View Full Version : Natalie needs oxygen after task
Haydon 22-11-2004, 08:39 PM "Natalie Appleton, has been given oxygen after nearly fainting following her jungle tightrope task, Canopy Calamity.
The pop singer, 31, had to complete the "bush tucker trial" after the public voted for her to undergo the challenge.
The singer has been distressed since arriving on the show, breaking down on several occasions.
Before she successfully finished her task, she cried out: "Mummy, I can't do this...I'm not happy. Help me!"

Did she do well? Or is she a drama queen?
jonnyboy 22-11-2004, 08:43 PM not a huge fan of her but she did well and seemed genuinly scared
She did do well and seemed very scared but the phrase "milking it" springs to mind
jaycee 22-11-2004, 08:49 PM Well, I'm not a fan, in fact she has irritated me from minute 1 but the girl did good tonight, I couldn't have done it - she was truly truly terrified but did it anyway - good for her. Just spoilt it a bit when she got back to camp to tell them all the reason she didn't get all the stars was cos the rest were just too high for her..........not quite how I remembered it but credit were credit is due.............at least she didn't cry!
Cherie Bakewell 22-11-2004, 08:49 PM For somone so pathetic she sure got it together
Have to give her a pat on the back for that tonight!!
Still don't like her though....
She did do well :) but I don't like her either!
Is it me though, or does she look like a smacked arse?

Beautifully put!!
Andrea 22-11-2004, 09:03 PM I must also say well done to her, she did really well and looked genuinly terrified, even though it came across like she was 12 years old.
I don't think the camp were expecting much either, so I think they were pleasantly surprised when she came back with 7 stars.
Pandora 22-11-2004, 09:08 PM She did do well and seemed very scared but the phrase "milking it" springs to mind :dry:Peej, that must be the understatment of the century.
Natalie has decided to play the role of "the baby" in this series, just like Kerry before her ....
Ive no doubt she was a little scared tonight but myyyyyyy goddddddddd what an actress !!!!!!
And yes ILS - smacked **** indeed
Voice of reason 22-11-2004, 09:08 PM Yes, she did well, but I'm puzzled (it doesn't take much) how did the star that got stuck end up in her basket? First in was on the wire blocking her way and the next minute it was in her basket (and it was the first) I'm quite sure Nat didn't bend down and pick it up, so how did it get there?
Ceridwen 22-11-2004, 09:09 PM Maybe it fell out of Fran's backside when Joe was inspecting it.

No, they weren't up there with her.
Andrea 22-11-2004, 09:16 PM I think the star that got stuck on the wire fell to the ground, but then I didn't notice another star in the trolley until she got the next one.
but that could just be me not seeing things:rolleyes:
I'm starting to get a little dubious of this whole I'm scared of everything routine. Everyone watch me overcome my fears on national TV, see how brave I am, vote for me to win - after all it worked for Kerry last year so why shouldn't it work again.
I think 'milking it' is putting it mildly Pandora. :)

I think 'milking it' is putting it mildly Pandora. :) Well it was actually Peej that called it milking it.
Personally Id call it, "attention seeking idiot thinking the british public are all so stupid that we will believe anything" :glare:
The stars dropping at timed intervals all seemed very staged to me, she shouldnt have actually have got any, if they HAD have been falling at equally timed intervals. And as Voicey said, the star stuck on the wire, fell to the ground - so how did it end up in the whingeing ninny's shopping trolley?
karenh 22-11-2004, 09:56 PM Well, I do think she was scared, but yes I also think she was milking it BIGTIME!
I'm not keen on heights myself, but frankly I'd rather do that than have a load of creepy crawlies chucked all over me!
All the screeching and threats of fainting were pretty irritating all in all, but the one comment she made which really made me want to puke was "I'm doing this for my chilren". Huh? Why!
I don't think Natalie looks like a smacked **** (I think she's quite pretty myself), but I DO think she looks way to skinny! That catsuit made her looklike a bag of bones!
Eat a sandwich girl, for Gods sake!
The screeching and a'wailing 'I'm scared' is obviously a mantra for Nat's life. It has helped her cope in the past, she will have got the attention, support and help that she has needed.
Now when the attention and help is not so readily available - she is more than quite capable of sorting herself out.
She is a whinger, and not an attractive whinger - demanding so much from all around her - but she will get there in the end.
And yes karen - bearing in mind she has not long had a baby I would have expected her to be a big rounder onthe hips - yukky skiny boney minny!!
but the one comment she made which really made me want to puke was "I'm doing this for my chilren". Huh? Why!
lmao! exactly what I was thinking too!
