I so agree with you, it's heart-rending, and the casualty figures are just rocketing now - and will continue to do so sadly.


When oh when is mankind going to understand you cannot ignore the forces of nature? Building concrete blocks on fault lines is sheer insanity - and one I am sure California is going to feel the effects of before long.

I wonder how the animal kingdom coped with this disaster? They often have better hearing and pick up vibrations that man won't because we are basically a 'noisy and self centred' animal. If you want to live where nature does it's worse then I think you have to respect that fact and live 'with' nature rather than trying to beat the odds.

I do feel the greatest sympathy for everyone involved in this, but it should never have happened.
