Well, Louis has got a dificult choice hasn't he - I think he should ditch the young Micheal Jackson though.

Simon - I think that group band who keep forgetting their words are so desperate and ugly that it's beginning to take its toll on them.

Sharon - to come.

I agree Cat, the little MJ seems more a novelty cutie item than someone who can sing, not sure he would survive too many public votes and certainly couldn't record with that voice.

The 5-man boyband seem one too many, and at least one of them can't sing too well too, so agree on that one too. The black girls seem too much work, and the blonde ones sounded very tame too, so I think Simon will go the other 4.

Sharon should dump Chico, but she had a couple of decent acts there. The dustman sounded much better this week, I hope he goes through, allthough I was initially surprised to see Patrick Viera on the X factor!

We find out, hmm, very very soon!

I'm really disappointed - I neither like nor dislike any of them; they're all just boring.

I think I will support the Irish pub singer though.

I'm liking Shane. Unfortunately he is one of Louis' group. If he was Simon's well, what can I say.:D

It was a really prolonged show.....yawn....and I am not bothered by any of them.

Argh. Sharon & Louis... CRETINS!!! Why oh why did Sharon ditch Richie - probably one of the most likely to win the competition. And keep that ludicrous goat-lovin' Tarzanogram?! And Louis! You nicompoop! What do you have against 16 year olds? And why did you put that Elvis wannabe through? Oh, wait a second, let me guess. He's Irish.

So predictable.

Simon - on the money as usual. Pity so many of the acts were so drab.

Tipped to win now?

Mrs Blink fancies recently-married Maria & Shayne-the-shaved.

Personally I really like Andy the binman. Very talented, and has the maturity to carry it off.

Agree with you about Richie Blink I really liked his voice and I can't stand Chico he has to be the first to go. He was awful in the studio on Xtra Factor.

The ones I like so far are Shayne, Philip, Journey South,Andy and Brenda.

I thought we were in for our first electrocution tonight when that F***wit Chico dived into the pool with a live mike....would have been almost worth it to make him just SHUT UP! Even Ozzy who has about four functioning brain cells left in his drug sapped cranial cavity admitted he would never go near water with a live mike. I was very disappointed that Sharon chose him for her final four, but I suppose she was looking at the fact that he certainly was different that may make him stand out. When Louis came down to the final two girls... I think he picked the wrong one. And when Simon let go of the threesome of girls, I thought that was the wrong decision too..... speaking of the word DECISION... is anyone else fed up to the back teeth... with the done to death phrase "I'VE MADE MY DECISION".... Couldn't one of them say even for a change..... I've chosen my winner...... or I've picked my favourite. Its getting to be like groundhog day every week... same old rehearsed to death dialogue designed to induce suspense in all of us as they come to their decision... god now I am saying it !!!! AHHHHHHHHH By the way I thought Sinetta in the bikini was a bit much..... just a comment.

I can't see anythig X-Factor about any of them. I hope they all improve over the next few weeks. So far it looks like the winner will be another one-hit wonder and disappear into obscurity like Steve whatisname and Michelle McManus.

I thought the little "michael jackson" boy was cute but he had a terrible lisp and I don't think he could get away with just being cute.

Felt sorry for the other young lad too but he looked stupid in that suit, poor thing. Reminded me of Lee Evans when he did the extra long arms thing

I'm glad the bin man got through....I wonder if he does a rousing version of 'my old mans a dustman'!

I like Shaun in the younger group as well...he's sexy and I like his voice.

Groups...well none stand out as being particularly grand this year (I did like the scruffy group Forth Base as they are so different....not totty but different)....I find my localish group Fourtune dull.....none of the girl groups are particularly inspiring and well I guess Journey South are a little cheesey but they are still my fave group at the moment.

So far I like Shane, Philip and 4tune (no surprise there then) but that could all change now they are on the live shows!

speaking of the word DECISION... is anyone else fed up to the back teeth... with the done to death phrase "I'VE MADE MY DECISION"...

I thought the whole decision process was cringe making and dire, especially Sharon Osborne's. She completely over-milked it, the contestants were made to suffer simply so she could produce a piece of theatrical TV. Blecchhh!

I know I am going to be shot down in flames but I actually quite like Chico. He is a useless singer, of course, but he has a certain foolish charm. And when he takes his shirt off, he does have a great bod!! He is a total tart, like Sharon says, but he does have oodles of personality.

I was sad to see the back of Eskimo Blonde - they were great IMO, and Simon so fancied the lead girl.

THe best decision Simon made was to keep Journey South - they are superb, and a bit quirky.

I can't remember any of Louis' proteges very well, I thought his female decision was wrong, and the lad with the cornrows - he was awful IMO.

Me too Sfanny, it was totally unnecessary for Sharon to make them suffer as much as she did before delivering a decision.

Very surprised that Louis didn't put any of the sixteen year olds through. I would have personally given Trevor or Alexandra a chance over the rather dull Chenai. Although I can understand his reservations about Trevor actually being able to sell records if he won. The funny thing is Nicholas is only a year older, but he sounds, looks and acts like a man not a boy.

I was convinced that Sharon was going to put the rocker boy through with the rats tail hair - maybe she has learnt her lesson from Tabby last year. Can't believe she put Chico through - she's relying totally on his personality and not his talent.

Of the groups, Addicted Ladies have yet to sing in harmony and in key but Simon wasn't exactly spoilt for choice. The Brothers were better, but he probably didn't want two boy bands in his final four, and Eskimo Blonde would rely on the male vote and as it's mostly women who pick up the phone they'd be on a hiding to nothing.

No one has blown me away yet this year. The only ones I think who have that elusive something are the two blonde lads 'Journey South'. Trouble is though, what do you do with a duo - it's just not a successful combination these days.

I liked him too Flip!!! (see my comments in Chico, well, well, well, thread).

Although I feel that he went through at the expense of someone else who had more talent, such as the irish bloke who I thought did a really good peformance last night.

But Chico is pure entertainment who will keep me hooked for the next few weeks!

I was sorry that fourth base didn't get through as I like them for their rough and readiness, although the guy who seems to be in the middle all the time is SO desparate it hurts to watch him!

Was glad the Bin man and the divine Nicholas went through and thought that Louis made the right choices by not putting that freaky black kid through or that freaky white kid through (Trevor) ... they don't have the X-factor just the Ahh-factor.

I was also glad that Brown Eyed Girl got through (the one who got to boot camp last year) I think she is my favourite ... not cos she's the best, but cos i like her the best, so far!

oh yes I liked these two aswell. they can sing, they look good and they seem like nice boys don't they!

all in all I think there are some good choices this year. I was appalled at some of the mediocre choices last year, Roberta, Cassie, Peters and Lee (to name but three). No wonder someone as half baked as Steve won, he was the best of a bad bunch. This year will be much more interesting as I like at least a couple of choices from each category ...

and I do think that overall the judges have kept a lower profile this year ... well compared to last year's!

Hmmm, surprised Chico and Addicted Ladies got through. Chico is sort of Ricky Martin Light, and the original Ricky Martin was only just bearable anyway.

Maybe Louis was right that Trevor would be better to give it another year. He might struggle this year, but take it by storm next year - who knows, he's only 16!

But if you hate Louis Walsh, vote for 4Tune! How embarrassing would it be for him if they won after they didn't make it to his last 4 last year. Simon would never let him forget it.

I like Maria, 4tune, Shayne. Thats my last three.

I think Journey South will do ok, but they need more up-tempo songs. They destroyed Desperado, but maybe just trying too hard to impress with strong vocals where the song needs restraint.

I'll have to rely on SO for all my updates now as I won't be able to watch this (unless they screen it in Singapore, which I doubt). Boo Hoo.

I don't know what Sharon was up to! I liked the ones she rejected apart from the girl who missed her honeymoon, I thought she was great. I'd say Simon has the best acts at the moment. Not sure though about the two brothers although they are great singers it's a bit uncomfortable to watch, the older one just seems so desperate he looks constipated

Yo can understand why sharon put chico through - he's mental!

Delighted about Journey South, really liked them. I couldn't understand why Louis didn't want to put 2 girls through, what is his logic in that? Does he think that the males will get more votes, if that is the case then he has put then he is not making the decision based on vocal talent! I liked Trevor - what a voice - but can understand why Louis didn't put him through, he just looks soooo young as did James. Didn't like Phillip and thought he murdered his song but Shane was ok.

I love Brenda in Sharon's group, I don't think she will win but she bang out a few belters before she goes.

Chico - you just got shake your head in disbelief really. Yes, he does have something and recent acts in the charts today are living proof that you don't have to have a singing voice to aim high. He does have the entertainment value but where does it stop, what will he do next? He'll just get boring as cannot keep giving gimicky performances week after week.

I am in total disbelief that Addicted Ladies got through. What on earth do they have going for them, not particularly good looking and cant remember songs and are all over the place - why on earth were they through again? Perhaps someone could kindly explain cos they are lost on me!!

They are all looking for who they think will be unique enough to win for them, and it all has absolutely nothing to do with talent.

The X factor is not basically someone who is just a good singer, it's way more than that. Charisma, looks, sellability, vote-grabber etc. And you know what, the only one whose name I can always remember is Chico! I don't like him much, but THAT'S what it's all about. The best singers will be out soon, and those with something that little bit more will still be there - talent or not!
