Is anyone else watching this? I think it is great Saturday early evening TV!

Across seven weeks, six celebrities will try to win cash and prizes for their chosen charity while the prizes won on the show will be offered as a bundle (like Takeaway) to a home-viewer.

It started with six celebrities and over the following four weeks each winner from each revival will go into a semi-final. The two semi-finals will be played over two more weeks. The winner of each semi will go into the grand final where they will play Family Fortunes with their real familes.

The first show featured The Price Is Right where around 300 celebrities attended the audience. Some included Bob Holness, Wincy Willis, Zippy, George and the 2nd show featured 'Take Your Pick'

The 6 Celbs are

Carol Vorderman
William Roache (Ken Barlow from Coronation Street)
Patsy Kensit (Actress in Emmerdale but was in the film Lethal Weapon 2)
Vernon Kay (Host of Playjam & Hit Me Baby One More Time)
Ruby Wax
Eamon Holmes (Millionaire? & Jet Set).

Carol Vorderman (The Price is Right) and Patsy Kensit (Take your Pick) are both through to the 1st semi final in 2 weeks time

These all used to be the great family entertainment on TV for the weekends at one time, and I so miss them all. Why on earth they don't bring them back I don't know, they used to get massive viewing figures, and come Monday morning at work everyone talked about them.


They have been taken over by cooking, DIY, cleaning, gardening naff type progs these days, and it's a real shame.

I would be over the moon to have these resurected, or something like, we have lost all our old game shows, and they ran for decades. :sad:

I watched a bit of this tonight and thought it was a pile of cack! Ant and Dec are in serious danger of becoming caricatures of their former selves if they agree to churn out any more of this sugary nostalgia shi!te on a Saturday night.

Yes ILS I've been watching each week, It's easy viewng a good fun. My fav was the price is right, becasue I always loved that bit "Come on down"

Family fortunes is the final, and the two finalists get their own family to play with them, which should be fun! I hope Vernon is the last finalist too as he is more fun than the other two!

Ive been watching this, and i really enjoy it, although i wish Ruby Wax wasnt one of the contestants as she irritates the hell out of me !!!

Its good easy viewing, and great for a Saturday night.

I have heard a rumour that Family Fortunes is coming back - but without Les Dennis as he is concentrating on acting now. I have to say, out of all the shows this one is my least favourite :huh:

I watched the first couple of weeks of this and been enjoying it, but missed this weeks because I was working. I wish I seen it as I remember watching the Golden Shot, I liked to have seen what Ant and Dec did with it.

I loved last night's show as it they revisted one of my favourite gameshows. Bruce Forsyth's Play Your Cards Right! Such a simple game with silly questions but this show was Brucey at his best with his wonderful catchphases.

Carol Vordeman won last night and is now through to the final in 2 weeks time, when she will play the winner of next weeks show in Family Fortunes.

Surely the only reason anyone is tuning in to this is for Ant and Dec. I watched the first one and not even they rescued it for me.

I'm with ILS here! It's just good out and out fun for Saturday evening that the whole family can enjoy and get involved in - via a bit of yelling at the telly!


I would love to see some of these game shows come back, especially now that they are culling reality TV...and not before time!

I kept losing concentration because of The Vordermans new veneered teeth !!! :shocking:
They were about an inch longer than normal and looked like a set of piano keys. Apart from that, it was a laff but the audience screeching does my head in after a bit and I have to switch channels.
