...if you could only ever watch one channel for the rest of your life?

ITV i think. They do have a lot of good dramas, and they have Emmerdale and Corrie and i prefer the ITV news.

So yeah, ITV for me

for me it would be channel 4 ... I just LOVE all comedy programmes they have on from the US. In fact it's probably the channel I watch the most.

Can't vote as I could live without them all if I had too. If I had to make a choice it would be between BBC1 and Channel 4, but the crux would have to be BBC1 I guess.

Can't vote for just one I'm afraid. That's why I have Sky. I'm a flitter and a hopper. I would watch Living day and night if I was allowed.

Mine would be BBC1, in spite of everything I still think they make some of the best programmes in the world. I have always found BBC World to be a bonus when I am travelling, but am happy enough to be without the rest.

BBC2 - Is to arty
ITV - Would be a close 2nd
C4 - Is all crap US stuff, or my house sucks, my dogs evil, or my kids are demons
C5 - Does that actually do anything?

Has to be BBC for Waking the dead and Spooks but I also like casualty and I'm just getting into holby. I'd rather watch corrie than EE, but I'd sacrifice all TV just to have Trevor Eve  in my living room twice a week, even if it is only for 6 weeks a year.
I'm really mad that they are showing WTD and spooks at the same time.
Tough question though PJ as C4 has lost and desperate housewives (which I love) and loads of good films and documentries

That's probably because you are a bit too young to be watching porn Jakey! :shocking:

I went for ITV as the majority of the programmes I like are on there (Corrie, X factor, IAC etc) but I must admit I would miss Casualty,Holby, Strictly Come Dancing if I didn't have BBC1 and Lost if I didn't have C4.

Do you really think I'm that dumb? Of course I delete it all... DUH! And as an extra precaution my computer has seperate accounts for each family member which can only be accessed by a password! :smartie:

Hard, hard, hard!!!??

I went for BBC 2 - mainly cos I really couldn't choose between Ch4 and ITV [both of which I love] - and I do like a lot of BBC 2 stuff [Little Britain started there don't forget] and I adore Ready Steady Cook and University Challenge - so 2 for me.

I voted BBC1 but oooh it was a hard choice ! I watch a lot of programmes on Channel Four.

ITV I barely watch and channel five I only watch for the sci fi stuff.

I went for ITV as I think that is the one I watch most although there are programmes I would really miss on the other channels. I don't watch as much TV as I used to since I was introduced to SO.

Having to go for Ch4 as it has 'Without a Trace' and the Simpsons! I can live without any of the other programes I regularly watch!

BBC1 is full of itself, BBC2 screens some interesting stuff, ITV is plain crap, Channel 4 Is fandabbydozy (there's a word!) and is the most diverse and modern-thinking of the terrestrials, and Channel Five......well, Channel Five is just.......Channel Five I guess. I don't think I'll ever take it seriously until I can get a decent and clear picture.....(without the flies)

So, Channel 4 for me, followed almost closely by BBC2.

Commercials were a big factor in my decision to choose BBC 1, a good mix.

With a PVR I have the ability to record 2 digital channels and watch a recording at the same time thus I can arrange my viewing so as to avoid the commercials.

(An hour prog on a commercial channel can be less the 45 minutes with ads removed)

I went for C4, mainly because it works closely with E4 and some Living programmes. It has T4 for music. It has films. It has adverts to break potential monotony.

I went for channel 4 because of all the fabby programs the have on there, but also because I don't agree with the national tax of a tv licence and I don't really watch ITV anyway.
