It started yesterday. It was made in the UK so I was wondering if any of you watched or used to watch it (depends if it's still on the television over there!) :kid:

I watched a couple of them cos my son loves any programme where they blow things up ... all in the name of science of course! One of the presenters is an ex-Big Brother UK contestant, Jon Tickle. JakeyBoy 28-09-2005, 06:58 AM OK cool. Yeah I noticed that they just blew things up. One thing didn't blow up so they got explosives and did it anyway. :kid: Andrea 28-09-2005, 09:02 AM All our family love this program, even my 4 and 6 year old. We are on series 3 at the moment I think, and last week they had people eating a plate of peas to see which was the most effective way of eating them. The traditional scoop method, the squash and scoop method, or the stab method. The traditional scoop method won.:w00t: And last series they had John Tickle walking on custard in a swimming pool, but when he stopped still, he sank, fabbo program:thumbsup: Bonsai 28-09-2005, 09:24 AM And last series they had John Tickle walking on custard in a swimming pool, but when he stopped still, he sank, fabbo program:thumbsup: Did he die ???? Was there an ambulence team on standby :shocking: :bag: Andrea 28-09-2005, 09:57 AM Did he die ???? Was there an ambulence team on standby :shocking: :bag: Lol Bonnie, the pool wasn't that deep, so he sank down to his knees, but it was really tough for them to pull him out because of the properties of the cornflour in the custard, when he tried to move it stuck to him really fast. Actually you can do this experiment at home, well don't fill your swimming pool up with custard, (if you've got a swimming pool that is) but get a bowl, put in a mixture of cornflour and water, and when you tap the mixture it goes solid, but when you pick it up, it runs out of your fingers like a liquid. My kids love doing this. Patsy 28-09-2005, 11:49 AM I saw that one. Wasn't it amazing?! My boys love this programme. I don't mind it, but just wish Richard Hammond was a tad taller. :naughty: Bonsai 28-09-2005, 11:56 AM but just wish Richard Hammond was a tad taller. :naughty: Oh i dont know, i think he is quite perfect just the way he is :w00t: Tigereye 29-09-2005, 11:45 AM ooooh me too. LURVE Richard.........[wheres the drool smilie?!] Got a real 'knowing' way about him. Bet you he's great in the sack race....:cool2: oooh I've gone all tingly... JakeyBoy 29-09-2005, 04:27 PM lol... PJ 29-09-2005, 04:34 PM I like this program. It's a pity that I cannot stand Jon Tickle though. JakeyBoy 29-09-2005, 04:47 PM So is that Jon Tickle dude the host- the guy that walks around that building and talks...HOSTS  ? JakeyBoy 20-10-2005, 12:13 PM OK. I love the show and all but there is this one bit in it that pi**es me off so much. I CAN DO SCIENCE ME! Grrrr it frustrates me! Not the segment but the little yellow scully thingy (the logo for the show) and when he says I can do science me! 1. The way he/she/it says it is annoying 2. The name of the segment makes no sense!!! It's probably some British slang but it irritates me. I CAN DO SCIENCE ME The 'me' part is what annoys me. The 'me' shouldn't be there. The 'I' at the start already tells you that whoever says it can do science. The 'me' is pointless. It may be natural to you guys but it is really weird to me (I'm an english freak and if anything seems wrong I must correct it!). And to top it all off, my sister won't stop saying it now! :ranting: |
