself! :bag:
Bella 23-09-2005, 11:04 AM Whooops, sorry about that! I was watching it from the tape and hadn't watched it all before I posted my goof! Sorry to see that Isis came to a watery end. :(
I tried to do the quiz last week Coastie but I couldn't even get into it, so looks like I am not destined to be a spy! :bag:
Bonsai 23-09-2005, 12:43 PM I was dissapointed in last nights episode. I rushed home from the pub to watch it, as i forgot to set the recorder ... and i wish i hadnt bothered. I kept waiting for it to get exciting, and waiting, and waiting.
Well Im confused now.....
We watched it at 10.30 on BBC3 as we missed the beginning on BBC1 as we had been out......so did I watch the next episode by mistake????? And if so, is last nights 9.00pm one repeated at all????
Bella 23-09-2005, 01:01 PM Isis - you did watch next week's epside! You were in the one at 9pm!! :w00t:

I got close to punching Harry as he was so smug at telling me I was pants!
Pandora 24-09-2005, 03:24 PM I want Matthew McFaddyen back. I hate this new guy and his blonde wimpy looks. Rubbish actor too.

Sorry but he's off 'Pride and Prejudicing' at the mo!

Totally agree Pan, don't like the missus very much either - they are way too smarmy for my liking!
Bonsai 20-10-2005, 08:40 AM Is anyone still watching this ?
I have to say that my interest has waned as i havent been enjoying the storylines. They seem to deal with terrorists all the time, but surely that isnt the only threat to the UK ?
But i think tonights should be good as one of the central characters dies :wink2:
