You get in to the new NHS dentist

The dentist here got new larger premises, and EVERYONE put their name on the list to try and join there. I put mine down last November.

I have waited, and waited - and i finally got a call this afternoon booking me an appointment. Yippeee.

I started to fear i would have to go private.

DYJLIW............................................ .................

Your 2nd lot of surgery has been sucessful and you can stand upright AND walk without bluddy crutches!!!!!!!!!! I had the op 2 wks ago yesterday, and came home 2 weeks ago tomorrow!!!!!!!! I now have 7 weeks of doing nothing apart from sitting (no longer than an hour at a time), walking, which is ok, but my but my gawd my legs go to jelly if I do too much  and the rest of my time is spent flat on my back (easy now!!!! I know, nowt new there then)

I should start physio when the 7 weeks are up, and I will have to do a back in action programme which is 6 weeks long but I dont know how long it will take before I can go on it......

So at long last, apart from all the drugs and weaning myself off them, I am starting to feel like ME again :yahoo:

Thanks for all the emails and pm's if I could sit for longer I would reply to youy all, but my time is nearly up and I still need to nip on Amazon to buy myself a PS2 a couple of games and Jaws dvd for my niece who wont shut up about it so Im going to watch it with her.... ......

awwww thanks guys......

you do realise that now im on the mend i will be about on here more though dont you

I cant remember if I told you my other news, I have found a little flat to buy and I will be completing on the sale of the house in Devon in the next 2 weeks, I can then get things moving on the flat and while im still here at Ma's I will be having a new kitchen fitted and it all decorated before going and getting all the furniture - handily, my sis has a trade account at some FAB warehouse near Birmingham where they do fabulous furniture, soft furnishings the whole shebang.......

I will be doing some major works on the flat and garden, but think that can wait till next year, I just really want somewhere to put down some roots for me and little Nipper Dawg, Ma and Pa have been WONDERFUL and supportive, but at 42 36 (im the new Lea minus the boobs:applause: ) its a tad too long in the tooth to be living with your parents, and I am fed up of hanging out of my bedroom window to have a cheeky smoke, although again, the parents have been sooooooo cool about what and when I smoke - I am very lucky in that respect, but I think that they have realised that after over 20 years of me smoking the "herbs" Im not going to end up a smack head as a result (says she who is on shed loads of morphine and diazepam:mellow: but I got off it all before so I KNOW I can do it again!)

Anyway, this post is getting a bit long, dont want to bore you all to death.....

Keep your faces to the sunshine (if you can find some) peeps love n snogs

got this mobile dog wash to call to the house at lunchtime. Fabulous service outside your own home so the little dahlings don't get too freaked being carted off to a poodle parlour.

all the above was only e25.00 [ST£16.50 ].....

You are married to a wonderful man

As i have mentioned, ive been feeling a little low lately. Thursday night is normally my night out. The reason we initially picked this night is because Mr.B is home all day Thurs so i dont mind leaving the little 'uns in the evening as they are knackered from following him around all day. But yesterday he had to work, so i wasnt going to go out.

Mr.B knew i had been low lately, and knew i needed some 'me' time. So he moved his last two driving lessons into today so he could get home at 2:30 and wear the dogs out. Just so i could go out and play.

It means he has a busy day ahead of him today, but he did it just for me. Aint love grand :)

Ok Crit, here are the details...

We booked a late holiday to Benidorm, we have never been (and shall not be returning either). We arrived on the Saturday afternoon driving to the hotel was like cruising through a concrete jungle, the hotels are so tightly packed together in such small areas, however our hotel was a little way out and in fairness it was lovely. Four star, immaculately clean, the room was big enough to sleep five comfortably, the pool was big and there were two bars. We had booked all inclusive, and I will not do that again in a hurry either (that said we have already booked an all inclusive in Egypt for next Feb!!) by the end of the week I was so sick of eating in the same place that I just gave up eating..

On the Monday night I was putting little buzz to bed about midnight and he said he felt sick, I put it down to tiredness and heat, he went off to sleep and we were awoken at 2am to the sounds of vomit hitting tiles...this went on all ngiht and most of tuesday morning.

On the Wednesday Mr B said he had water in his ear from the swimming pool, but no worries this often happens and it will 'pop', by Thursday pm he still hadn't 'popped' and his ear was beinging to throb...

On Thursday night, eldest buzz went to bed, and about 1.30 woke up to go to, what I thought, the loo...two minutes later I am awoken again to the sound of vomit hitting tiles....this carreid on for most of Friday. By teatime he felt a little better and tried some soup for dinner....this returned with a vengance all over the hotel reception...by this time Mr B can't stand the pain in his ear anymore and trollied off to the chemist to get something for it, returning with a spray for said ear.

Saturday....hooray we are going home....Mr B is on the floor with pain in his ear, so we get back from the airport and proceed straight to the hosiptal where he is diagnosed with a serious ear canal infection.

So all in all, not a good time. It was however, lovely to have a week in the sun away from the washing machine, phone, tv, etc.....but not to Benidorm again for me....oh no sireee!!

Well, its gorgeous. It arrived this morning and it is in a lovely round box, like a minature hat box, and inside its so well presented with all the bibs in a circle and the teddy cuddling in the middle.

Oooh, I'm being headhunted :w00t:

The Deputy of the school where my old deputy is now head, (are you following) rang me today to ask how much money I'd want to go work there instead. He's trying to create a job for me.

I was a bit stumped, being as how I was doing 90 on the motorway at the time, but i went in at 5K over what I'm on now.

He's just go to convince the governors and I'm in!

What's the latest Floops? :bye:

As you know, Mr.B and I have done some work in one of the pubs local to us .... and our MAIN night was New Years Eve. It was a good night, and we had heaps of praise, and a round of applause at the end of the evening which gave us a ready brek glow.

The landlord has just called to ask us to do more shifts, which is good as we need the dosh .... and apparently the locals are still praising us on our work. The normal barmaid is a little glum most of the time, but i like her. She is good at what she does. But because Mr.B and i had a laugh and joke with everyone whilst serving, they appreciated it.

They had a tips jar on the bar which contained A LOT of money by the end of New Year. We didnt think we would get a look in as we have only done about 5 shifts between us, but apparently we are both getting our share ... and so we have another £40 coming to us :good:

Result.

I had my eyes tested back in Nov, and they had changed a lot. I wondered why i had been getting headaches !! So i went in today to try on a lot of different glasses, and i have got an expensive gorgeous pair for work / going out, and a cheap pair for around the house / wearing to watch telly in bed.

I cant wait to collect them. They should be in within the week :w00t:

hello TB!

tell us more about being a mystery shopper - it sounds intriguing!

my dad was a mystery customer for a local van hire firm, at first he quite enjoyed it, getting a free use of a hire care or van, but to be honest the company and it's staff were so good that he never had anything out of the ordinary to report and eventually gave it up.

do they give you a certain amount of money so that you can actually purchase stuff? or do you buy it and then have to go and get a refund?

DYJLIW you return a broken item to a shop that refuses to give you a refund, but allows you to do a "straight swap" for something similar. Only they end up ends up swapping your item (which cost £15 originally) for another item which cost £45! At their suggestion!

Result!

I've come to the conclusion that the best time to do refunds and exchanges is when the shop is overrun with customers, the queues are huge and the sales assistant is the only 1 in the department.

It depends on the establishment. Restaurant and pub ones involve you buying drinks/food which you then get back as well as the fee!

Other ones I have done involve buying something and taking it back (obviously they need to check that their stores are handling refunds and returns correctly).

The trickiest part is being able to notice everything about an outlet (state of cleaniness, number of assistants, name badges, etc) without making it blatantly obvious that you're doing it. Having a mobile phone that records video is good because you can hold a phone more conspicuosly than you could a video camera (and it records what's being said to)

I haven't done a Starbucks yet but not sure I would like to - I'm not the greatest fan of coffee!

I sent in my CV the day after I was so horribly FIRED from my last job (CV sent in December 29, 2006) for a Directors position of a large, prominent daycare in town and was called Tuesday night to set up an interview for Thursday night. I was against 3 other ladies and one of them I knew (and was a little deflated when I knew I was up with her for the job). Well, I was the longest interviewed of the bunch and had a call less than 30 mins after leaving my interview to return today at 11.30am, where I met with the hiring commitee again to be told I had GLOWING references and...THE JOB!!:w00t: I will be over 15 workers and I will be making 10k (USD) more than I've ever made!!! We are getting our little MX5 on the road again today. Its our 'summer' car and last year we only taxed it for 6 months, and then put it in the shed over winter.

But its been such a mild winter we could really of used it.

So we have decided to tax it for the year this time, and if we do have a terrible cold snap we can always cash in the few months left on the disk. It will be nice to have the car for Easter Weekend, as its meant to be nice.

what is it with teachers and this martyrdom attitiude? I hope you all go to heaven and meet some real martyrs 'cos no-one will listen to your bleating and moaning up there.

You'd swear you were victims of oppression, not supposedly intelligent people who made an informed career choice.

And why do you get paid in the summer?
