I told my mum the other night about getting BB and she was like "Oh yeh, what's that then", she doesn't use the computer. But as soon as I told her it would mean you could phone through even thought I'm on t'internet, she got all excited:rolleyes:

I'm going with virgin, and they have been excellent. Within 2 days of ordering, I have got my activation date for next week, a booklet sent to me today about how to connect it all, loads of e-mails updating me on the progress and my modem is being delivered tomorrow. All in all I am very impressed with them.

I went to spend the day with my parents yesterday, and we went to Lakeside as i needed some clothes for my new job.

So i bought loads of stuff, mainly in the sale. I did brilliantly. I got a wonderful skirt, and lots of tops in all shapes and colours, and a gorgeous designer jacket which was reduced from £150 down to £25. Oh and i bought Mr.B a dressing gown, and i also got some clothes for dossing around the house in the form of jogging bottoms and T-shirts. I did fantastically well, and my Dad bought me a lovely pair of shoes too, which were reduced from £85 down to £35.

All in all a smashing day, and it was great to have a whole uninterupted day with my parents again :blush:

An absolute delight for you. Great bargain. Doesn't feel wonderful!

It feels absolutely wonderful!! The skirts I got are really really lovely, one of them is all sequiniced and had flowers on it, (may not sound nice), but it really is lovely and it was only £3!!! The only thing about is that there isn't one in Edinburgh and I was visiting my sister yesterday and there is one near her! The materials are cotton and linen, so it makes you wonder why the other shops charge so much!

It's fairly cheap, the kids will love staying in the caravan, and I'm getting dead excited cause it will be our first family holiday together.

Oh and I had earlier that day got the butcher to weigh one for me to buy - when he said is was going to be 20GBP I said No thanks Mate!!!

So a wonderfully fresh leg of lamb arrived and I thought I would practice my butchering skills [self taught].

I managed to bone it and butterfly it - and in effect create a Northumbrian Duck - which is not a duck, but in fact a trompe l'oeil - because the bone of the leg when dressed in a certain way looks like a duck - it was marvellous and the best fun - I am very very proud of myself!!:D (http://www.survivor-online.co.uk/forums/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=0#)

I taught myself to butcher a chicken a while back. Make 4 pieces from a whole chicken, its much cheaper to do that than buy the pieces separate. I quite enjoyed chopping away with the knife :w00t:

I cant eat lamb after being surrounded by them when I lived on an island. It is ridiculous I know.

tonee - I saw the mother of my 'leg of lamb' today - in all her eye pecked out glory, just abandoned [well until she can be disposed of properly]. Not a dignified way out I grasp, but that is nature for you. If you hand rear them - I agree it is difficult to see them go to slaughter, but just lambing them or helping the pigs out [when I had pigs] when they needed a hand - is not a problem.

My only problem was Katy - well she was never ever going to slaughter, my prize Kune kune pig, who caused us untold mischief ... but that is another story. She is still alive and well and living in a 'hands on farm' with new babies - a happy Mom!!
