Oooh news is leaking out as to who will be going to the oz jungle next month !!

For those who havent heard of him, Dennis Rodman is a VERY outrageous U.S. black basketball player, with blonde cropped hair, covered in tattoos and who is 7 feet tall. Oh he also cross dresses, but christ knows where he gets size 17 stilettos from :bored: . He went out with Madonna a few years ago (and was featured in Madonna's Men, on channel five not long ago). Anyway, here is the line up so far:-

Dennis Rodman has signed up for the new series of I'm A Celebrity, according to the Daily Star.

The basketball star, who loves to cross-dress, will join fellow American George Hamilton for a stint in the Aussie jungle next month.

"We wanted to get some controversial characters on the show because they alwats make great telly," a source told the newspaper. "And who better than Dennis? The Yanks are never shy about shooting their mouths off."

Others tipped to appear include Blur's Alex James, ex-Holby actress Lisa Faulkner, presenter-publicist Magenta De Vine, Corrie star Shobna Gulati and shamed MP Ron Davies.

Not inspired by anyone so far ... not heard of most of them!

I see Magenta De Vine is filling the role of "ex-junkie who's tv career is going nowhere"!!

Here's bad boy Rodman himself:

http://us.movies1.yimg.com/movies.yahoo.com/images/hv/photo/movie_pix/columbia_pictures/double_team/dennis_rodman/double.jpg

A string of sexual assault charges, wife battering (and to be fair to Carmen Elektra, also being battered by her so they had to be at least 500 feet away from each other - we assume they didn't get on), traffic offences, etc etc

**sigh** I know, they start off looking tasty, and then you quickly realise their brains are in their jockeys and upstairs is out to lunch. How does that saying go.........."Men only have enough blood to supply either the brain or the penis" Nuff said!

Its usually the second half of November, but no firm news yet.

LOL! at your description of Magenta De Vine.... its years since Ive seen her in anything. I hope she takes those ludicrous sunglasses off, or she'll be stumbling around in the dark falling into poison ivy in the jungle ! No, on second thoughts, keep em on Magenta, we need a laff...

Carmen Electra is about five foot 3! Fancy her battering him... As for those sparkly, lycra leggings he is wearing in your photo, Mousey.... gawd, I hope he doesnt take them with him to the jungle - I wont know where to look !!!! :bored:
Shall I tell you what his first complaint will be? (puts psychic hat on), that the bed isnt long enough! Lets face it, when you are seven feet tall, you must have your beds specially made.

Im gutted that the ghastly Shobna Gulati might be going. I cant stand the sound of her voice and I get hypnotised, while looking at her, by that hooter !

We have another addition to the Im a Celeb line up - David Dickinson !!!

I used to think he was nice until I saw him on the programme recently where he allegedly gave members of the public money with which to buy antiques and trained them re what to buy. It was apparently his own money, and boyyyyy didnt we know it ! He was quite quite vile and arrogant at times with some of the contestants.

Anyway, here is the report :-

Bargain Hunt host David Dickinson has joined the cast of the next I'm A Celebrity, according to the Daily Star today.

The orange-tanned presenter, famous for his "cheap as chips" catchphrase, will jet out to Oz with the likes of Dennis Rodman and Lisa Faulkner for the fifth series of the show, due to air at the end of next month.

"He's a brilliant signing for us and viewers will love him," said an insider. "He's very funny but he does have a bit of a temper on him and can be a diva. If he's not got any chores to do around the campsite then expect to see him in his hammock topping up his tan

Who watches IAC for the totty?! who?

I can't remember there ever being totty on IAC!

This line-up is sure to change, it normally does as the so-called celebs try to bash out the best deal for them.

No matter who goes, I'll still be tuning in............yes, I really am that shallow! :ninja:

I adore Blur's Alex James although i dont know how he will survive his time in the jungle. He is a chain smoker, and i thought they were only allowed a small quota of fags to take with them.

He is fab though.

btw who is Lisa Faulkner?:bored:

Flip

LOL TE - so good she said it twice!

I think this line up sound brilliant so far, Dennis Rodman looks a fine character to have in the jungle - he can reach all the coconuts up top!!

David Dickinson will just be hilarious, Shobna blah blah - is that Sinita from Corrie?? [I like her if it is her].

I am not sure who Lisa Faulkener is - was she a sports person turned presenter or dj or something?

Oh George Hamilton and Magenta De Vine - such fun!! oo oo I can imagine a stand off at dawn between David Dickinson and George Hamilton - to see who is the most orange!!

I am really looking forward to this serious.

Bella

Lisa Faulkener is an actress she has been on Holby City or Casualty and she was in the rather unfortunate position of getting put head first into a deep fat fryer in an episode of Spooks!

It was on GMTV this morning that Claire King (ex-Emmerdale and Bad Girls) was also in the line-up!

So much speculation at this time!

No....thank god!! are you sure it was her?

No....thank god!! are you sure it was her?

you seem to be questioning my observational skills Buzz ... I am, quite frankly, outraged!!!

She was definitely in Brookside maybe she was a drug addict or a lesbian then!!! (oh I miss those kind of story lines!).

So when is the series scheduled to start then? I'm very much looking forward to getting stuck in with the IAC postings!

Bella
13-10-2005, 05:58 PM
Ooh, I forgot about her being in Brookie but I am with Buzz here, she wasn't the sister who was sh8gging the brother, wasn't she the one who flipped and went a bit mad,.........but wait a minute didn't they all do that on Brookside! Wasn't she part of a really weird family........oops they were all part of weird families as well, weren't they, but wasn't her dad the ginger haired bloke who was actually quite creepy looking with really pale skin. I think they started of as quite a normal 2.4 family but ended up right nutters! Oh, that is going to bug me now!

Bella
13-10-2005, 06:09 PM
She was part of family of nutters - her mum was going out with the ginger haired bloke and her dad was released from prison and started stalking them, in the end the ginger-haired bloke killed Lisa Faulkener's dad.

Didn't Lisa Faulkners character have loads of peircings and was into animal rights. I remember her in it but not a lot of the story lines except that she looked very much like her screen mum and I wondered if they were related in real life or it was just good casting
Did anyone ever see the BBC season of afternoon plays earlier this year?
Lisa Faulkner was in one of them, it was so good I kept it. It was called the trouble with George. It was brilliant, really funny. Lisa plays scatty dippy very well.

I just did a search on the google for IAC ... and we're first on the list!!! Maybe we could attract new members of the calibre we attracted last time ... I hope so! (you know who you are so i wont list you all and risk missing one of you off the list!)

But, Haydon, it says "Untitled" and you have to go through a couple of links to get to us ... don't think this is a problem just thought I'd flag it up to you!

Elaine Lordan (Lynne Slater on Eastenders) and Claire thingey - the one that played Kim Tate on Emmerdale are both being considered for the Im a Celeb line up.

Cant see Elaine Lordan doing it though - I thought her little baby was very ill? She also recently had to go through an awful ordeal when her Mum jumped on the tracks of a tube and committed suicide...

I wouldnt have thought she wanted additional stress in the jungle on top of all that

Bonsai

I wouldnt of thought that 'Kim Tate' would need to do a show like this, as her career is still going well. I know she isnt in Bad Girls at the moment, but i thought she was doing a London play .... although i might be wrong.

Its stange though - a lot of celebs say they would hate to do Big Brother, but many of them would jump at the chance to eat bugs in IAC.

Strange !!!
