I am shocked! I really thought that Kaiser Cheifs were going to do it!

What shocked me more was the music that actually won  when I heard a track on Jo Whiley this morning, I thought my radio had retuned to some bizarre station, it wasnt what I am used to hearing I suppose, I was thinking to myself wtf is this noise.......although I have to admit, it has haunted me all bluddy day, so watch this space, I will probably be raving about Anthony and the Johnsons very soon

read all about it........BBC Radio One (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/news/newsbeat/050906_mercuryprize.shtml)

they played some of their music on Steve Wright this afternoon, and well, not my kind of thing I think.

The song going something like this "I was born a boy, and grow into a woman one day"

Steve Wright then said "better check his passport":w00t:

I think everyone is shocked at the result of this.

I know it sounds mad, but I am desperate to hear a track again just to see if it really is awful or I got it wrong

Out of all of them, I've only heard KT Tunstall's album fully, and also Hard Fi's - both of which are ace. I've heard some of The Go! Team's album and if the rest of it lives up to that standard I should really buy it. Download the single Bottle Rocket by the way.

Can't really comment on the Kaiser Chiefs - I like their singles. Same with The Magic Numbers, although I've managed to acquire their album so I can get back to you on that.

cheerio!

The voice really seemed to grate on my nerves

I too wanted and thought the Kaiser Chiefs to win. Oh Well!

I've never heard of them, but according to our local radio station, they are from West Sussex - so they must be good
