DYJLIW you get an unexpected £270 Child Benefit payment!!!
Patsy 09-02-2006, 04:28 PM Have you suddenly discovered extra kids, oh Quiz Supremo?

Nothing as exciting as that! My youger son left school to take some time out before uni - we stopped getting child benefit - but apparently we were entitled to some for a while as he is not in full time employment - so they put some in to our account!
We knew nothing about it so we phoned - and all was explained!!

I don't really do hats, Dol, so I am not sure if I will, but I will certainly be buying a new outfit.
You have a week off work - and hopefully NO sick kids to look after!!
Andrea 10-02-2006, 09:26 PM DYJLIW you find out that there is a Kinnerton factory near you and they have a factory shop that sells seconds.
Guess who's been stuffing their face with walnut whips, without the walnut, and choccy biscuits just like the one's in the posh M&S boxes.:w00t:
Coastie 14-02-2006, 01:53 PM DYJLIW - you finally get your first appointment with the new NHS dentist in town and he's very nice...:naughty:

I haven't had that pleasure Coastie! My dentist is a rather charming petit Persian man ... he spends as little time as possible in my mouth ...probably cos i get free treatment and filling out the paperwork to claim the money back is probably too much hassle.
Coastie 14-02-2006, 04:49 PM The new one is Mr Sobeski - he's Polish I believe...has a lovely accent and really nice grey blue eyes...
He had a good probe around my gigantuine gob and was very pleased with what he saw...he also told me that the minute filling my private dentist said I would need most certainly was not required! Makes me wonder oif the last tiny one he did was really needed or if he simply wanted to rip me off by £35! :mad2:
DYJLIW you send off the cheque to pay for your Easter holiday - only 47 days to go!!
Andrea 14-02-2006, 06:12 PM DYJLIW you go into Boots and buy some stuff totalling £12 but only have to pay £2 cause you have a tenners worth of vouchers (got these from collecting points on a pay per click site so basically got the vouchers for free) and then you get a voucher given back to you by the sales assistant for £5 off some skin care products because you have "spent" ten pounds.
DYJLIW - things go wrong in the show you are crewing - and none of them are your fault

That's all that matters in the end
Patsy 01-03-2006, 09:16 AM Indeed, Floople, indeed. And I am. I'm also very curious to see what he looks like now. We've spoken several times on the phone (which Mr P knows about, btw) and I fear we may run out of things to talk about (we were only 19 when we went out - think 80s perm), but it will be interesting and, more to the point, he's paying for lunch, which is nice.
Coastie 01-03-2006, 09:18 AM DYJLIW - You find a local pub that has already banned smoking, it's just at the end of your road...and...it has something fun on every night...Curry night tonight and they serve food til closing time...woo wooooooo...they have live bands on Sat nights, karaoke on Thurs...ladies night + cocktails on Fri...big screen sports (rugger sorted) and ooooo so lovely a landlord and lady! :w00t:

I think i would be nervous too. Its fun though to get a blast from the past.
That happened to me recently when an X boss (of about 8 years ago) emailed me out of the blue. He said he was coming to Suffolk and could we meet. I bottled it and said no .... but i wonder now if i will always be curious.
And one of the reasons i said no - well, i think we had a slight mutual admiration for one another which was never acted on. I didnt want him to see me now. Im 2 stone heavier, and not as young looking as i was then. I would rather him remember the old me ... and not what i have become.
Sad arent i :ninja:

Ooooh Fee, when we lived in Mobile, Alabama we rented a house for a year and not 2 weeks after we moved in the the MOST awful smell started coming from the driveway. Well, we had 2 palm/rubber something trees and it rotted from the inside out!! OMG. the neighbors complained and when the tree peeps came to cut it up they were getting sick from the stench!! It's all to do with pensions

Bonsai 30-03-2006, 06:50 PM Im planning a weekend up London with my friend, and i have been searching for hotels close to Liverpool Street that were relatively inexpensive but nice.
And i found one :w00t: Its a 4 star hotel, twin beds and the baths all have TV screens at the end of them  Its really quite swish and it only cost £79 for the room, so split between us its cheap.
London nightlife here we come.

I have worked here for 14 months now, and i have pigeon hole type things next to me with all my different paper, application forms etc .... But there was also loads of stuff the previous PA left behind. I thought they were left as they were important, so i didnt touch them.
But my boss and i have just had a massive sort out - and it looks fab (although bare). I also had about 4 boxes near my feet that cluttered the place up - but they have gone too.
Oh, and another DYJLIW hubby is home early tonight.

It needed a new bulb - and the MOT blokie changed it for us whilst the car was in the garage.
Yesterday we went to Halfords as it needed new windscreen wipers which we fitted yesterday and a new hood (which is on order but didnt affect the MOT).
Other than that, we got ourselves a bargain :cool1:

Not quite - usually it's six weeks - but this year there are seven :yahoo:
Bonsai 05-07-2006, 06:48 PM Im all excited about tomorrow.
Mr.B never takes me anywhere (apart from the pub !!). Because he is driving all day throughout the week, on the weekends he likes to stay put. But tomorrow we are going on a day trip :w00t:
We are off to Southwold, and Aldeburgh. I have been to both before but not for at least a year and i cant wait. They both have really lovely antique shops, and gifty shops and i want to buy a few bits and bobs for the house.
We had a nice day today and went to spent the morning with Mr.B's parents - but then i had to spend a small fortune this afternoon as my Dyson hoover blew up on Saturday, so i went and replaced it and ended up spending £260 on a hepa filtered allergy Dyson. I tell you though, its blummin good and sucked the carpet up well and truly. It made me feel a right filthy heffer though when i saw what i sucked up from the carpet today :bag:
