View Full Version : Natalie.....All an act or not????
Missessex 23-11-2004, 10:42 AM I've just been watching This Morning and Jordan reckons Natalie was faking her fear last night whilst doing her challenge!!
I can't see it somehow, she really did look scared. Now that she has completed her task, this will hopefully give her some confidence to see this through.
I'm lovin Joe!!
longshot 23-11-2004, 12:01 PM Absolutely an act.
She's just looking for everyone to turn around and say what a brave old thing she's being.
Andrea 23-11-2004, 12:09 PM I personally don't think its an act, I think she was genuinly terrified.
Its just the way she reacts is the problem, she comes over as though she is just nine years old. Thats probably due to having her own way all her life, pout and stamp your feet and you get want you want.
Hehe, come to my house and you won't:laugh:
isleofweather 23-11-2004, 12:54 PM An act mixed in with irrational fear.
SHe looks anerexic to me, she acts like a child to elicite attention. Horrible baby talk and attention seeking - its just what everyone fears and hates that a celeb would be if you were to meet them.
She won't last long
and the accent is killing me
Missessex 23-11-2004, 02:48 PM What is that accent all about??? Fake LA? I thought she was from London??

She's Canadian Missessex.
sheoque 23-11-2004, 03:08 PM I am NOT afraid of heights, I have in my time done all sorts of silly stuff dangling from rockfaces, but I would not have enjoyed that trial. The way she walked meant she had had a bit of training but it looked hard. I did wonder if she could have put one foot on the trolly and scootered abit........

I would have like to see one foot on the trolley and her scooting right of the end!!

LOL Buzz
I am terrified of heights and I don't think I could have done that trial,
I'm not sure she is as terrified as she made out.

I am truley terrified of heights and would have been physically/mentally unable to even go near the edge. She is a total fake who should be made to stand in the corner untill she developes a personality.
She irritates the hell out of me and like Buzz says...she should have whizzed off the end to oblivion and beyond!!!.
PS All the above aside, she did do very well to do that task.
jonnyboy 23-11-2004, 03:57 PM I think she has been putting on an act to try and get the sympathy vote, but I do believe she was a tad scared in the task...the phrase milking it comes to mind
"you better give me a big hug for this liam"
Minklemar 23-11-2004, 04:09 PM Is she the one who went out with Robbie Williams and a Gallagher brother or the one that dated Jamie Theakston?
jonnyboy 23-11-2004, 04:11 PM Its her sister that is with Laim Gallagher, she is with Liam from the prodigy (I think)
isleofweather 23-11-2004, 04:34 PM I must add about Fear of Heights - one has a real fear of heights when there is a real chance that if you fell you would hurt yourself or die, that fear is diluted if there is NO Chance of death etc - she had a harness on the size of Milton Keynes for gawds sake!
karenb34 23-11-2004, 04:34 PM I'm terrified of heights and would have frozen to the spot after one step....she had to be faking it as there is no way she could have walked backwards when she did. Anyone who is scared of heights would know that. She's going for the sympathy vote and she's annoying and pathetic. I would have loved to see her scoot off on the trolley too
www.JoePasquale.com 23-11-2004, 04:40 PM Hiya,
I think it was definantly an act! I mean one minute she's screaming she can't do she can't do it - then the next she's walking so quickly and focused across that wire?! When she forgot to put her act on she was fine. I'm not saying it's easy and I know she was scared....but it's def an act! She needs oxygen then the next second she's doing star jumps and jumping around the place....and then....goes back to camp all grumpy and oh it was horrible etc. lol can you tell that I kinda want her out!? Just don't touch any more tress Nat!

JOE 2 WIN!

Not necessarily, sometimes it is totally irrational.
With a true fear of heights you would be totally convinced that the harness wouldn't work, even though you know it had been tested out 100's of times before you. The same way if the plane is going to crash it will be when you are on it.
Its a very powerfull experience and one I certainly can't overcome without some external influence...valium/alcohol etc. It has frozen me to the spot in extreme fear more than once and no amount of coaxing would help me.
Her walking backwards gave it away big time.

karenh 23-11-2004, 05:24 PM I agree with Andrea. I do think she was genuinely scared, although I don't think she was as terrified as she pretended to be. Basically, its completely natural to be frightend when you are 200 feet up in the air, harness or not! But all that wailing about it was pure attention seeking and I do think she was exaggerating her fear for the sake of sympathy.
She definitely doesn't have a phobia about heights though or she wouldn't have been able to do the task, but then she never claimed to have one.
I think I'd have felt the same as Natalie with that task, although I hope I'd have done it without all drama. I personally haven't got a phobia about heights, but I'm definitely not keen on them and sometimes have difficulty overcoming a sense of panic if I'm high up or looking down over a sheer drop. But despite that, I was still able to get up on the roof of our house and down again when our cat got stuck there once, and I was shaking all the way!
So, I can totally under that Natalie would be really scared, but still able to do the task. All the drama was a bit unecessary though.
sheoque 23-11-2004, 05:32 PM I think fran or was it Brian was more of a wimp over a wee widget creature going up his shorts; he's not a fetish man then! is he a wimp? he was not scared, he was just worried about his pistachios.
I don't recall a thread suggesting he was awuss or did i miss it.

Karenh, she did. When she was walking up to the trial she was mumbling she could do anything as long as it didnt' involve heights...when she got there she put her hands on her knee's and said, "its heights, its the one thing I can't do...you know that"
Fake ****.

But Fran couldn't see what was biting him, and it was actually attached to his gonads, wheras Natalie could see what was going on. For what it's worth, I think she was scared and her hyper-ventillation and subsequent dizziness was for real, but she hammed it up with the squealing no doubt.
When I am truly terrified I go dead quiet, not a peep out of me, it's great!
I believe she was genuinely scared but I honestly think that inside she was laughing when she was getting oxygen - what a waste of time that was! And she was obviously revelling in telling the others about "the most terrying experience of my life - terror, utter terror!"
Go home :glare:
karenh 23-11-2004, 09:31 PM Karenh, she did. When she was walking up to the trial she was mumbling she could do anything as long as it didnt' involve heights...when she got there she put her hands on her knee's and said, "its heights, its the one thing I can't do...you know that"
Fake ****.
Oh - I didn't catch that bit in between all the bleating!
Voice of reason 23-11-2004, 09:35 PM She looked happy enough tonight though.
