Coastie 01-10-2005, 05:03 PM Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :wallbash:
Ghost 01-10-2005, 05:45 PM You having a bad too Coastie?
Fee For All 01-10-2005, 06:10 PM Well none of them sofar have been particularly outstanding...
Dolores 01-10-2005, 06:14 PM Poor old Sharon had some of the biggest duds in her group didn't she! Dorothy, Justine and Chico (who gobsmackingly got through!) to name but three who stuck out for me!
So far I like
In Louis Camp: Nicohoas the sexy black bloke, Brown Eyed Girl (who got through to boot camp last year), cropped hair bloke and the black girl with the straight shoulder length hair.
In Simon's Camp: The two blonde surfer type guys, forth face (I think - the ones who Simon didn't like their image) and the Girls with Attitude.
In Sharon's Camp: The black bin man, the black girl with the long straight hair.
I have to laugh when they come back in a group of say five or six to see if they stay or go ... I mean everyone in Dorothy or Justin(e)'s groups must have known they were going even before it was announced!!!! ... those in Chico's group are probably as gobsmacked as me that any group with him in would go through!
Wish boot camp would last a bit longer.
I suspect that Kate is looking through ITV's "book of frumpy frocks" as we type for the live shows.

Me too Dol! Kate looks so much better in seperates than a frock it is a pity her stylist can't come up with some some glam separates for her to wear.
How on earth did Chico get through
My faves so far are all 'The Boybands'
Fee For All 01-10-2005, 06:21 PM That girl at Sharon's was very angry.
I always think it's scary when people goquietly angry in that way. You never know whether it'll blow over, or blow up.

she was absolutely gobsmacked wasn't she! truly amazed that she hadn't got through! does one admire that amount of self belief or pity the fool?!
I think it was unnecessary to get "Andy" to remove her ... but I suppose Sharon thought it made for a powerful tv clip ... which they have shown ad nauseum tonight before it happened!!! (Yawn!).
Bella 01-10-2005, 06:26 PM I just caught the end of this as we went out for tea tonight - I only saw a bit of Sharons and like everyone else was a bit gobsmacked at the ones who actually got through. Chico, I missed his bit first time round and by God he was so up his own ar$e but he was also absolute sh8te, like a lot of the others. The girl who got angry, one word pathetic Sharon was right to let her go and notice the girl who begged & pleaded also got dumped! Felt a bit sorry for Sam the Gardener but if you only get one chance, then you really got to give it some welly and he just didn't.
Anything exciting happen in the first 45 minutes?
Eternity 01-10-2005, 07:36 PM    It's no good, I just can't take anymore - this boot camp thing is breaking my heart and I've got panda eyes now!:cry:
Fee For All 01-10-2005, 07:41 PM Out of Louis' lot, I like the black girl who seems very level headed as well as a strong voice. Little Trevor seems to be getting camper by the moment.
I do wish they'd spend more time covering boot camp. I can't really tell many of them apart yet.

I thought Sharon did the right thing. The woman was seriously angry and needed a metaphorical slap!
I once dealt with a chap in a redundancy situation who was like that and he just snapped and threw a punch at me.
Enjoying tonights show. Felt it was a shame that that the young welsh lad in Louis group didn't get through. I know he kept forgetting his words but he is much better than the little lad James. Can you imagine anyone buying his records? He is cute but he has a childs voice.
I liked everyone Simon put through apart from the last boy band.
Hope Fortune get through to the live show- they are really good.
Bella 01-10-2005, 08:15 PM I am confused!! I thought Chico had gone, I just don't get it with him!
Eternity, I am so with you on the panda eyes, it was very sad wasn't it?
Did the young black girl that came in with her daughter get through?
And notice this year they are taking 4 acts through to the final.
Dolores 01-10-2005, 08:21 PM I have to say the judges all made good choices. They put through all the ones I liked although Sharon put through a few I wasn't keen on ... most notably bleedin' Chico!!! Who, except the dotty middle aged wife of a doped up old rocker, would find him charming? .... or am I missing something? He really personifies the phrase "makes my skin crawl"!!! ... he's like Darius without the charm!
I was so sad that Sam and Daniel didn't get through. Daniel's voice was superb but Sam didn't pull it out did he. I can understand Louis not putting Daniel through though as he would have just sailed through on the sympathy vote. Lovely lovely inspiring young man who will no doubt do well in his life.
Non of the others have grabbed me yet, I just need a little time to grieve Sam and Daniel before I can move on.
Random_Spark 02-10-2005, 12:09 PM I agree that I think we should see more of the bootcamp shows, even to the point where I would like one show devoted to each group and show them over 3 weeks - frankly you could cram everything worth watching from the nauseating and eternal "audition" shows into a one-hour special (call it "Saddos and Fruit Loops to make you feel better about your feeble existence" if you like :wink2: ).
The editing favours certain artists so obviously that it's clear who will probably progress right from the off - with certain additional "characters" clearly highlighted for emotional impact alone.
As for Chico progressing to the final seven, well that just emphasises what a joke this show really is - he couldn't look any more like a plant if he was wearing a necklace of Baby Bio bottles :wallbash:
maxine 02-10-2005, 12:30 PM I like Trevor, the 16 year old with glasses. What a great voice. Not keen on the other 16 year old James, though.
I felt sorry for the welsh bloke who obviously has a good voice but just lost his bottle. Seemed a nice fella.
I can't fathom why Sharon picked Chico, a complete tosser if ever I saw one, or the bloke who looked like a junkie/skeletor. Made me think of that loser she picked last year who's name escapes me.

Do you mean Tabby, Max?

That's the one!

Hello Fee for all,
I don't recall hearing this one sing. But I do remember seeing the look of seething and anxious anger. I also remember her comments about having tried for years to get a break and no one giving her a chance. Sharon's response was equally tactless referring to not liking her attitude and that she just wasn't nice to know.
How good or how bad this one would have been remains to be seen, however it is obvious that she was seriously upset having laid so much hope and stored up her expectations to have gone through and then been knocked back. but you know the oddest thing is if she really screwed her head on she could still have the last laugh.
By this I mean she needs to sit down with her family and really question herself about how good she is, who they honestly see her likened to in terms of style and performance. If this is a positive than the next point of dscussion would be how much as a family they can help finance the private recording and production of her first CD. She then needs to copyright all of her own material join an organisation such as www.taxi.com and wait for the industry to contact her. She could also attempt to get local air time through the radio station for her area and any internet radio sites. Applying to the x factor is a mistake for anyone with a talent especially song writing as you would lose all your license copyright for material done during the programme. :wallbash:
I personally think Sharon will lose all of her turns before anyone else, this year as they were absolutely horendous.
Bella 02-10-2005, 04:34 PM I do wish they'd spend more time covering boot camp. I can't really tell many of them apart yet.
I would have preferred this too Fee, instead of spending weeks hearing some really awful no-hopers. Maybe they don't show you a lot of the boot camp so that the viewers don't really get a chance to have a favourite.
I think Louis's lot are getting a rough deal though - Sharon jets hers to Beverely Hills, Simon jets his to his luxury villa in Spain and Louis takes his to his home town of Dublin. Not that I am dissing Dublin and I can't wait to get there myself but Louis done the same last year, he played the "not having as much money" as Sharon & Simon card but he must be well-loaded mustn't he?
Tigereye 03-10-2005, 03:06 PM lol bella - I thought the same thing and I live here!! Beverly Hills, Spain or Dublin - hmmmmmmmmmm that's a hard one
They did a documentry over here on louis recently and he was showing off his recently acquired penthouse apartment - It was either on the seafront in Fort Lauderdale or Cancun in Mexico - can't remember, so it isn't like he has nowhere to bring them.....
Mind you, dunno if I'd like a bunch of hormonal youngsters living in me ear either!
