I think that its almost odds on that TV leper, Noel Edmunds, may be considered. His career is so far down the pan, its untrue.

I agree, and personally I think hving a paedophile like Gary Glitter on the show is a major no-no. The man shouldnt be given oxygen to breathe, let alone air time on TV.

Lol, the Nov 05 in the title refers to the year, Andrea.... All I know is that its deffo in November. Ant and Dec said so in the Radio Times. Its usually around the end of Nov isnt it?

A Foreign Office spokeswoman confirmed that the British Embassy in the capital Phnom Penh had been informed that the 57-year-old was in Cambodia, and were working with the police.

Glitter could reportedly face deportation if local authorities decide he is an undesirable resident.

Pol Phiphey, the police chief for immigration in Phnom Penh, told the AFP news agency that Glitter's passport had been seized and would be returned on Tuesday.

The disgraced star, who was jailed for four months in 1999 for downloading thousands of pornographic images from the internet, was said to have set up home in the Cambodian capital six months ago.

He was pictured by a British newspaper on Saturday with a young girl who arrived at his flat with her mother.

Cambodian authorities were alerted to Glitter's whereabouts after receiving calls from the British press.

Pol Phiphey said Glitter's passport had been seized after the former rock star failed to inform authorities about his previous convictions or his intentions to stay in Cambodia.

"I did not know about his offences, I only recently heard of them," Mr Phiphey said.

A spokesman for the British embassy in the city said his staff were working closely with local authorities but gave no further information.

Child pornography

It is understood investigations are under way into whether Glitter is legally allowed to travel without telling British authorities, as he is on the UK sex offenders' list.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We support efforts to prevent the abuse of children by British paedophiles overseas and to detect and apprehend offenders.

"We work with governments, regional authorities and law enforcement agencies to tackle paedophilia wherever it occurs."

The pop star served two months of a four-month sentence after admitting 54 charges of possessing child pornography downloaded from the internet.

The singer admitted making indecent images of children under 16 between January and November 1997.

He had downloaded material from the internet that included images of girls as young as two being abused.

The conviction ended his pop career.

Glitter was released from prison in January 2000 and is on the sex offenders' register in the UK under his real name Paul Francis Gadd.

Following his release, he moved to Cuba but was later expelled by the Cuban authorities.

Gary Glitter keeps a boat in my home town and some incriminating stuff was found on there to!

I had no idea Gary Glitter was a local boat person, Coastie ... how shocking! Im afraid I shall always remember him fondly from my youth (when I was about 7-8 yrs old) ... can't help it I'm afraid. Obviously before everyone jumps down my throat my fond memories stick in my throat now since later revelations ... but one can't help ones memories!
